2. Color Trends 2014
Monochromatic
Neutrals dominate and are punctuated with a touch
of color
The featured color is BLUE and
its derivatives. Green tinted
blues are also popular.
Remember that
red, orange, violet and yellow
colors remain popular especially
as accents.
6. Shabby Chic
The Shabby style is a style in which we find
a patina finish that boasts a bit of a worn
look. Especially in pale colors such as gray
and beige. In this style, contemporary and
classic blend well. In terms of chic, this
would encompass the textures and
finishes.
i.e.: mirrored furniture, crystal
lamps, chrome accessories and silky
fabrics.
8. Industrial
(urban-rustic)
The interiors are refined and expose raw
materials such as stone, concrete, wood
slats. Even the granite loses its gloss.
The furniture is very design; this style
(even industrial) promotes open areas
exposing the piping and air conditioning.
The ceilings are high and the windows
are often soaring.
10. French Country
Another style that will remain popular in
2014, this is our country style revisited,
more refined. The wood is pale or even
pastel or platinum.
Oxidized metal is essential. The walls are
often covered with paneling painted
white. Finally, the fabrics are natural
materials (linen, raw cotton and wool).
Completed, printed and coordinated
colorful tiles.
