We not only improve data protection but rapidly speed up recovery. We provide solutions that span from the laptop to the data center and disaster recovery for companies of all sizes. Unique to FalconStor is the IPStor Platform. It is a single open platform technology upon which our products are built. It supports all storage types and all protocols. Our technology is proven – by evidence of over 2000 FalconStor customers. We partner and are sold by the world’s leading storage providers. Our OEMs include EMC,SUN, COPAN Huawei and Brocade. Strategic partners include IBM, Intel, Pillar Data. Customer satisfaction is high as evidence by our 90% maintenance renewal rate. Notes on partners: EMC renewed their OEM VTL contract through 2013; SUN has partnered to deliver OEM VTL and resells our CDP and replication solutions; H3C OEMs all the products and will be expanding worldwide; With IBM we have a co-selling agreement for our CDP; Pillar resells our VTL; Brocade (formerly McData) resells our VTL and co-sells CDP; COPAN is one of our first OEM VTL customers We are financially strong, consecutive quarters of positive cash flow since 2004, FalconStor is a global company. We have follow the sun service and support. We have local sales and services in 15 countries.
FalconStor NSS is based on FalconStor’s IPStor virtualization platform
The power of the industry’s most comprehensive data protection and disaster recovery software is now available as convenient, easy to use, appliances to speed ordering, installation, and support. Based on the industry-leading VirtualTape Library technology OEM’d by many major storage vendors, FalconStor VTL appliances solve the backup and restore issues associated with physical tape. FalconStor CDP appliances carry data protection to the next level, providing periodic or continuous protection for recovery to any point in time. CDP appliances can also be used in conjunction other FalconStor software to vastly accelerating backup to virtual or physical tape. Optional replication, which includes encryption and compression, provides near-instantaneous local recovery plus remote disaster recovery. Using CDP appliances in remote/branch offices, replicating to another CDP appliance in a central site, removes the need for backup/restore personnel and equipment in the branches. FalconStor NSS appliances are for organizations requiring iSCSI or Fibre Channel primary storage, virtualization and provisioning.

Key Issue: How will iSCSI hardware and software technologies affect users' deployment of SANs? iSCSI initiators are essentially free, and the network interface cards (NICs) required to run them are very inexpensive. Couple this with hundreds of thousands of servers not connected to SANs, and there is a clear opportunity for explosive growth in iSCSI server connections. TCP/IP offload engine (TOE) cards and iSCSI adapters are more expensive (near the same cost as FC host bus adapters [HBAs]), but they combine with NIC cards to present a set of choices. As the graph shows, FC server connections are forecast for continued growth, but iSCSI server connections will outpace and eventually exceed the number of FC server connections. However, much of this will be in the low end of the market. Strategic Planning Assumption: By 2009, iSCSI will surpass FC in server SAN attach rate (0.8 probability).

FalconStor NSS scales from simple SMB solution to large, enterprise organizations. FalconStor NSS provides the right combination of SAN storage, virtualization, provisioning and data protection FalconStor NSS improves
FalconStor NSS offers totally open storage virtualization architecture that allows customers to mix and match storage as they require. FalconStor NSS allows you to provision storage to all database, messaging and file servers – running on a host of operating systems and hardware platforms.
FalconStor NSS ranked #1 by CRN for Storage Virtualization and Thin Provisioning
FalconStor NSS virtualization allows IT to maximize storage utilization while increasing ROI for SAN storage already purchased. FalconStor NSS allows IT administrators to quickly and easily provision storage as applications and end-users require it.
All FalconStor NSS appliances are “self-protecting”. Each NSS appliance enables IT to take up to 255 snapshots for periodic data protection with instant recovery. NSS Snapshot agents ensure 100% transactional integrity. FalconStor Tin-Replication enables cost-effective and high-speed IP-based replication for offsite Disaster Recovery. Zero-impact backup allows IT to run backup from snapshots, removing the backup processing from the backup server. 2 NSS appliances can be configured with cross-mirroring for organizations that require a high-availability solution.
FalconStor TimeMark snapshots work with FalconStor snapshot agents to ensure 100% transactional integrity. TimeMark snapshots ensure granular data recovery to any last known good point in time. Snapshots help organizations meet their Recovery Point Objective (RPO). FalconStor TimeView allows IT to mount any TimeMark snapshot as a virtual volume – for instant recovery.
FalconStor Thin-Replication uses FalconStor Microscan technology to significantly reduce bandwidth requirements and speed replication for offsite DR. With Thin-Replication, only unique data is sent over the network. It’s almost like replication deduplication. Because FalconStor NSS is totally open, IT may use less expensive, slower storage for the DR site. FalconStor replication offers any-to-any replication.
FalconStor Thin Replication using MicroScan technology significantly reduces data sent across the network when compared to traditional Track-based Replication solutions offered by other suppliers. Thin Replication enables cost-effective IP-based replication and speeds the process as well.
FalconStor NSS Mirroring can be used for data migration, moving data from older disk arrays to new, more efficient disk arrays.
FalconStor HyperTrac backup accelerator option enables IT to backup data using backup software and snapshots without impacting the application server. We call this zero-impact backup
