Once you have registered for a myITlab account, you can sign in
by clicking the Sign In button at www.myitlab.com.
If you have not yet registered, you can click the Student button
to do that now.
2. myITlab Overview
This is the page you'll see as soon as you
log in.
The first thing you'll need to do is click
that Getting Started link and follow the
instructions there to make sure your
computer is set up to allow you to
complete the assignments.
Note that if it says your browser is not
compatible, do not attempt the work
here without first either upgrading your
browser or downloading a compatible
browser. If you don't do this, you may
find that the software does not allow
you to complete the assignments.

What to do
Once you open the Section 1 folder, you'll see a lot of links. Let's break them down.
eText: This is where you'll find the electronic version of the Microsoft Office Tutorial
book that is the companion to these exercises and exams. If you like to read about
the applications, how they're used, and why you'll be performing the steps you will
be performing, take a look at this.
Videos: These videos are a great way to learn how to do the things you'll need to
do by watching them being done. I strongly recommend these, especially if you
are not very familiar with the application.
Training exercises: These are a chance for you to try out the same skills you'll need
to have to pass the exams, but with "help" and "hint" buttons to help you out along
the way. These are especially helpful because you can check out whether your
favorite methods of doing something (like Ctrl+c to copy or right-clicking to choose
from a pop-up menu) will work in these simulations. If it works in the training, it will
work in the exam, and vice versa.
Exams: These are the only mandatory assignments. You must pass each exam with
a score of 70% or better to get full credit for them in the Moodle gradebook. You
can take these as many times as you want, but your highest score will be
transferred to the Moodle gradebook as of the due date.

After you've completed the Getting Started
steps, you'll want to click the Course Materials
link. Here you'll find folders that match the
sections in our Moodle course. Each one
contains links to the work you'll need to do in
that section of class.
For this first section, click the Section 1 folder.
