American Sniper Research Paper
The american sniper is a very awesome topic that i wanted to write about for my last year. The reason
why i wanted to do it is because i have four relatives in the army marine and the navy and the
Airforce. So i want us to remember the sniper which is chris kyle he was a very awesome and
couraging person to me. when me and my dad went to watch the movie i didn t move one time except
for a drink and food.so i hope you have a chance to watch the movie american sniper. Chris kyle was a
character that would do anything for the freedom. When i heard that the veterans give us this freedom
i was shocked about it, plus i have some relatives that are veterans that i really care about, but one the
characters is my loving father he was in the army for 24 years.he started at the age of 18. I willing to

The writer that flew from los angeles came and helped a shoot the film. When they made the movie

any of the other branches of the united states military. The reason why they want chris kyle to be the
sniper was because he has good accuracy and aim for being called the sniper. The book, American
Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History, did indeed spend 20
weeks on The New York Times best seller list in 2012 (thanks in part to publicity generated by a
lawsuit filed by Jesse Ventura the former Navy SEAL turned Minnesota governor whom Kyle claimed
in his book to have punched out in a bar fight). But Hall, Morgan and Lazar needn t have worried.

Jeano Pucci Research Paper
Emilio Pucci s real name was Marchese Emilio Pucci di Barsento, and he was born on November 20,
1914 in Naples, Italy to one of Florence s most respected families. Unlike other designers, Emilio was
raised in comfort. In 1934 he became a skier, joining the Italian Olympic ski team, and started school
earning his PhD in Political Science. Emilio got a skiing scholarship and attended the University of
Georgia in 1935. He served several years as a pilot for the Italian Air Force, and returned to his home
in Italy because of health issues that kept him from flying.
The Pucci family lost most of their fortune in the war years. Skiing one day in St. Moritz, a reporter

By 1950 he had created his first couture line of clothing and presented it in France. Pucci was the first
in his family to hold a gainful employment in over a thousand years. Pucci began working closely

them unprecedented freedom of movement.
His first boutique was La Canzone del Mare . He developed Capri pants, silk twill shirts with a
masculine cut, open toed sandals and striped jersey tops, all in refreshingly vibrant colors that evoked
the Capri s natural beauty. He made a name of himself because of the bold prints that he would use for
his designs. Pucci is best known for his tight shantung Pucci Pants . His outfits could all be packed
together in a single bag because they were wrinkle free.
His designs featured sensual, free flowing lines that followed the natural curves of the body. The
collections had the allure of couture but were shed of the impracticality and cost of haute couture.
Women like Marilyn Monroe, Lauren Bacall, and Jacqueline Kennedy were seen wearing Pucci s
designs. Marilyn Monroe was actually buried in a green Pucci

World s Increasing Demand For Energy Essay
World s increasing demand for energy is fulfilled by different sectors (like Oil, Coal, Natural Gas,
Hydro, Nuclear and others). Fossil fuels remain the dominant source of energy powering the world
economy, supplying 60% of the energy increase out to 2035. Within that, gas looks set to become the
fastest growing fossil fuel, spurred on by ample supplies and supportive environmental policies.
1.1 BACKGROUND
From the advert of the modern oil and gas industry, petroleum geologists and engineers have followed
a conventional route for exploration; look for hydrocarbon source rocks, find reservoir quality rocks
where hydrocarbons can accumulate, identify a trapping mechanism and then drill a well. But a
revolution is taking place in the exploration and production (E P) industry. Rocks that in the past were
of little interest, other than as potential source rocks, are today being actively pursued as potential
reservoirs. When considering unconventional resource plays, the focus is on finding organic shale s.
This development represents a fundamental shift in the way exploration companies consider resource
plays. Engineers and geologists studying shale gas resources find that reservoir can lead to process
adaptation and refinement of techniques. It is important to integrate data from many sources and at
many scales to optimally drill, complete and stimulate wells to produce hydrocarbons from their
source rocks. The two other type of existing unconventional gas resources are

The Long Standing Effects On Children
There are about three hundred million children that are subjected to violence, exploitation and abuse
in orphanages (Kovacs Np.) Orphanages are supposed to be a haven for children to escape previous
problems, but instead these institutions are homes of nightmares for children. For example, many
children placed in orphanages are there to escape the abuse of families and loved ones, only to
experience more abuse at the hands of the orphanage caregivers. In the United States, at least one third
of children admitted to infant orphanages younger than 12 months of age died, primarily of
gastrointestinal and respiratory illness, often complicated by malnutrition (Humphreyes 625 634). This
is not a problem in America, there are thousands of cases like this in countries such as China, Russia,
Romania, and Africa, these countries are prohibiting children their happiness. Children have all the
odds against them. They are being abused and neglected. Many of them do not even get adopted.
Furthermore, there have been studies that show the long standing effects of orphans in institutions
after adoption. These institutions prevent child growth and development, most are inadequate for
raising children, many children develop mental illnesses, and they do not give children the education
they need to survive. For one thing, these institutions prevent child growth as well as development.
Children adopted from China were smaller physically and were behind peers in development. They

My Experience Of Teens
It is truly astonishing how much we, as teens in the 21st century, take for granted. We go through our
day, as if everything we do is a given right, rather than a privilege that we have. We don t ever stop to
think about how so much, could be taken away from us in an instant. It was Monday, June 5th, 2017. I
had just come back from an invitational hockey camp in Canada and I was up bright and early that
morning so that I could go to Westridge and take my last two finals of the year. By the time I had
gotten in the car, it was 7:20 in the morning, and I felt ready to take my finals. While in the car, my
mom was listening to KBS radio station. I wasn t completely listening, but from what I could hear, the
station was talking about a single engine plane crash in the Santa Rosa Valley that happened the other
day. They were just mentioning how the two victims in the plane crash were identified just as I was
getting out of the car. From there, I tried to clear my mind of everything and just reviewed the things
that I knew. I walked onto campus with my face inside a binder and although I knew the material, I
attempted to cram even more useless information into my brain. I stopped in front of my math
classroom when I felt my phone ringing inside of my crossbody bag, against my hip. I grabbed my
phone out of my bag to see that I already had 4 missed calls from one of my good friends, Miles
Brodey. Assuming that Miles would be calling me with a purpose, I adjourned my terse review

