Coaches Review: Oscar performed all stretches correctly with a good technique.
I thought he dealt with the new stretch I put in place well and
showed no signs that he found the training overly difficult.
Coaches Review: Oscar performed the squats successfully as his technique and
ability to squat the weight comfortably was shown.

Coaches Review: Oscar performed all stretches positively again including the
new stretch I included last week. Although he described to me
of a slight niggle in his lower back, he completed the training
well considering this was on his mind.
Coaches Review: Oscar in week 6 was again successful. He was able to squat
70kg in 9 reps 4 times. However, he began to feel tired and
took a slower time to complete the last set compared to the
previous ones. This shows it is challenging for him which is
positive.
Athlete Feedback
/ Questions:
Oscar asked me if his stretching matched the requirements in
terms of the duration of stretching, to which I replied yes, his
injury had no effect on his performance.

If No Describe:
The next session is planned to keep the weight the same.
However I will decrease the rets period as requested the
previous week and increase the reps by 1. This will be
interesting to see if he can recover quicker from man
increased reps per set.

Coaches Review: Oscar performed all stretches well with no signs of
uncomfortability. Even though I decreased the rest period as
requested, his performance was positive.
Coaches Review: Oscar’s squatting in week 7 remained surprisingly successful. It
was evident from the last set that he felt challenged by the
increased weight and reduced rest period. However, he still
completed the exercise with the correct technique. After the
exercise, he stated that was the hardest week of training so
far!

Are the Next
Session Overload
and Progression
Plans
Appropriate?
If No Describe:
The next sessions are planned to increase the stretch period
again by 5 seconds due to this weeks improvements of
completing all stretches without concerns. This may be
challenging for Oscar. In addition, the rest period has
decreased and the number of stretches he must perform has
increased to challenge him even more.
Are the Next
Session Overload
and Progression
Plans
Appropriate?
If No Describe:
The next session is planned to increase the weight to 75kg and
increase the reps per set and decrease the rest period even
more. This will be challenging his ability to recover from a
lengthened set. At first I would say that I can predict he will
find it very difficult, however, this week he over achieved
which has bent my prediction.

Coaches Review: Oscar performed all stretches very successfully considering all
the overload I included in this week prior to his final testing.
Coaches Review: Oscar’s squatting in week 8 was again impressive. This is
because he managed to complete the exercise with the same
components as last week except he was squatting 80kg. Last
week he surprised me by squatting a higher weight with a
reduced rest period. This week it showed it was challenging
him even more as reps 8-10 of the last set proved his
development from the start of the programme. Those last 2
reps were difficult for Oscar yet still completed. 8 weeks ago,
he would never have been able to complete what he did this
week.
