Evaluation Of Information From The Wider Marketing...
Environmental audit Environmental audit, which is the systematic collection and evaluation of
information from the wider marketing environment which might affect the organisation and its
strategic marketing activities, is undertaken by marketing planners (pg. 333, Marketing Planning 2007
2008, Karen Beamish, Ruth Ashford). It is undertaken on a daily basis as it is considered to be very
important for reputation management and public relations. Marketers should be aware of the changes
in environment that could potentially bring impact on factors like customers, competitors, suppliers
and markets. Although, the organisations are unable to control the players of the environment,

The company could damage its image in market if any delay occurs due to political unrest in these
parts of the world. Economical: After the world was hit by recession in late 00, it is gradually
improving its economic stability. Oil prices have hit record high in past years causing inflation in
world s economy. Under such conditions, consumer s purchasing power has reduced; as such they are
not willing to spend money on electronic goods. Growth of unemployment rate in USA and Europe is
a growing concern in recent years. Also currency exchange rate is really fluctuating in the course of
recession, especially rate of dollar against euro and pound. According to the financial times, it is
expected that US economy will take longer to recover from recession than any other countries in the
world, resulting the loss in the value of US dollar. Social: Health safety and environmental protection
have come up as major issues in today s society in where Apple runs its business. Today electronic
industry would require further more certification and testing, resulting in the increase in the cost, in
order to reduce the impact of high tech trash on the environment. A number of rules to safely dispose
the electronic goods have been implemented in several countries where Apple operates its business
which may adversely affect the financial condition of the company. Particularly, European Union
adopts this regulation, where Apple shares a big

Counsel For The Accused Criminal Essay
Introduction: My practicum for the year is downtown Seattle, at the Associated Counsel for the
Accused (ACA). Note: There is also an ACA location in Kent, Washington as well. The ACA, like
many other public defender units, is one of the four division in the department of Public Defense. The
Department of Public Defense, assigns counsel to those who need an attorney. This is screened by the
type of crime, the age of the accused criminal, and etc. Once a client is assigned to one of the
divisions, that division must then decide who will individually represent that client. The main purpose
of the ACA is too provide defense to those who are charged with a crime, and cannot afford someone
to defend them. The ACA is filled with attorneys who work with different populations of people.
These populations include juveniles, drug court, dependency youth, and many more. The public
defenders in this agency work closely with social workers to maintain necessary info, in order to
provide the right amount of support, and background to those they are defending. Having this report
from social workers can help the defender decide the best way to represent their client. Structure:
Some public defenders utilize the social workers more than others. For example, there is one senior
attorney per division in the building. I work with the juvenile division at the ACA. The role of the
senor attorney here is to manage the social workers and the attorneys underneath her. She usually

Guernica Comparison
The painting Guernica, by Pablo Picasso, and the painting Executions of the Third of May, by
Francisco de Goya, were are both centered around the same general theme. There are several
similarities between the two pieces regarding content and meaning. In addition to the similarities of
these two pieces, there are also some differences regarding the artists, the creation process of the
pieces, and the technical aspects that make up the paintings. Similarities and differences can be
identified in these two pieces by analyzing the historical, political, social, cultural, religious, stylistic,
and technical aspects of both the form and content of the two works of art. In 1937, Pablo Picasso

inhabitants of Guernica. On April 28, 1937, the German Nazis air bombed the town of Guernica,
which is the old Basque capital in Spain. As a result, the civilians of Guernica were left with a

working in Paris and was commissioned by his government to paint a mural for the Spanish Pavilion
of the Paris World s Fair. Guernica was completed in a short time following the bombing of Guernica.
Picasso did not allow Guernica to be displayed in Spain while General Franco was in power, which
led to the portrayal of the painting at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. After General Franco
was stripped of his power, the painting made its way back to Spain to be displayed in Madrid, the

The Heart Of The Blake Poem Analysis
Blake uses rhetorical questions asked by the narrator while Shelley has Victor expect immediate
answers to his questions. Blake has the narrator utilize rhetorical questions to prove that the godlike
figure does not require concrete answers, but prefers to live in awe and wonderment. On the contrary,
Victor s desire for knowledge and need for answers exemplifies that of a god, eventually leading him
and his creation to lead a miserable life due to Victor attempting to assume a godlike position, and
therefore, defying Romanticism. Throughout his poem, the narrator asks thirteen questions. The topic
of the questions do not center around the narrator himself, but about the Tyger and the creator. With
Did he smile his work to see? (Blake l. 19) and Did he who made the Lamb make thee? (Blake l. 20),
the speaker shows genuine curiosity and respect for the creator. Similarly, the speaker also inquires
about the Tyger by stating What the hand, dare seize the fire? (Blake l. 8), Could twist the sinews of
thy heart? (Blake l. 6), and What dread hand? what dread feet? (Blake l. 12). Consistent with this
curiosity, questioning also appears in the last line at the beginning and ending stanza. Having the
similar questions Could frame thy fearful symmetry? (Blake l. 4) and Dare frame thy fearful
symmetry? (Blake l. 24) introduce and conclude the poem, the narrator is portrayed as invested in
others than himself. Thus, the narrator is portrayed as a godlike figure due to