Greedlessness In Washington Irving s The Legend Of Sleepy...
Washington Irving wrote The Legend of Sleepy Hollow in 1820, which tells the story of Ichabod
Crane, a schoolmaster who persistently frightens himself with supernatural beings he supposes he sees
and hears on his way home from school. At one point in the story, Crane rivals for the love of a lady
with a man named Abraham Van Brunt. This man, known as Brom Bones to the townspeople, took
advantage of Ichabod Crane s credulousness to scare him out of town through a prank in which he
impersonated the dreaded Headless Horseman, the ghost of Sleepy Hollow. This caused Ichabod to
flee town out of terror. Ichabod Crane s characteristics of greed, superstition, and fearfulness ended up
causing his downfall. Ichabod Crane s greediness hindered his relationship with the townspeople,
consequently making some people, such as Brom Bones, more than happy to expel Crane from the
town, and others not sorry when he left. Ichabod had a great gluttonous appetite, so he lived
successively a week at a time with his pupils and their families, because they simply could not afford
to house such a gourmand. Moreover, he earned the distaste of the other men of the town while trying
to earn the affections of a lady named Katrina Van Tassel, whom he hoped to marry only because of
her wealth. He knew if he was to marry her, he would have many delicious meals awaiting him. The
pedagogue s mouth watered as he looked upon this sumptuous promise of luxurious winter fare.

accuracies and inaccuracies of how paranoid schizophrenia was portrayed in the film. The film begins
with Nash s time at Princeton in 1947, where he has come after winning the Carnegie Scholarship for

Charles. When Alicia visits the hospital, Rosen tells her that due to the nature of Nash s work, his
illness may have gone untreated for longer than most, possibly since graduate school; he also tells her
about Nash s hallucination of Charles, and she has to come to terms with the fact that Charles, who
she has heard so much about but never met, is not real. Alicia then goes to Nash s office and sees his

I Was The Most Amazing Woman
I never thought I was the type of person to succeed, let alone thrive in college. That term is utilized
loosely, but it seems fitting as I notice the significant changes in myself that I had only used to dream
about obtaining. It s difficult to discuss these changes without sounding pompous or self righteous, but
I ve come to find a great joy in reflecting on where I came from and where I stand today. I never
expect to actually attend college let alone fall in love with a university that gave me more than just an
education. My mother had grown very sick and I was too scared to think about moving away from her.
The last five years were spent taking care of her and being there whenever she needed me. I felt like it
was my job to stay. She, however, had a different plan. Being the most amazing woman that my
mother is, she wouldn t take no for an answer. For that I am forever grateful. I found a lifetime
organization that would change my life in countless ways, a passion for a career, and a love for
myself. I ended up creating a new chapter in a seemingly hopeless life story that I had the displeasure
to call my own. The day I decided to apply to Eastern Michigan University was the first step I made
towards a happier existence. Eastern was the only college I applied to. I had the pleasure of attending
swim training at Eastern as a young competitive swimmer so campus didn t seem too intimidating. If I
had to find a new place to try to call home, Eastern was the only place I

Drugs Are The Primary Use Of Treatment For Schizophrenic...
Schizophrenia is a mental disorder characterized with severe, chronic, and potentially disabling
thought disorder (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). Antipsychotic drugs are the primary use of
treatment for schizophrenic disorders (Kane, 1987). Some of the common used psychotropic
medications used to treat schizophrenia are: haloperidol, risperidone, aripiprazole, olanzapine,
trifluoperazine, perphenazine, quetiapine, thioridazine, chlorpromazine, and clozapine. Antipsychotics
like FGAs and SGAs are can be administered orally, in the form of a pill or liquid, or intravenously,
by injections. Like with oral forms of antipsychotics, injections offer side effects too. These side
effects vary but are very much alike to those of the matching drugs in oral form, though added mild or
infrequent injection related side effects can occur such as: pain, skin thickening, and nodules (Haddad
Fleischhacker, 2011). Antipsychotics administered by injection is one approach to managing
nonadherence, although this approach does not work for all patients. Additionally, a proportion of
patients who start on injections, later, do not continue with treatment. One study found more than half
of patients who began risperidone (Risperdal) injections, stopped after 6 months of treatment (Taylor
et al., 2004). With injections, patient nonadherence can be due to the personal characteristics, dosage
range, initial startup, administration of the drug, and monitoring. The dosage range for each

African Americans And Reconstruction Essay
Throughout the duration of the Civil War in 1861 to the 1920s, African Americans made significant
strides toward their advancement in America and toward equity with whites. After having being
subjected to white governance and enslaved for so long, their dependence generated a sense of
unfamiliarity with their newly acquired emancipation. This uncertainty sparked many debates
regarding the most effectual way to go about receiving their inalienable rights as human beings, not
merely substandard Negros as they were perceived to be. However, some thought that the most
effective approach would be to acquiesce to the subservient status upheld by whites in order to earn
their respect until equity permeated. Others were more combative in their ... Show more content on

