Digital Textbook By Richard Russell
Use In Classroom Keeping up with new things to make learning easier. Students are more technology based. No need for books, can access them online or with CD- disk.
Digital Textbook Importance Easier for the students Easier for teachers. No excuses for why students shouldn’t have book in class.
What is a Digital Textbook Easier way for kids to read what they need to learn. More accessible for both students and teachers. Just need a DVD player or computer to watch textbooks. In future will be online for everyone's use.
Prices A lot cheaper then regular textbooks. Buy Package deals online (meaning whole years worth of CD’s/lessons can be bought at once for a wholesale price)
Avaliblity All you need is a computer to view textbook. If book is rare your more likely to find it.
Cons of Digital Textbook Students without computer will have disadvantage. Kids might abuse use of being online during lessons.
How is this going to impact K-12 education? Students more capable of doing all reading in class. Meaning no homework. A lot more fun for students and teachers Better of with using technology.
How might is impact K-12 education? No more textbooks to lug around. Improve grades and studies Typical classrooms will be filled with computer not desks.
What are some issues that need to be adressed? Kids without computers at home take textbook home with them. How is it really going to work….
Future for digital textbooks. If works out then all textbooks will be online and there will only be textbooks for the kids that cant go on a computer. Be around everywhere. Killing less tree’s.
Conclusion Greatly helpful to all aspects of education. Good impact, makes everything easier. Makes students more technology based.
