Clickstream report is an open ended path reporting, for the
analysis of popular paths that visitors take on a website
Log in to Analytics interface > choose Report tab on the left
pane > click Paths > select Clickstreams
 Refer the screenshot
Click ‘create new report’ in the Clickstream list page
•You will need to manually select the page you
want to add for reporting, Discussed in
next slide.
BUILDING A CLICKSTREAM
REPORT
Click Create a ‘Clickstream report’ in the drop down menu
under pages 
•Select the page you want to add for reporting.
•Page is directly added to this report, as you navigate
through
this page (recommended)
Select the Traffic Direction

Enter a descriptive name
Select a date range

Chose the right
segment

It is a closed ended path report that is used to
analyze visitor behavior over user defined
paths within a website
Log in to Analytics interface > choose Report
tab on the left pane > click Paths > select

BUILDING TRUE PATH
REPORT
With the help of IBM Digital Analytics Plugin, Login with
your credentials and select the TruePath Builder
We can choose to edit the previously made path, but
here we will create a new path by opting first option

Click Next.
Now give this step a name,
From 2nd step onwards, you will be having the
option of mentioning that to be a required or
optional step between the path.
you can see that the pages have been defined now,
now you can publish this path for reporting, but
remember the last page cannot be an optional step,
It must be some required step.
After you have setup a series of Steps/Pages click
next.
Name this path, Provide comments, if
necessary,
You have the flexibility of Back processing,
You have the choice of start reporting now, or
make it populate but let it start when you tell
it to.
Or else save and start…
Click finish.
Once you click finish you will receive a
confirmation message with a pictorial
illustration of your path created.

Segments are groups based on some criteria and in this
part of the webinar we are going to discuss, analysis based
on that group/Segment

We will discuss how to create a PROFILE SEGMENT.
We can locate it at Reports →Demographics → Profile
Segments in the left navigation pane

your Segment to be based on
In this case we have taken
no. of visits is between 2 & 3
and gender = male

this segment.
5. Finally an attractive feature
that lets you Generate the
list of email addresses of
visitors that fall under this
segment
(You can use that list to
retarget customers too! )

Retention plays an important role in increasing Revenue. Treat them as they want to get treated & stay in touch via Mails, Promotions, Offerings, Thank you cards, Email Marketing etc. Improve your presence via social media & reward them so they choose you over your competitors. Be an advisor not an order taker, offer loyalty rewards to best customers.

CLICK STREAM REPORTING Clickstream report is an open ended path reporting, for the analysis of popular paths that visitors take on a website Log in to Analytics interface > choose Report tab on the left pane > click Paths > select Clickstreams  Refer the screenshot Click ‘create new report’ in the Clickstream list page •You will need to manually select the page you want to add for reporting, Discussed in next slide.
  • 12. BUILDING A CLICKSTREAM REPORT Click Create a ‘Clickstream report’ in the drop down menu under pages  •Select the page you want to add for reporting. •Page is directly added to this report, as you navigate through this page (recommended)

  • 14. Select the Traffic Direction Enter a descriptive name Select a date range Chose the right segment

  • 18. DIVE DEEP WITH TRUE PATH REPORTING It is a closed ended path report that is used to analyze visitor behavior over user defined paths within a website Log in to Analytics interface > choose Report tab on the left pane > click Paths > select TruePath Funnels
  • 19. BUILDING TRUE PATH REPORT With the help of IBM Digital Analytics Plugin, Login with your credentials and select the TruePath Builder We can choose to edit the previously made path, but here we will create a new path by opting first option Click Next.
  • 20. Now give this step a name, From 2nd step onwards, you will be having the option of mentioning that to be a required or optional step between the path.
  • 21. you can see that the pages have been defined now, now you can publish this path for reporting, but remember the last page cannot be an optional step, It must be some required step. After you have setup a series of Steps/Pages click next.

Name this path, Provide comments, if necessary, You have the flexibility of Back processing, You have the choice of start reporting now, or make it populate but let it start when you tell it to. Or else save and start… Click finish. Once you click finish you will receive a confirmation message with a pictorial illustration of your path created.

Lets start with a brief definition of WHAT WEB AND DIGITAL ANALYTICS IS ALL ABOUT.Web Analytics is the study of Online visitor Behavior in order to improve it.WHILEDigital Analytics is the use of Metrics to Gauge the performance of company's Digital Marketing efforts with the end goal of optimizing those efforts to reach the desired business goals.The goal of digital analytics is not just to collect data, but rather we collect the raw data and organize it in such a way that we can use it for something actionable. Something that has importance and meaning to us. From a Business Perspective We need to be able to answer all the questions that are fundamental to effectively market and grow our businesses..In this webinar we are going to focus mainly on the ASPECTS THAT CAN HELP YOU TO UNDERSTAND VARIOUS PROCESSES, THAT YOUR VISITORS EXPERIENCE ON YOUR ONLINE CHANNELS IN ORDER TO OPTIMIZE THEM, SO THAT YOU CAN GENERATE MAXIMUM REVENUE.
  5. This traditional funnel diagram, published back in 2000 was a great visualization, that could help quickly determine roadblocks and bottlenecks that customer encounters. And that perfectly made sense back then. Thru this funnel one could easily figure out their marketing expenses, how visitors are being acquired, if the persuasion is working well and is this letting them convert or not.Now you see, This was good, but only limited to acquisition, persuasion and conversion phases. This do gives us a bird’s view, but business insights are not limited to these phases only. Today we need much more than this basic reporting. Today businesses have more competition than they used to have few years ago. We have multiple platforms from where our visitors coming from. They are discussing us through social media. So We need to have a strong strategy to keep us standing in the market, and for that, we moved to a new model.

  12. Another way which is also recommended is to select the page from Page Categorization Report or pages listing and click over the down arrow just beside the page name and select the link to create a clickstream report.
  13. 1) Uncheck show recent pages only2) Search for what you want to add, as search criteria, in this case I took HOME as the search criteriaSelect the desired page3) Click next,
  14. Choose weather you want to see traffic coming to this page, ARRIVESOr The visitors exit this page, LEAVES Give the report a descriptive name Set the date range, Select either of the Backward Looking or Forward Looking report
  15. There would be two separate clickstream reports for Looking into both the ways.The “Leaves the page” Report will generate list of pages that visitor navigated to.And The “Arrive on the Page” Report will generate list of pages that visitor used or navigated to reach the selected page.

The report that is generated is quite simple to understand and gives a very descriptive view of visitos’ foot marks.-Discuss IconsFit to screenTop 5 Paths the user tookRestore+ for expansions For collapsingWe can also print email, or download the into various mediumsFirst row will have top 8 pages displayed You can even compare two or more paths as a funnel report.