Moreover, the subsequent time period following the war was deemed the period of Reconstruction, a
time of mending a restoration after the detriment of war. However, it was during that time that
southern whites attempted to regress back to enslavement by perpetuating their preeminence over
blacks and instituting restraints on the rights of the freshly freedmen. Such measures as the Black
Codes and the KKK were implemented within the South to regulate the actions of African Americans
as though they were in slavery but without the security of safety that comes with being considered
property. Though chattel slavery had been abolished, the abruptness of its termination left several
pertinent issues unresolved in relation to the status of African Americans. The terms of the war only
required the southern states to remove the succession clause from their state constitutions. However, in
spite of its connotation of brutality, the period of Reconstruction was also beneficial in some repute as
it established public education for both blacks and whites. Although their predicament didn t improve
much, gradually there was a transformation in the manner in which African Americans regarded
themselves. This self realization is what

Research Paper On Wigs
History shows Egyptians wearing wigs, but those of means had human hair sewn into their own hair.
Powdered wigs graced royal heads during the (), and the elaborate hairstyles of the Victorian,
Edwardian and the Gilded Age were artistic creations that were impossible without hair pieces. For
every era there are elaborate techniques for adding hair where needed or desired and as styles repeat
themselves, ancient hair weaving techniques have returned as today s hair extensions. Millions of
women will spend time and money on chemical curls, permanent relaxers and dyes to hide age or
draw attention. While these maneuvers change the hair s appearance, they do not change the one thing
that many men watch for, the length.
Wigs give their wearers immediate gratification, but wig caps can be drying, inexpensive synthetic
wigs can look unnatural, and human hair wigs can be too expensive. Add the wear and tear of having a
wig s cap rubbing against the hair and length gained through patience can be lost to breakage. When
modern women consider temporary length, hair extensions are often the answer. However, choosing
high quality, human hair extensions means understanding human hair itself. Each strand of hair is

Meniscus Trauma
One of the most common injuries that can occur in a person s life is an injury to the meniscus. The
meniscus is a vital part of cartilage located between the bones of the knee. It helps with stability,
mobility and also cushions the knee. There are several menisci within the knee and this along with the
variety of motions and impacts that can occur to one s knee are what cause the likelihood of injury to
increase dramatically. The various types of tears require different kinds of rehabilitation. Some of
these tears may require surgery. By understanding the injury and different types of treatment options,
an injured person will have a better chance at a full recovery.

The at home treatment, R.I.C.E., is recommended with minor tears. R.I.C.E is the acronym for rest,
ice, compress, and elevate. Rest means not to overuse the injured area; keep the knee mobile, but cut
down on its use. Ice means to ice the injured area for ten minutes and then ten minutes off several
times, and repeat this pattern three times a day; these numbers may change depending on your doctor.
Compression helps diminish swelling of the injured area. Keep the injured area firmly compressed
with a wrap or compression band and make sure it is not too tight because this will restrict blood flow
and slow the healing process. The tightness of the compress should limit expansion and not cause
severe compression. The knee should be elevated at least twice a day. Raise the injured area above the
heart. In the knee, this is easily done by lying down on your back and raising your leg. Anti
inflammatory medications such as ibuprophin, advil, motrin and naproxen may be recommended, but
ask your doctor before using any medications. For more serious tears, such as moderate to large tears
in the red zone , surgery will be a likely solution. This surgery is called a meniscectomy . This is
where the doctor will remove the entire injured meniscus. For tears that spread from the red zone to
the inner two thirds of the meniscus, surgery may not help. Another option is a partial meniscectomy.
This surgery is where only a part of the meniscus is removed. Talking with your doctor will be the
deciding factor. Decisions will be made based on the meniscus ability to heal as well as the patient s
age, health, and activity

General Motors Manufacturing Case Summary
Executive summary
In spring 2010, New United Motor Manufacturing Inc., a successful joint venture between Toyota
Motor Co. and General Motors Co, shut down its plant in Fremont, California. Over two decades
NUMMI was a model manufacturing plant with high quality and productivity, exceptional worker s
satisfaction and attendance. What did NUMMI do to change the former GM s dysfunctional disaster
into best plant?
This report is going to examine a dramatic change conducted by NUMMI s leadership. It will address
three main reasons which made this change possible: Creating a new production system Developing a
new management system Reformation of corporate culture.
And finally, the recommendations will be identified ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
NUMMI was created as a team based organization with sense of interdependence and unity. There
were just three level management levels; in contrast, old GM s plant had a six levels hierarchy. A team
leader, who was responsible not only for coordinating teamwork and trainings of team members, but
also was able to replace a team member on line if needed, represented the first level of management.
The second level management in addition was responsible for budgeting and planning. Moreover,
these managers were expected to resolve the problems at the lowest possible level.
In order to foster fair and efficient environment NUMMI designed a new job structure; specifically,
job classifications were reduced from 81 to 3 with the same wage rate. Developed reward system also
tended to equalize rewards among employees. For instance, a team leader received only a 50 cent
hourly premium and each team was awarded with a small social budget.
Continual training system and information sharing among all team members let the company to
support its goals. Implementing the stop the line system allowed management to empower its
employees by pushing down responsibility for the production and quality at the lowest possible level,
to a worker. Meanwhile, the policy of mutual trust or no layoff policy established a real trust between
the company and employees by ensuring its workers to

Spying In Sony s Film, Without You, There Is No Us
Spying could be defined as observing furtively and to perceive by careful observation. Literature
resembles spying because an author writes a story line that containing characters who interact and
build up the plot; as a reader or viewer, we see what happens within the characters. Also, the author
has the ability to create an espionage story line or narrate what goes on. An example of this type of
literature spying would be the production of the film, The Interview, where Seth Rogen and James
Franco both have the opportunity to produce and act in the film. In 2014, Sony s film production of
The Interview rose a controversial argument between the North Korean government and Sony
Corporation, which later involved president Barak Obama. The film directed by and starring Seth
Rogen and James Franco, begins with a tabloid show run by Dave Skylark and Aaron Rapoport.

