2. Feminism:
Britney Spears grabs her fans bum in the video. This is
a representation of women objectifying men rather than
the other way round. It shows a woman's independence
and confidence to do things that men are stereotypically
known to have the confidence to do to women.
Post-feminism:
Here, however, she is using her body for the attention of
men on the street. She in flashing her assets which is
what women are used for in many post feminist music
videos. She is using her sexuality for the attention of
men.
Feminism:
this is a feminist view of Britney whereby she is beating
up the man in the video. The fact that she is a woman
and is using her strength and power to hurt a man
shows that she is aware of her own strength and has
control over the man which subverts typical conventions
of objectified women.
3. Feminism:
By her facial expressions in this seen, it is easily
noticeable that she is fed up with the press and she
doesn’t do anything to hide her emotions. The fact that
she is dressed in barely and clothes and is standing on
her own in front of a crowd illustrates her independence
and confidence which are main conventions of feminism
Post-feminism
Here she is leaning over the car while the male police
officer is searching her. Although she is being objectified
as she is leaning over the car, it can be seen as if she’s
using her sexuality to attract the male audience.
Post-feminism
She is almost used as an accessory to the car a she is
leaning over the car windscreen. She is dressed in a
bikini top and mini-skirt in order to attract the male
audience. The man in the driving seat is also looking at
her while driving as she sings and dances next to him
while he is casually driving. This could suggest that she
is an object for his eyes
