A community response document to the original "Difficult Choices for Difficult Times" presentation. This interpretation looks at the number of bookings per head of the population. Looking at the figures this way reveals Lochwinnoch Library as one of the most successful in Renfrewshire.

Per head of population of ALL 12 libraries in Renfrewshire .......
• Lochwinnoch Library has the 2nd highest number of book
loans.
• It is third in terms of total transactions.
• It has the second highest number of computer bookings.
• Is joint first for the number of library visits.
• The Lochwinnoch average for number of visits per 1000 of
population is twice the average in the rest of Renfrewshire. see:

And yet Renfrewshire Council has singled out Lochwinnoch
library for downgrading and have been promoting the idea that it
is in decline.
