TREATY WITH FRANCE *After the French and Indian War, France wanted to get revenge on Britain. *In February 1778 France and America became allied. *France declared war against Britain. *Spain joined the alliance a year later THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION *The American Revolution was the result of many battles and conflicts between the thirteen colonies and the British Empire. *The thirteen colonies wanted to break free from Britain. *The war ended on October 1781 *Two years later on 1783 the Treaty of Paris was signed. *This document formally ended war between these two alliances.