When the two protagonists first arrive to the Dictators home, they use technology provided by the CIA

North Korea it involves surveillance through a hearing piece. Director and producer Seth Rogen,
creates the film with the entire plot revolving around spying. Rogen previously explained that he
intended the film to work as a political satire against North Koreas totalitarian regime as well as a
comedy. (Rebecca Hawkes). Despite the film being a comedy, it represents factual information about
the totalitarian government and the living conditions of citizens in North Korea. Before the film got

Comparison Tom and Gatsby in The Great Gatsby
Tom Buchanan and Jay Gatsby... perfect foils?
By: Daniela Calderon
In The Great Gatsby, written by Scott Fitzgerald, Tom Buchanan and Jay Gatsby are two characters
that struggle with the idea of losing their shared love interest, Daisy. Tom and Gatsby s attachment to
Daisy is differently justified due to their contrasting views, personalities, attitudes, actions,
backgrounds, and other factors, some of which they do share and concur in. Fitzgerald did a great
thing here. He created two purposefully different characters one that is easily despised, the other that
although not perfect, is likable and united them in their love for money, the power that comes with it ,
and their haunt for the ultimate prize Daisy. In this essay, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not even the effeminate swank of his riding clothes could hide the enormous power of that body...it
was a body capable of enormous leverage...a cruel body. On the other hand, Gatsby seems to be shy
and reserved to the point where he is not even acknowledged at his own parties. In my opinion,
Gatsby did not do so well when attempting to pull off a defying front during his confrontation with
Tom. Tom also comes off as a racist bigot who fears that the Black race will eventually submerge the
White race, a sexist, and an abusive, insensitive, brute , like Daisy calls him. Gatsby s open house
parties which contain very colorful characters, on the other hand, seem to show little prejudice or
judgment in his persona. Gatsby s action of waiting outside the Buchannan s home all night just to
make sure Tom would not physically harm Daisy, show just how sensitive Gatsby is to Daisy s well
being. Tom seems to be very blunt and crude, while Gatsby s distinguishing feature is the enigma that
is his life. Jay Gatsby holds himself to high expectations and lived his life chasing a single dream,
while Tom Buchanan seems to have no direction, goals, or dreams, other than to waste away his
wealth, and please his selfish needs. In my opinion, the fundamental difference between Tom and
Gatsby is how Fitzgerald decided that justice would be served to each concerning part. Tom is the

Using Population Control to Achieve Environmental...
Environmental sustainability is when a person, community or area is able to meet the needs of the
present, without compromising the needs of the future. Overconsumption will lead to hardship in the
future, and possibly to the destruction of the planet s finite resources; and if we continue using our
resources as at current rates, which have been estimated to be 4 planets worth of resources, this will be
inevitable. Populations are all the inhabitants of a specific area/country and this population can be
controlled in various methods such as population policies, like the ones in China, Kerala and France;
as well as control via migration by putting on limits.
A population control method that has achieve environmental sustainability is ... Show more content on

On the other hand, Canada has a fairly low population density of just 3.75 people per square kilometer
and with high resources, Canada is environmentally sustainable; some even say that Canada is under
populated and therefore Canada is lenient on in migration.
Similarly to this, Thomas Malthus (1766 1834) had the theory that when population overshoots a
certain point (usually food production) there will be catastrophic effects. The club of Rome, in 1968
published a report called the limit of growth , which stated that population growth will lead to an
increase in food demand and this will eventually lead to resource exhaustion, which is obviously not
environmentally sustainable. To prevent resource exhaustion, the Club of Rome decided that we have
to regulate population growth and reduce fertility and that is what China s One Child Policy, and
Kerala s non enforced population policy was aiming to do. Similarly, the anti Malthusianist Ester
Boserup was a resource optimist, with research based on studies of shifting cultivation. Her hypothesis
was that population growth would result in an increase demand for food and to meet this demand,
improved agriculture productivity would be needed. A higher agricultural productivity means an
increase in methods of agriculture like the slash and burn technique, which often are not
environmentally sustainable at all.
All these population / resource theories

Summary Of I Survived The Bombing Of Pearl Harbor
The book I Survived the Bombing of Pearl Harbor was written by Lauren Tarshis . This book; like
most historical fiction books; mixed actual events with fictional characters. I overall liked this book
but was a bit disappointed when they mainly focused on characters rather than real events. The
summary of the book is about a boy named Danny who lived with his Ma in New York City, but that
all changed when Finn; a friend of Danny; fell off a balcony and got hurt. Danny s Ma then decided to
move to Hawaii because she thought it was much safer there; Danny really wanted to get back to New

Life In A Normal Life
I was a normal person living in a normal house in a normal neighborhood. I had a normal job working
as a youtuber.I was living this life until one call changed everything. My brother called me, he said
that our mom was in the hospital. On my way to the hospital i wasn t really worried because my mom
always says she s sick when she s not. I went in the patient room where my mom was, and i saw my
brothers face, he didn t look happy. And i knew something bad was going on. The doctor told my
brother that my mom could have some kind of virus in her stomach . But what we didn t know was
that it wasn t a virus, it was something worse. The doctor came in the room with a worried face, he
wanted to talk to us in private outside the room. We went outside the doctor told us that they found
that our mom had cancer in her stomach. The doctor told us that they found it so early that with
enough treatment she could get cured in about 6 months. But that was the good part, the bad part is
that the medicines were too expensive. The job i had right now, working as a youtuber didn t produce
enough money to pay the medicines, and the worst part was that my brother didn t have money right
now because he was building a house. Was desperate for a job that gave me a good amount of money.
1 week passed and i still didn t have a good job. Until one day when i was watching one of my

