2. Sensing Modes And Working
Thru Beam Sensor –
• A through beam arrangement consists of a receiver located within the
line-of-sight of the transmitter. In this mode, an object is detected when
the light beam is blocked from getting to the receiver from the
transmitter

4. RETRO REFECTIVE SENSOR
• A retroreflective sensor contains both the emitter and receiver in one
housing. The light beam from the emitter is bounced off a reflector (or a
specialreflective material) and detected by the receiver. The object is
detected when it breaks this light beam

6. DIFFUSED BEAM SENSOR
• A proximity-sensing (diffused) arrangement is one in which the
transmitted radiation must reflect off the object in order to reach the
receiver. In this mode, an object is detected when the receiver sees the
transmitted source rather than when it fails to see it.
