Sahara is singer/songwriters Trish and Dave Long, a couple of
Dubliners now living in Australia. Their songs are
contemporary and eclectic with a jazzy feel and celtic roots.
Sahara's success has been soaring internationally since the
release of their CDs. Sahara 'Vision' and 'Live @ the
Malthouse' received high ratings in major Australian
publications. Sahara's 'Make My Day' was voted No.1 on the
'Soundclick' first internet charts. Sahara composed music for
an episode of the ABC TV Australian Story documentary
'Track winding back' which received the United Nations
Media Award. “Dave has an almost eerie "Sting" feel to his
vocals, whilst Trish's singing is very akin to the very popular
and respected Ellen Foley…”Late Nite TV USA “Dave's rock
vocals are tremendous ... The sax playing is to die for." IBL
UK. Sahara has spent years on the road touring around
Australia with plenty of live to air radio and TV performances.
The most recent tour was promoting their CD 'A New
Beginning'. Their latest release that they are now promoting is
'There is this place I go' and they are currently recording a
demo for their next album.