Themes Of Multiculturalism In Two Nation
Multiculturalism that promotes maintaining the distinctiveness of multiple cultures is often contrasted
to other settlement policies such as social integration, cultural assimilation and racial segregation.
Multiculturalism has been described as salad bowl, or cultural mosaic rather than a melting pot . In
Chetan Bhagat s Two States (Story of my marriage) multiculturalism is the central theme. Chetan
Bhagat is an Indian writer who writes differently from others. His novel Two States is partly
autographical. The story is about a couple, Krish and Ananya who hail from two different states of
India, Punjab and Tamil Nadu respectively. They are deeply in love with each other and want to get
married. Chetan Bhagat writes on the back cover of the book that love marriages are simpler and less
complicated all over the world but the case is not so with Indian society. Love marriages around the

Essay On Eucharist And Eschatology
The Lord s Supper, or the Eucharist, is a representative meal of the Gospel; bread and wine represent
the human body of Jesus sent by the Father to be broken for our iniquities so that we may have
everlasting life through the Spirit. In this respect, it is easy to see how the Eucharist and eschatology
are related, for the sacrifice of Jesus gives believers hope for their future. However, there are many
intricate connections between the two doctrines that the Church and believers fail to recognize. In her
article Eucharist Eschatology , Martha Moore Keish explains that it is easy to recognize how the
Eucharist is reflective of the past and influences the present, but it hardly makes claims about the
future. Similarly, eschatology makes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Furthermore, eschatology is best understood when it considers Good Friday, for without His death,
Christians have no reason to hope for the renewal of creation. However, this renewal does not come
without judgment, a prominent tension point when discussing eschatology. Thus, Moore Keish argues
that in light of the Eucharist, this tension can be resolved. The Eucharist, she explains, serves as a
reminder that the Judge is also the Redeemer , yet it is important to remember that judgment has
already come when Jesus bears the sins of the world (122). For Christians, judgment is the past and
future, and it motivates present actions that are honoring and God fearing.
The doctrines of the Eucharist and eschatology are best understood in the context of each other, yet
Moore Keish continues, arguing that the unification of the doctrines unites the body of believers. In
partaking in the communal sacrament, believers get a taste of the eschatological feast of the Lamb
when they will all be seated at the table of the King (116). Therefore, communion is more an act
within community than a display of one s own salvation. The breaking of the bread and pouring of the
wine is an act in which the disciples partook. When the Church performs the Eucharist, they are
joining with the body of believers past and present in the remembrance of Good Friday while yearning
for the day all believers will be gathered around the Lord s table.
One of Moore Keish s central claims

Abuse Of Power Throughout History
Throughout history, people have gone crazy over power, making them do things that they would have
never done. Stories have been written, wars have been fought, and even families destroyed over the
struggle for power. Desiring power is part of our human nature, everyone wants it, and what one does
while in power, is often attempts to gain more. Even the most paramount leaders can become corrupt,
leaving their legacy resonating through history. A common theme throughout our history is the abuse
of power. It is often that societies find that their highly elected officials have broken laws to a large
degree. With superfluous power, there is an abuse of power. Human nature is to covet power, and
when someone feels power, it makes them go ballistic over it, eventually, leading to that power
becoming corrupt. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Ethics Of Managing Ethics
Managing Ethics
Ethics are a set of moral values about what is right or wrong. According to (managementhelp.org),
Philosophers have been discussing ethics for at least 2500 years, since the time of Socrates and
PlatoBeing a manager, one deals with countless ethical dilemmas which makes his or her job
challenging and complex (book). Managing ethics then refers to how a company ethically treats
employees, stakeholders, owners, and the public which greatly affects the organizational performance.
This paper aims at exploring the meaning of behaving ethically, how managers and organizations can
achieve an ethical behavior towards the people and organizations in their environment, and tackles
some ethical issues that managers often face ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Each of these models has its own ways of determining if a decision or behavior is ethical.
Managers deal with decision making in every single day of their job. Therefore, they need to make
ethical decisions which would benefit their organization. An ethical decision is the one which a
reasonable or typical stakeholder would find acceptable because it aids stakeholders, the organization,
or society. An unethical decision is one where a manager would have to hide from others because he
rejects all ethics that apply in a certain situation in order for him or the organization to benefit at the
expense of society or other stakeholders. When manager are trying to determine whether their decision
is ethical or unethical, they should ask themselves a certain set of questions. First, a manager should
ask themselves if their decision falls in the accepted values or standards that typically apply. Second,
they should ask themselves if they are willing to share their decision with all the stakeholders affected
by that decision. Finally, managers need to ask themselves if the people with whom they have a strong
personal relationship would approve of their decision. (book).
If an organization is too large, its managers may need to develop an overall ethical code which every
employee should not break. Codes of ethics are formal standards and rules that managers can use to
help themselves make appropriate

Social Security tax; you should know this because it is the largest tax that comes out of your

care for the well being of those in the country, and I do not want to see anyone suffer from the
mistakes of our government. If the community could raise awareness and need for change of the
current system, than we can begin voting for those in office to get the process in the works. Out with

Pros And Cons Of School Shootings
School shootings are terrifying and a big problem in today s society. Schools have added lockdown
drills, bullet proof glass and metal detectors. School should be a safe area for children to learn instead
of fearing for their life. Instead of buying metal detectors and hiring more officers, there is a much
easier solution in order to decrease and prevent school shootings. We have to be more alert about
securing weapons at home and being aware of suspicious behavior at school in order to keep children
and faculty safe. As a child left for school one morning, his parents thought that he had been acting
very odd and different. Even with their suspicion, they said goodbye and let their son go to school.
It wasn t till later when they had noticed an empty spot in their gun case where a pistol and shotgun
used to sit. They rushed to the school and while searching through the halls for their son, their ears
echoed with a gunshot from one of the classrooms. Following the gunshot, they rushed into the
classroom and immediately disarmed and physically detained their son until police arrived. The only
damages the son had caused, was a plate sized hole in the ceiling. If the parents had gotten to the
school even one minute later, their son could have been labeled as a murderer.
It is sickening to know that a child was able to sneak past his parents, teachers, and students with two
firearms on his body. His parents were lucky they arrived when they did because many of people
could have been hurt or even worse murdered. Obviously, the child that brought the two firearms to
school should be the one punished, but what about the parents. The parents that did not have a weapon
that could easily end someone s life, properly locked up or hidden away. If parents are going to
carelessly leave firearms unlocked with ammo nearby, what is stopping a child from doing wrong with
that firearm? Leaving firearms unlocked with any aged child around, hoping they don t touch it is a
dangerous and irresponsible act.
When school shootings occur, the individual that brings the weapon to school should be the one
punished. However, when the parents irresponsibly leave a firearm unlocked they should face a
punishment as well. 68% of school

