4. Why are we rebranding?
Nepean is in a privileged position with a well established footprint as a
significant Australian manufacturer and supplier to this sector.
The forecast growth in the Australian production of metals and minerals is
19% between FY10 & FY14, supporting a project pipeline of $320billion of
which $105 billion is already committed.
However, it’s not all mining! Capital expenditure on Australia’s civil
infrastructure has rapidly expanded over the last decade as a result of
strengthening commodities demand, a growing population and the
rebuilding of the nation’s capital stock. Annual capital expenditure on
Australian infrastructure has grown from $28bn in 2000 to $81bn in 2010
expected to increase to $132bn by 2014.
