1) There are 6 levels of assessment from lowest (simple recall) to highest (evaluation). Levels include knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation.
2) Assessments also evaluate critical thinking skills and affective domains like attitudes.
3) Types of assessments are baseline (initial knowledge), diagnostic (identifying barriers), formative (monitoring progress), and summative (determining readiness).
4) When planning assessments, learning outcomes and standards must be covered. Research is done and evidence compiled without copying. Assessments are delivered on time.

147. Your Portfolio of Evidence: It is your responsibility to ensure that all your assessments are in the POE. During the year, you should add all your documents as you go along. If your POE is incomplete when it is handed to the GDE, your marks will suffer as a result! Your POE should consist of: A contents page Copy of your ID Declaration of authenticity The formal schedule of assessment The requirements for each assessment task The tools used for each assessment task Recording instruments for each assessment task A mark sheet and report for each assessment task Your signed document for each assessment
