Students at Farmington Elementary School participated in the American Heart Association's Jump Rope for Heart on Friday, February 3. Over 100 students took part in the event, which raised much needed funds.....and was a good and healthy event for students.

2. Students get instructions from Physical Education Teacher Jon Ostgaard
who coordinates the event for the school.
3. Students took turns working through activity stations, here a
group is working on a team jump rope.
4. Hula Hoops and individual jump ropes were part of the mix..
5. Students kept moving in staggered
rigorous two-minute sessions.
It was a work out but fun at the same
time.
6. The breakfast was sponsored by area
businesses! THANK YOU!

7. The gym station also has posters about
the heart so students can learn about
how blood flows through the system!
8. Over 100 students took part in the event. By the way, it was Jersey Day at the school.
9. Banners in the gym station show the long standing commitment of Farmington
Elementary to Jump Rope for Heart.
To date, the school has raised in excess of $85,000 for the effort.
