Future Smart Web components and services will be designed, developed and deployed in unconventional business environments. Advanced social and semantic aspects of the Worldwide Web have already profoundly impacted sales and marketing. These aspects will also shape how we conduct product development and production of components and services. An innovative mixture of scientific expertise and public and corporate research and development will be required to succeed in this rapidly evolving environment. In my talk, I will discuss some related models, present case studies and try to derive some guidelines to enable successful and affordable development of future smart web components.
