6. 1825. DECEMBER 19. Many young women followed her ideas. Joachina asked the Bishop if they could form a foundation of sisters.
7. 1826. JANUARY 6. Joachina shows herself to Bishop Corcuera as a religious professional. Relief of the Church of the Divine Shepherdess in Vic.
8. FEBRUARY 26. Foundation of the Institute. Joachina and the sisters dedicated themselves to their job and the order of Charmelitas. This order was created by Saint Teresa of Jesus in honor of the Carmen Virgin (Charmelitas).
13. 1850. Five Bishops approve her constitutions that are stamped by the first time.
14. 1852. SEPTEMBER. Joachinaaccepts that it is time for her retirement because of her health. She moves back to the House of Charity of Barcelona. House of Charity of Barcelona.
15. AUGUST 28. Joachinasuffers a new assault of apoplexy, and a little later a rage. She dies at midday. She lived nearly 71 years. She left six children and eleven grandchildren. Also in her work, she left 150 sisters in 30 communities.
16. 1854. JULY 30. The epidemic of rage that existed in Europe, comes to Barcelona. From 1.600 sheltered ones in the House of Charity 442 die. City of Barcelona.
17. 1940. MAY 19. Joachina of Vedruna's beatification, by the Pope Pío XII.
18. 1959. APRIL 12. Holy Joachina of Vedruna is Canonized by the Pope John XXIII.
19. The mission of the Charmelitas Sisters of the Charity Vedruna in Argentina, in the year of our Bicentenary.
20. In the Year of the Bicentenary of Our Country, the sisters also will celebrate with us Joachina’s mission. They are in the Province of Santiago del Estero (PozoHondo), in the Province of Buenos Aires (Merlo and Suipacha) and in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (Balvanera: in our school, in the Vedruna Residence which is the centre of the Province of the Congregation of South America and in the Neighbourhood of Belgrano).
