Willow is in a fight for her life. Please watch this presentation and decide if you can help.

1. WILLOW:THE FACE OF HOPELESSNESS, ABUSE AND NEGLECTBY: REBECCA YOUNG

2. Willow was an owner surrender to our local shelter. She had been neglected and then thrown away.

3. When I saw her there I knew I had to fightfor her because no one else ever had.

4. I posted her sad story on the internet and within an hour I heard back from Mariah’s Promise, a pit bull rescue in Colorado.

5. They said they would take her into their rescue. I immediately emailed and called the shelter to let them know she had a rescue. She was in the rotation to be euthanized the next morning – I hoped I was in time.

6. I got an email back saying I was in time – she wouldn’t be euthanized. I was there the next morning to pull her. When they brought her to me, wrapped in a towel, she wagged her tail when she saw me, as if she knew I was there to save her.

7. She went straight to the vets office.

8. She is dehydrated, has demadex mange, is emaciated, has pneumonia and is full of hook and round worms. Her gums are snow white, caused by the worms and being anemic.

9. She is covered in mange, flaky skin and scabs.

11. Her legs are swollen from the irritation from the mange.

12. Willow is at Airline Animal Health – Surgery with Dr. Daniel Core taking care of her.

13. She is a very sick girl and needs to get a lot better before she can fly to Colorado.

14. She has a strong will to live and I want to do everything I can to help her do just that.

15. She deserves the chance to see that all people aren’t cruel, that she deserves to be loved.

16. She needs x-rays, iv’s, antibiotics and a blood transfusion to start with. She will then need to be treated for the mange. Estimated cost for everything is around $1,000.

17. I am begging for donations to help Willow. Her life so far has been a miserable experience. Please help me help her see that she is worth something, that she’s not the piece of trash her owners thought she was.