themselves to the progress and peace of developing countries two weeks later in a speech at the Cow

The Issue of Mass Illegal Immigration to the United States
Introduction America is deemed the land of the free and the home of the brave. The very fabric of this
great nation was built upon immigrants from the Pilgrims landing on Plymouth Rock to the millions of
immigrants landing at Ellis Island. America is known as a melting pot of many different cultures and
ethnic groups with roughly 11.7 million illegal immigrants living here. There has been a long standing
love/hate relationship with the issue of immigration. It has long been debated as to whether or not we
should continue to allow immigrant into our country so freely. Since the 1700 s the U.S. has been
working on and has implemented policies try to restrict and govern the immigrants entering this
country. Many immigrants come to America looking for a better way of life than what was destined
for them in their native lands. Prior to the events of 9/11, for nearly two decades, America welcomed
immigrations to our country with open arms. After 9/11, America s ideals begin to shift pertaining to
immigrants, our nation s safety, and border patrol. America was left with great fear, post 9/11, and
began to implement many changes in our border patrol and immigration laws. In response to record
numbers of illegal border crossings and the security fears triggered by the 9/11 attacks, over the past
two decades the United States has steadily increased its efforts to secure its borders against illegal
immigration. The number of U.S. Border Patrol agents has risen from fewer than

