2. SYSTEM CALL
System call provide an interface between a process and
the operating system.
System calls are written in C, C++ and Assembly
language.

3. EXAMPLE
C Program involving printf () library call, which
calls write() system call.

4. The system call interface is the link between user application and
system calls.
Each system call has a number associated with it.
The system call interface maintains a table indexed according to
these numbers.

and return status of the system call.
