Pia Taavila, English Professor at
Gallaudet University and CODA (Child of
Deaf Adults) reads and discusses her
poetry, inspired by growing up in a Deaf
world of visual imagery. She is the author
of Moon on the Meadow (Gallaudet U.
Press, 2008), Two Winters (Finishing Line
Press, 2011), and Night Watch
(forthcoming). ASL and voice interpreters
will be present.