  • 3. Jeano Pucci Research Paper Emilio Pucci s real name was Marchese Emilio Pucci di Barsento, and he was born on November 20, 1914 in Naples, Italy to one of Florence s most respected families. Unlike other designers, Emilio was raised in comfort. In 1934 he became a skier, joining the Italian Olympic ski team, and started school earning his PhD in Political Science. Emilio got a skiing scholarship and attended the University of Georgia in 1935. He served several years as a pilot for the Italian Air Force, and returned to his home in Italy because of health issues that kept him from flying. The Pucci family lost most of their fortune in the war years. Skiing one day in St. Moritz, a reporter from Harper s Bazaar, Toni Frissel, saw Pucci on his skiwear. Pucci was the first in his family to hold a gainful employment in over a thousand years. Pucci began working closely with expert fabric manufacturers in Italy. He developed Capri pants, silk twill shirts with a masculine cut, open toed sandals and striped jersey tops, all in refreshingly vibrant colors that evoked the Capri s natural beauty. He made a name of himself because of the bold prints that he would use for his designs. Pucci is best known for his tight shantung Pucci Pants . His outfits could all be packed together in a single bag because they were wrinkle free. His designs featured sensual, free flowing lines that followed the natural curves of the body. • 4. World s Increasing Demand For Energy Essay World s increasing demand for energy is fulfilled by different sectors (like Oil, Coal, Natural Gas, Hydro, Nuclear and others). Fossil fuels remain the dominant source of energy powering the world economy, supplying 60% of the energy increase out to 2035. Within that, gas looks set to become the fastest growing fossil fuel, spurred on by ample supplies and supportive environmental policies. 1.1 BACKGROUND From the advert of the modern oil and gas industry, petroleum geologists and engineers have followed a conventional route for exploration; look for hydrocarbon source rocks, find reservoir quality rocks where hydrocarbons can accumulate, identify a trapping mechanism and then drill a well. But a revolution is taking place in the exploration and production (E P) industry. Rocks that in the past were of little interest, other than as potential source rocks, are today being actively pursued as potential reservoirs. When considering unconventional resource plays, the focus is on finding organic shale s. This development represents a fundamental shift in the way exploration companies consider resource plays. Engineers and geologists studying shale gas resources find that reservoir can lead to process adaptation and refinement of techniques. It is important to integrate data from many sources and at many scales to optimally drill, complete and stimulate wells to produce hydrocarbons from their source rocks. The two other type of existing unconventional gas resources are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Long Standing Effects On Children There are about three hundred million children that are subjected to violence, exploitation and abuse in orphanages (Kovacs Np.) Orphanages are supposed to be a haven for children to escape previous problems, but instead these institutions are homes of nightmares for children. For example, many children placed in orphanages are there to escape the abuse of families and loved ones, only to experience more abuse at the hands of the orphanage caregivers. In the United States, at least one third of children admitted to infant orphanages younger than 12 months of age died, primarily of gastrointestinal and respiratory illness, often complicated by malnutrition (Humphreyes 625 634). This is not a problem in America, there are thousands of cases like this in countries such as China, Russia, Romania, and Africa, these countries are prohibiting children their happiness. Children have all the odds against them. They are being abused and neglected. Many of them do not even get adopted. Furthermore, there have been studies that show the long standing effects of orphans in institutions after adoption. These institutions prevent child growth and development, most are inadequate for raising children, many children develop mental illnesses, and they do not give children the education they need to survive. For one thing, these institutions prevent child growth as well as development. Children adopted from China were smaller physically and were behind peers in development. They did not ... • 8. My Experience Of Teens It is truly astonishing how much we, as teens in the 21st century, take for granted. We go through our day, as if everything we do is a given right, rather than a privilege that we have. We don t ever stop to think about how so much, could be taken away from us in an instant. It was Monday, June 5th, 2017. I had just come back from an invitational hockey camp in Canada and I was up bright and early that morning so that I could go to Westridge and take my last two finals of the year. By the time I had gotten in the car, it was 7:20 in the morning, and I felt ready to take my finals. While in the car, my mom was listening to KBS radio station. I wasn t completely listening, but from what I could hear, the station was talking about a single engine plane crash in the Santa Rosa Valley that happened the other day. They were just mentioning how the two victims in the plane crash were identified just as I was getting out of the car. From there, I tried to clear my mind of everything and just reviewed the things that I knew. I walked onto campus with my face inside a binder and although I knew the material, I attempted to cram even more useless information into my brain. I stopped in front of my math classroom when I felt my phone ringing inside of my crossbody bag, against my hip. I grabbed my phone out of my bag to see that I already had 4 missed calls from one of my good friends, Miles Brodey. Assuming that Miles would be calling me with a purpose, I adjourned my terse review ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. Greedlessness In Washington Irving s The Legend Of Sleepy... Washington Irving wrote The Legend of Sleepy Hollow in 1820, which tells the story of Ichabod Crane, a schoolmaster who persistently frightens himself with supernatural beings he supposes he sees and hears on his way home from school. At one point in the story, Crane rivals for the love of a lady with a man named Abraham Van Brunt. This man, known as Brom Bones to the townspeople, took advantage of Ichabod Crane s credulousness to scare him out of town through a prank in which he impersonated the dreaded Headless Horseman, the ghost of Sleepy Hollow. This caused Ichabod to flee town out of terror. Ichabod Crane s characteristics of greed, superstition, and fearfulness ended up causing his downfall. Ichabod Crane s greediness hindered his relationship with the townspeople, consequently making some people, such as Brom Bones, more than happy to expel Crane from the town, and others not sorry when he left. That term is utilized loosely, but it seems fitting as I notice the significant changes in myself that I had only used to dream about obtaining. It s difficult to discuss these changes without sounding pompous or self righteous, but I ve come to find a great joy in reflecting on where I came from and where I stand today. I never expect to actually attend college let alone fall in love with a university that gave me more than just an education. My mother had grown very sick and I was too scared to think about moving away from her. The last five years were spent taking care of her and being there whenever she needed me. I felt like it was my job to stay. She, however, had a different plan. Being the most amazing woman that my mother is, she wouldn t take no for an answer. For that I am forever grateful. • 13. Drugs Are The Primary Use Of Treatment For Schizophrenic... Schizophrenia is a mental disorder characterized with severe, chronic, and potentially disabling thought disorder (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). Antipsychotic drugs are the primary use of treatment for schizophrenic disorders (Kane, 1987). Some of the common used psychotropic medications used to treat schizophrenia are: haloperidol, risperidone, aripiprazole, olanzapine, trifluoperazine, perphenazine, quetiapine, thioridazine, chlorpromazine, and clozapine. Antipsychotics like FGAs and SGAs are can be administered orally, in the form of a pill or liquid, or intravenously, by injections. Like with oral forms of antipsychotics, injections offer side effects too. These side effects vary but are very much alike to those of the matching drugs in oral form, though added mild or infrequent injection related side effects can occur such as: pain, skin thickening, and nodules (Haddad Fleischhacker, 2011). Antipsychotics administered by injection is one approach to managing nonadherence, although this approach does not work for all patients. Additionally, a proportion of patients who start on injections, later, do not continue with treatment. One study found more than half of patients who began risperidone (Risperdal) injections, stopped after 6 months of treatment (Taylor et al., 2004). With injections, patient nonadherence can be due to the personal characteristics, dosage range, initial startup, administration of the drug, and monitoring. The dosage range for each ... African Americans And Reconstruction Essay Throughout the duration of the Civil War in 1861 to the 1920s, African Americans made significant strides toward their advancement in America and toward equity with whites. This uncertainty sparked many debates regarding the most effectual way to go about receiving their inalienable rights as human beings, not merely substandard Negros as they were perceived to be. Such measures as the Black Codes and the KKK were implemented within the South to regulate the actions of African Americans as though they were in slavery but without the security of safety that comes with being considered property. Though