1. Location Analysis
-28575211455
In the corridors- I have decided to film here, because they look similar enough to ones you would see in hospitals. The green walls can be associated with a medicine feel, while the fact that they are long and narrow corridors, makes you feel uneasy. I also like the lighting because it looks quite creepy when it is darker. I will use a PO.V angle to film the lights from below, so it looks as if it is running along in a hospital bed. I will also use long shots and tracking, to film the actors.
-2381250139700In the boys toilets- I am going to film here after school, because if not there would have been boys going in and out. I’m choosing to use these toilets because they are relatively new and clean, which makes them seem sterile – something you would expect in a hospital environment. The number of sinks is good, because it meant that I can film from different angles, and James can wash his hands while Khalid is there as well. The wall gap between the mirrors also means that I can film Khalid’s reflection, but you wouldn’t see the camera.
-2381250119380Felbrigg social area- I decided to film here because I could make it look like a waiting room by putting all the chairs together and with the posters in the background. I also brought in magazines and cups to make it more realistic. The fact that the room is on the second floor, with big windows also meant it brought in a lot of natural light, so it gave good shadowing, and contrast. The high up windows also mean that I can sit on the window ledge and get some eye level shots more easily.
These are the three main locations I will be using, but the two others will be my kitchen to film the stabbing scene, and my spare room/mi room to be the hospital rooms.
