CAFOD provides both short-term emergency relief and long-term development assistance. For short-term relief, CAFOD works with local partners to provide food, shelter, water and healthcare to people affected by conflicts and natural disasters. CAFOD then helps communities rebuild essential infrastructure and supports livelihood programs to transition relief into long-term development. This can include building homes, schools, and job training programs. CAFOD aims to work in communities for the long-term to ensure sustainable improvements to standards of living.
