The morning that I started shadowing was the day of the Faculty/ Staff breakfast. It is to recognize faculty/staff that the Greek organizations want to show special thanks too. The morning of the event we showed up around 7:30 and the tables were all messed up with no chairs out in the Russell Ballroom. The office puts on many events throughout the school year, so it was interesting getting to see what goes on behind the scenes. Talking with other professionals- networking doesn’t stop! Dr. Keel, the President of the University was at the event. Talk to various different departments in the University (accounting office, registrar, etc.), other universities, guest speakers, national orgnizations executive councils…
They have implemented social media in almost every organization in the office. Registrations for incoming recruitment is on line and through facebook. Greek organizations all have their own chapter websites and the councils are starting to have their information put out on twitter/facebook pages as well.
