34. Air Navigation
Services
Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSP) are not only responsible for providing safe, efficient and
cost effective air navigation services to airspace users in compliance with state regulations, but also
for managing high performance businesses. Whether providing air traffic management, Aeronautical
Information Services (AIS), Search and Rescue (SAR) services, meteorological services or
Communications, Navigation, Surveillance (CNS) services, performance standards expectations are high.
Increasingly, there is competition between ANSPs and pressure to improve safety and services, reduce

statistical data.
IATA is recognized as the world leader in aviation data and information to help you understand air transport
economics, while CAAs are responsible for setting aviation standards and seeing that they are achieved.
Learn how to manage safety, risk, and quality in an integrated manner and put plans in place for all
eventualities in order to efficiently manage incidents, accidents and emergencies.

62. Fuel and the Environment
For airlines, management of fuel purchasing and supply is vital to the bottom line. Airlines need to know
what steps to take as reserves of fossil fuels diminish, jet fuel prices fluctuate, and taxes are imposed on
fuel and aircraft emissions.
Environmentally responsible growth is one of the aviation industry’s top priorities. Airlines, civil aviation
authorities, airport operators, air navigation service providers and governments need to work together to
create a sustainable aviation industry.
