RAISED FLOOR WITH SEISMIC RETENTION SILENTFLEX®
Silentflex® brand is an expert in the isolation of vibration, noise and shock, with a long tradition in the protection of Data Centers against seismic action.
Our brand is the result of a profound engineering work specializing in mechanics with close collaboration of the experts referenced seismic isolation technology and computer systems vibrations.
SEISMIC RETENTION SYSTEM
Raised floors units installed in the Data Centers, must be protected against seismic waves, incorporating horizontal containment systems to prevent shaken effect of type P waves.
These waves are characterized by a high frequency and acceleration, so the horizontal stops based on vibration Silentflex® steel cushion provides excellent resistance to such waves.
Silentflex® seismic retention system has a foolproof way to stop the raised floor shake preventing the further reinforcement effort cushions shock applied over the adjoining walls.
2. SEISMIC PERFORMANCE OF METALLIC CUSHIONS
The main characteristics of the metallic cushions Silentflex® are:
• The static stiffness ensures constant natural frequency for a wide range of loads within a small volume
• Support for high overload and shock retention
• Manufactured 100% stainless steel, both in AISI-302 and AISI-304 or AISI-316 for highly corrosive environments in chemical industries, feed, aeronautics, etc.
• Adaptability to customer needs and ease of assembly
• We can manufacture shock absorbers metallic cushions specially designed for our clients in form and performance.
• They keep their elastic characteristics at extreme temperatures between -70 °C and +300 ºC and in certain applications ranges between -150 °C to +400 °C
• Natural resistance to the presence of aggressive substances in their environment: grease, oil, water, etc.
• Natural frequency between 12 and 25 Hz (ideal for seismic isolation frequencies)
