BUSINESS
EHAI is an indigenous non-governmental organization fully committed to ensuring equitable
access to quality and efficient health care services through the implementation of intervention
programs in the control of communicable diseases (e.g. HIV, Malaria, Tuberculosis etc.) and noncommunicable diseases of public health importance, as well as health systems support and
strengthening.
Today, it is in partnership with IHVN, CDC, USAID, ODSACA, PEPFAR, and Action Plus. It works
with Federal and State governments in Nigeria. EHAI’s vision is to become a leading global public
health oriented organization; ensuring millions of people have universal access to affordable,
equitable and effective health care. Its corporate head office is in Lagos state, Nigeria and a state
office in Akure, Ondo state of Nigeria, with plans to open more state offices in other parts of the
country.

CHALLENGE
EHAI receives grant funds from other organizations (e.g. Action Plus, Global Funds, etc.) to assist
in their mission of ensuring better health systems in communities. EHAI engages in securing funds
to effectively distributing resources to complying with governmental and donor reporting
requirements.
EHAI was running its operations’ data recording, processing and reporting manually using
Microsoft Excel which was laborious, time consuming and fragmented. EHAI needed a system to
automate its processes and effectively distribute resources to comply with national and
international financial reporting standards.
The organization required an efficient financial management solution that would provide
seamless financial reporting on Receipts and Payments for Cash flow statement, Inc. & Exp., Petty
Cash Analysis, Summarized Site Reports, Detailed Site Reports, Payroll Reports, Vendors’
Payables Reports, WHT Payables, etc.

BENEFITS
The ERP centralizes all the major functions to make EHAI a single unit versus a federation of
locations. The financial system is capable of evolving and adapting to changing business needs. It
enables real time information and reports for management use
Offers Real Time Consolidated Data - Availability of real time data across the organization
is the biggest gain. It imposes discipline, minimizes errors and eliminates the earlier
practice of backdating and deletion. The state office and the head office review the same
version of data, thus providing a better insight into business processes across the
organization and enabling the team to manage their activities smoothly.
Enhanced Productivity - The deployment of Microsoft Dynamics NAV has delivered
enhanced productivity for staff and management of EHAI, as it has given the organization
ability to significantly increase Efficiency – Removal of paperwork and rekeying, the use
of a web client, online requisition and approval, and the improved speed and functionality
of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 system means efficiency is continually improving to
ensure EHAI can deliver a consistent and high quality service.
Improved Control - Microsoft Dynamics NAV has helped improve operational and
financial control over the business and the procurement system as well.
Full Traceability - Every part of the process can be scrutinized and analyzed, providing
true transparency and traceability. Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 has enhanced and
improved this ability to drill down into data. All information is available at your fingertips.
For example, if any questions come up about a specific order, answers can be provided
instantly with a few simple clicks of a mouse, courtesy of a really powerful feature of
Dynamics NAV 2013.
