3. Register Relationships
This function allows one to map two or more registers into a
relationship. As a requirement The device should have undergone
technical installation.
One can also define register relationship at the Register Group level.
There are many types of Register Relationships like.
Serial Switching Relationship
Primary Rate – Secondary rate Relationship
Control Relationship
Resetting Relationship
Pulse Relationship
Usage Hour Relationship

4. Serial Switching
Serial Switching is only for Consumption Registers. Though there are
ways to implement this for Demand Registers but its recommended
to use to only for consumption meters.
So there can be only one primary meter in a relationship.
There can be one or more than secondary meters in a relationship.
A secondary meter can also be a primary meter for other meters
but it would need to be defined in a separate relationship
All secondary meters need to installed in the installation of the
primary meters : Billing Related installation.
Its recommended that the field ‘Not relevant for Billing’ is selected
for the secondary meters while installing it in primary installation.
Register Relation ship can be created using transaction EG75.
