One of the common issues that people often discuss in
     online fitness forums plus the gym is fat. I often
   understand the question does muscle burn fat? The
answers I've come across and heard vary greatly i hope I
 will dispel some of the myths and confirm some of the
truths. Shedding fat can be easy or hard, it depends how
                      we approach it.
So getting right down to it the short fact is that muscle
 genuinely does burn fat, that features all the muscles of
      your body, even your heart and diaphragm. The
circumstances have to be right though. Muscle won't get
 rid of fat 24/7 and it won't even burn as much as some
                    people might think.
Muscle will always burn carbs and sugar before fat. The
 reason behind this is that burning carbs and sugar is a bit
    more efficient and simpler for the body to perform.
However when muscle is burning these it is going to cease
burning fat. For many people who've a diet that is high in
carbs this is going to be a problem, you see it isn't all that
   feasible for the body to generate the switch between
    burning carbs and fat. One's body needs to make a
   hormonal switch that may take time. This can be why
  those with high carb diets are also on the large side, the
reason is that they don't give their bodies the time to get
                    into fat burning mode.
Does muscle burn up fat while you sleep, or are you
looking to be running miles for the treadmill? The reality is
   muscle will burn off fat any time nite and day. In fact
muscles will get rid of fat at almost a similar rate while you
         sleep as if you are sat around the couch.
If you need to burn your system fat you need to take
 control of your diet. The simplest way to get the body to
burn fat is either to eat a paleolithic/primal diet , involving
 very little carbs and so your body switches permanently
   into fat loss mode, this can be the best way to eat for
     those who have a lot of weight to shed. The second
method is to alternate carb and fat ratios inside your food.
  The simplest way to do this is to consume slightly more
 carbs than usual on days that you simply work out while
 minimising your fat intake, as well as on rest days or days
which you do just walking or slow movements you need to
           eat more fat while minimising the carbs.
Another important question is does muscle burn off fat
 fast? After many years of study the answer to this one is
  slightly disappointing. I know of reports that point out
that muscle will burn 50 calories per pound of bodyweight
  per day but the truth is that it's actually better 5 or 6
  calories. And if you're wanting to lose fat don't trust
   putting on a lot of muscle and after that using that of
burning of the fat. We have tried that method plus it really
                       doesn't work.
