• The black box of an airplane is actually two separate boxes. One of
them is a flight data recorder and the other is a cockpit voice recorder
With four microphone :
1) Pilot's headset
2) Co-pilot's headset
3) Headset of a third crew member
4) Near the centre of the cockpit, where it can pick up audio alerts and
other sound
• The flight data recorder records everything that happens on the plane from an
operational standpoint, collecting data from sensors that are wired throughout the
plane
• A flight recorder (or aircraft's black box) is an electronic
recording device placed in an aircraft for the purpose of
facilitating the investigation of aviation accidents and incidents.

specific aircraft performance parameters.
• The purpose of an FDR is to collect and record data from a
variety of aircraft sensors onto a medium designed to
survive an accident.

It help us to find the reason behind the crash.
In the event of a water crash, these boxes are
capable of transmitting an ultrasonic pulse which
can be detected by specialized equipment, like
sonar.
It helps to investigate the last conversation of the
cockpit, captain, pilot, nearest control tower, crew
members, passengers and tech data’s in case any
disaster. Often quality dept used to examine it for
its function even though there is no incident.
