2. The pattern of learning has changed in today’s educational world, now it’s not the educator who is teaching rather
there are students who are learning. The student’s community has changed dramatically over the period of time and
it has become a challenge for the whole teaching community how to inculcate knowledge in them.
The new type of student community and especially in courses like MBA and other professional courses where most
of the candidates are experienced or contain enough knowledge a well directed assignment or task will always serve
the purpose. Gone are the days of those old type of assignment where the students used fill A4 size papers with
some of the data and facts given into that, now assignment must not be concerned only with the knowledge part
rather there must be a follow up of the same also.
The nature of assignment has to be more of contemporary rather than only getting restricted to the academic aspect
of the course curriculum. Now days the topic of assignment may not be “Recession” or “Economic cycle” but for
sure it would be “Impact of recession on corporate financial strategies”. For sure assignments are getting more and
more directed towards implementation of leanings rather than learning only.
Some other aspects of new age assignment are related to review and follow up of assignments which are discussed
in detail in the paper.
