In the beginning... We had four strong story ideas. Most interesting to create. Easiest to produce with our restriction. Lauren’s story idea.
Forms and conventions of media products Forms and conventions of Romantic Drama’s. Male and female Music Mise en scene Camera angles
Representation and Social groups Our media product represents two particular social groups. We also worked hard on the representation of characters such as the big shot businessman in his nice car and our ditzy woman being late for work.
Max Costume: Suit. Body Language: Walking casually. Mise en scene: Car, tie, starbucks.
Laura Costume: Skirt, heels, coat. Body Language: Running. Mise en scene: Train station. Dialogue: Apologetic, friendly.
Distribution Logo Ideas:         Researched different film studios, in the UK as well as U.S and have come up with different ideas, such as: Text Image Image and Text Graphics (sketches) Due to scheduling and time problems we have decided to use Google and search some images and see what we could come up with.
Our ideas fro Google images were :  Landscapes Sunsets Sunrise Mountains Clouds – sky Panoramic photography S.L.E.R. Productions
       For Distribution we have looked at programmes, TV channels, competitions, media companies and film studios. Skins (E4) competition BBC Studios and Post Production ITV Ealing Studios (London) Film festivals such as ; * Sundance (American) * Cannes Film Festival (France) *Telluride Film Festival (US) *Raindance Film Festival (UK)  Adidas competition for new, young directors – send your film to www.adidas.com
These are some of the most known and successful film studios behind the most memorable films in history and our inspiration and people we have looked up to: British Studios: MGM – British Studios Riverside Studios Ealing Studios Merton Park Studios American Studios: * Paramount Pictures * Warner Brothers * Summit Entertainment * Miramax * Dreamworks * Columbia * FOX
Target Audience Audience research for our genre film has helped us to establish our target audience who we should be aiming our film at.  After weighing out all our evidence, the conclusion we have come to is that our target audience would be mostly females and they would be in the age range of 15 – 30. ,[object Object]

Technology While filming our product we learnt how to work the camera.  How to unfold the tripod and attach the camera to the plate.  How to efficiently open the dolly and screw the tripod in.  We also learnt different shot techniques to show the story well and show the flow of the film.  Progress throughout filming…  ,[object Object]

  • 16. We now have the knowledge of how to complete specific film shots and camera angles.
  • 17.
  • 18. Editing We used windows movie maker. This software allowed us to cut down clips as well as slowing them, down or making them faster. Many different techniques were used to produce a smooth realistic final product. Once editing was complete we burnt our product onto a rewritable DVD so that it can be played from a computer or DVD player