chattel slavery had been abolished, the abruptness of its termination left several pertinent issues unresolved in relation to the status of African Americans. The terms of the war only required the southern states to remove the succession clause from their state constitutions. However, in spite of its connotation of brutality, the period of Reconstruction was also beneficial in some repute as it established public education for both blacks and whites. Powdered wigs graced royal heads during the (), and the elaborate hairstyles of the Victorian, Edwardian and the Gilded Age were artistic creations that were impossible without hair pieces. For every era there are elaborate techniques for adding hair where needed or desired and as styles repeat themselves, ancient hair weaving techniques have returned as today s hair extensions. Millions of women will spend time and money on chemical curls, permanent relaxers and dyes to hide age or draw attention. While these maneuvers change the hair s appearance, they do not change the one thing that many men watch for, the length. Ice means to ice the injured area for ten minutes and then ten minutes off several times, and repeat this pattern three times a day; these numbers may change depending on your doctor. Compression helps diminish swelling of the injured area. Keep the injured area firmly compressed with a wrap or compression band and make sure it is not too tight because this will restrict blood flow and slow the healing process. The tightness of the compress should limit expansion and not cause severe compression. The knee should be elevated at least twice a day. Raise the injured area above the heart. Furthermore, eschatology is best understood when it considers Good Friday, for without His death, Christians have no reason to hope for the renewal of creation. However, this renewal does not come without judgment, a prominent tension point when discussing eschatology. Thus, Moore Keish argues that in light of the Eucharist, this tension can be resolved. The Eucharist, she explains, serves as a reminder that the Judge is also the Redeemer , yet it is important to remember that judgment has already come when Jesus bears the sins of the world (122). For Christians, judgment is the past and future, and it motivates present actions that are honoring and God fearing. The doctrines of the Eucharist and eschatology are best understood in the context of each other, yet Moore Keish continues, arguing that the unification of the doctrines unites the body of believers. In partaking in the communal sacrament, believers get a taste of the eschatological feast of the Lamb when they will all be seated at the table of the King (116). Therefore, communion is more an act within community than a display of one s own salvation. The breaking of the bread and pouring of the wine is an act in which the disciples partook. Managers deal with decision making in every single day of their job. Therefore, they need to make ethical decisions which would benefit their organization. An ethical decision is the one which a reasonable or typical stakeholder would find acceptable because it aids stakeholders, the organization, or society. An unethical decision is one where a manager would have to hide from others because he rejects all ethics that apply in a certain situation in order for him or the organization to benefit at the expense of society or other stakeholders. When manager are trying to determine whether their decision is ethical or unethical, they should ask themselves a certain set of questions. First, a manager should ask themselves if their decision falls in the accepted values or standards that typically apply. Second, they should ask themselves if they are willing to share their decision with all the stakeholders affected by that decision. Finally, managers need to ask themselves if the people with whom they have a strong personal relationship would approve of their decision. (book). • 31. Social Security Tax Research Paper If you are like most people, than you would agree that a house near the coast, off the lake, the ability to go anywhere in world, or any other type of way to enjoy retirement is a goal that many Americans have. Do you know the tax that you are paying now that helps those who have reached that goal? It s Social Security tax; you should know this because it is the largest tax that comes out of your paycheck. That money taken out of your paycheck is not always being used appropriately when it goes to the government, but those who work in the government say that the money goes to the retired, unemployed, disabled, and the Medical care coverage for those who qualify. Actually, a lot of it is taken out and is used by the government to help fund their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When this happens those that depend on Social Security will be in danger of losing their place of living, could lose healthcare benefits, and much more that would change their lives. That is why I bring up the problem and try to convince ordinary people to help bring upon this change, because I care for the well being of those in the country, and I do not want to see anyone suffer from the mistakes of our government. If the community could raise awareness and need for change of the current system, than we can begin voting for those in office to get the process in the works. Out with old and in with the new. Looking past helping yourselves and generations to come, you could also help the government by asking for this change. For everyone to understand, $906 billion went towards Social Security a few years ago, so just imagine the temptation lifted from the government ( Privatizing Social Security ProCon.org. ). My final statement is that with privatization the money put into an account would be guaranteed unlike now with the government s reputation. There are already people who agree with this side, some 60% of currently working adults assume they will not receive Social Security benefits when they retire. ( Working in Retirement. ). You can be like them and join them to help get this change and spread the word. With all this being said I have to say that if the approach and application of this switch is done right then it can be one of the most successful decisions for the ... • 32. Pros And Cons Of School Shootings School shootings are terrifying and a big problem in today s society. Schools have added lockdown drills, bullet proof glass and metal detectors. School should be a safe area for children to learn instead of fearing for their life. Instead of buying metal detectors and hiring more officers, there is a much easier solution in order to decrease and prevent school shootings. We have to be more alert about securing weapons at home and being aware of suspicious behavior at school in order to keep children and faculty safe. As a child left for school one morning, his parents thought that he had been acting very odd and different. Even with their suspicion, they said goodbye and let their son go to school. It wasn t till later when they had noticed an empty spot in their gun case where a pistol and shotgun used to sit. They rushed to the school and while searching through the halls for their son, their ears echoed with a gunshot from one of the classrooms. Following the gunshot, they rushed into the classroom and immediately disarmed and physically detained their son until police arrived. The only damages the son had caused, was a plate sized hole in the ceiling. If the parents had gotten to the school even one minute later, their son could have been labeled as a murderer. It is sickening to know that a child was able to sneak past his parents, teachers, and students with two firearms on his body. His parents were lucky they arrived when they did because many of people could have been hurt or even worse murdered. Obviously, the child that brought the two firearms to school should be the one punished, but what about the parents. The parents that did not have a weapon that could easily end someone s life, properly locked up or hidden away. If parents are going to carelessly leave firearms unlocked with ammo nearby, what is stopping a child from doing wrong with that firearm? Leaving firearms unlocked with any aged child around, hoping they don t touch it is a dangerous and irresponsible act. When school shootings occur, the individual that brings the weapon to school should be the one punished. However, when the parents irresponsibly leave a firearm unlocked they should face a punishment as well. 68% of school ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 35. The Issue of Mass Illegal Immigration to the United States Introduction America is deemed the land of the free and the home of the brave. The very fabric of this great nation was built upon immigrants from the Pilgrims landing on Plymouth Rock to the millions of immigrants landing at Ellis Island. America is known as a melting pot of many different cultures and ethnic groups with roughly 11.7 million illegal immigrants living here. There has been a long standing love/hate relationship with the issue of immigration. It has long been debated as to whether or not we should continue to allow immigrant into our country so freely. Since the 1700 s the U.S. has been working on and has implemented policies try to restrict and govern the immigrants entering this country. Many immigrants come to America looking for a better way of life than what was destined for them in their native lands. Prior to the events of 9/11, for nearly two decades, America welcomed immigrations to our country with open arms. After 9/11, America s ideals begin to shift pertaining to immigrants, our nation s safety, and border patrol. America was left with great fear, post 9/11, and began to implement many changes in our border patrol and immigration laws. In response to record numbers of illegal border crossings and the security fears triggered by the 9/11 attacks, over the past two decades the United States has steadily increased its efforts to secure its borders against illegal immigration.
