2. Who was Charles
Dickens?
Charles John Huffam Dickens was an English
writer and a social critic who was one of the most
famed and celebrated authors of the Victorian
Period. He was born on the 7th of February 1812
and died on the 9th of June 1870. During his
lifetime Dickens wrote many novels including
Great Expectations, A Christmas Carol and Oliver
Twist.
3. Why is he famous?
Dickens was famous because of the quality of his
writing and the contents and storyline of his
novels. Another reason he became famous was
because of the papers and when he was an editor.
He was also lucky enough for his first books to be
read by two publishers who helped for him to get
his footing in the writing world.

Dickens novels were loved by all not only because
of how well he wrote but because the audience
could relate to the text.

Charles dickens lived from the 7th of February
