Inspiring College Students with Learning Disabilities Using Concept Mapping Software

The document proposes that Cerro Coso Community College invest in Inspiration concept-mapping software to help students with learning disabilities succeed. It argues that the software can help clarify thoughts, organize information, integrate new knowledge, and think critically. The software produces legible text, guides the writing process, and increases student self-esteem. The cost of the software per computer is only $69, less than the tuition for one student for one course. The proposal concludes that investing in Inspiration software for the learning resource centers would be an investment in the students' success.
