  2. There are hundreds of shorturls services. (click) I am going to share with you 3 urlshorteners that seem to have a dominant presence in the market place.

  4. Goo.gl is a simple straight forward shortener. It will track number of times it is clicked. So you can gather some limited information on utilization and engagement.
  5. Sameurl shortened now by bit.lyYou can create an account and start collecting some really good data within the bit.ly
  6. Dates of clicks, you can tie where you used the url to when it was clicked
  7. Understand how the access the short url
  8. During our Jolt & Bolt on Facebook insights we referenced three articles we wanted to share with you. Instead of giving you three urls we gave you one short url that accessed all three articles. 5 of you used it.
  9. Short URLS are a whole lot more than fewer characters. It can be as simple as just making a longer URL easier to transport or you can really use to help understand the true effectiveness of your social media strategy. Where, when and what your audience engages with.