School Dress Code
Do you like your school dress code? A dress code is a set of rules specifying the garb or type of
clothing to be worn by a group or by people under specific circumstances. a military dress code. The
restaurant s dress code requires men to wear jackets and ties at dinner. The first school dress code law
was established in 1969 by the U.S. Supreme Court. The case, known as Tinker vs. Des Moines
Independent School District, involved several high school students who wore black armbands to
school in a planned protest against the Vietnam War.
Since 1969 schools all over the United States have a dress code. Dress code is used in many

The major reason why dressing in proper business attire is important for every business professional is
because it presents a visual image and sends a message that the employees are professional. The
importance of a dress code for professionalism varies somewhat by industry. A formal or white tie
dress code typically means tailcoats for men and full length evening dresses for women. Business
Dress codes typically means not wearing neckties or suits, but wearing instead collared shirts, and
more country trousers. A dress code for a school circumstance is important to have because it helps
keep students safe, but the having a dress code in school really targets girls a lot more then boys.
According to CNN
Families are concerned that dress code enforcement tends to result in body shaming.
Even though we have a dress code, most people don t follow it. Most schools are onto people about
dress code, but other circumstances have a dress code however people don t follow it. If you don t

A separate peace essay
In a separate peace, by John Knowles, Gene Forrester is the protagonist. He is a 17 year old boy who
goes to devon boarding school, and is friends with Finny. Finny is a kind, athletic, and naive student
who s best friend is Gene. These two friends seem to love each other, but most of the time are hiding a
secret jealousy and hatred for one another. Gene said, my war ended ended before I even put on a
uniform; I was on active duty all my time at school; I killed my enemy there.(Pg. 110) In an essay
about a separate peace, the author said, in relation to the prior quote, One of the things the novelist
seems to be saying is that the enemy Gene killed, and loved, is the one every man must kill; his own
youth, the innocence that burns too hotly to be endured. The writer of this essay is referring to a
different enemy innocence then Gene, and although his example is plausible, it isn t the same as what
Gene was referring to. Gene was referring to his enemy that he pretends to be friends with, Finny. This
can be supported by Gene and Finny s love/hate relationship, The competitiveness that Gene and
Finny had between each other, and how Gene was part of the reason that Finny died at the end of the
novel. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Gene was not referring to the killing of his own youth during his time at Devon boarding school, but
the war between Gene and Finny. The war that had been going on the whole time they were at Devon.
This war was more emotional and psychological than physical, and was a result of Gene and Finny s
tendency to be very competitive and jealous of one another. An example of this would be when Gene
suspected Finny of trying to compete with him for class valedictorian, which Finny shrugged

Jazmin Is Important To Life
Jazmin has to be one of the craziest people i know. She is so quiet at school or anywhere where her
friends are but when shes at home im either dating the jazmin that is super outgoing or the jazmin that
wants to sleep. Like just last week she came over at around noon and she was yelling and running
around and about an hour later my dad called me and my brother to do work for at least an hour of
hauling bags of broken cement out of a tunnel that goes under my house and when I was done she was
dead asleep on the couch. I admire her craziness because most people are bland and normal and

We thought that we had done all the things you possibly can in a house but jazmin somehow finds
something new to do! This is important to life because it shows that even when you think theres
nothing left to do, there will always just be one more thing. She is also always so excited, whether it is
to go explore new places or to receive a present. i admire this because she taught me to be excited
about the little things, the things that don t necessarily impact your life amazingly but seem like they
do. Kind of like getting called pretty or being told you look good today. This is improtant in if ebcause
sometimes you may not get the biggest and the best prize but sometimes its not what you want,
sometimes all that you want is to see someone you love smile or to recieve simply a piece of candy.
Jazmin is a very very smart person. Not only is she smart but she is intelligant. Im not saying shes the
smartest person ever but she definatley has some talent. She actually got asked to go to italy over the
summer to go to school there. She was seriously contemplating it before she realized she had to
actually go to school. Like homework, tests finals all the high school nightmares, in a lagage she didnt

On average Japan is severely hit with three typhoons a year. In The Seventh Man the main character
the seventh man was ten years old and living in a seaside town in Japan. The seventh man lost his nine
year old best friend to one of these typhoons. He was there and watched as his best friend K. was
carried away by a wave. The death of K. was not the seventh man s fault therefore he should not have
survivor guilt. The seventh man was only ten years old when it happened, he would nt have been able
to save K. no matter how hard he tried. K. walked out of his house when he saw the seventh man
walking down the road while their town was in the midst of a typhoon, they walked down to the beach
together and K. was caught up looking at something on the beach. The seventh man told K. that he
needed to move because it was not safe, but K. was not paying attention to the wave coming up behind
him. The seventh man ran away from K. yelling. Then the wave came. The seventh man barely had

Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme Comparison
When one thinks of the 17th century theatre, one might imagine low quality plays, maybe with

However, when imagining twenty first century films an individual often invisions high graphics,HD,3

The epic of Gilgamesh tells a story about a half human half god man searching for life answers. It
highlights the basic of human nature, human fears, desires, and needs. The main character Gilgamesh
has these characteristics of humankind with intense strength and the position of power from his god
like background. The first thing the audience learns from the story is that Gilgamesh builds protective
walls around the city, a great gift to his society. When the audience next learns that the king has been
abusive to the young men of the city and has deflowered young maidens, their disapproval of these
acts is tempered by their initial approval of his great accomplishment. Overall, the early portions of

negative events in my life, and key transitions that changed my life in a negative way, and finally I

the strain off the older and greatly overcrowded institutions... since it enabled us to move the smaller,
closely guarded escape artists, the big time racketeers... and those who needed protection from other
groups...
Now that you know the kind of prisoners that were sent to Alcatraz,
II. I will discuss life on the island and as an inmate in the prison.
A. Each prisoner received a copy of the Rules and Regulations for the Government... Correctional
Institutions as well as a copy of the warden s special rules that explained the daily routine of work and
counts. The inmates were awakened at 6:30am to begin their day. They were required to clean up
themselves and their cell and required to shave three times a week.
B. Alcatraz was to be operated on the principle of very limited privileges to inmates. The privilege of
visitors had to be earned, and mail privileges were limited. They each held jobs within the prison in
the tailor shop, laundry, cobblers shop, model shop, gardening, or help with the food prep in the mess
hall.
C. Contrary to what the movies portray, there were no experiments made on the prisoners, and the
inmates that were transferred there were already twisted and disturbed; Alcatraz didn t turn them into
monsters. There was however, a dungeon that prisoners were locked in if they misbehaved, and they
also had a rule of silence, where they could not

Social Media Has Become An Essential Part Of Our Lives
In today s society social media has become an essential part of our lives. We check our accounts every
chance we get regardless of where we are at. Everyone is a victim of social media as it is not only part
of the American culture but is also seen worldwide. One big component that makes social media into
the giant it is today are viral videos. New viral videos often come up on a daily basis especially on
platforms such as twitter in which they cover a range of topics such as a funny target ad to a kid on the

In today s society this media becomes viral at its full effect on social media platforms, most
specifically twitter and facebook as with one post or retweet can cause a chain reaction to even further
distribute the content to expand the audience. Virality is often achieved due to its power to evoke
emotions in a visceral way as well as tell us whole stories in a fraction of the time reading text would
take. ( The Social Media Wildfire. ) The concept of viral media is not subjected to only a certain group
of people but is rather extended to others even if they are not on social media as in many cases videos
that have made it onto international news channels. What makes viral videos viral does not exclude
anyone but is rather meant for a large audience due to it being known for breaking down cultural
barriers by allowing people all over the world to witness significant or interesting events for
themselves. ( The Social Media Wildfire,. 2015) With this viral media revolution, many people see it
as a chance to change their lives, socially, but viral fame is most notably connected to a new financials
status as well. By seeing other people go viral it would start this belief that by going viral, you have
made it, which creates this sense of achievement in regards to their social life. There have been plenty
of good and bad examples of this but one that stands

1939 Dbq Adolf Hitler
In 1939 the world plunged into a state of depression and war, each country turning on one another.
Diplomatic factors, Hitler s thirst for power, and the political and financial stand point are arrows that
point directly to a future of destruction and war, all with the failure of appeasement. Collective
security worked as a buffer between conflicts, and was the best response toward aggression. The
weakening League of Nations failed to keep collective security intact from any wars. Hitler s
leadership threatened the peace in Europe which caused Germany to stir up war around the world. The

Pros And Cons Of Predatory Pricing
There are several interesting topics professor Aggarwal discussed in Econ 140, the two topics I found
most interesting were predatory pricing and vertical integration. Predatory pricing is a method used by
firms to lessen competition by essentially eliminating them out of the market. It is the act of charging
a price below the firm s own marginal cost in order to drive out a rival out of the market. Once the
firm successfully drives the rival out of the market it is free to increase its price and charge its desired
price. Predatory pricing is only optimal when the firm s present value of the future profits is greater
than the loss profits needed to drive out competitors. The predator must have the sufficient amount of
financial resources to participate in such an act, so it can outlast the prey, the competitor. The two
firms therefore compete in a price war which is beneficial to the consumer during the price war,
however when the predator wins it will essentially have a monopoly and drive up prices far more than
usual. Predatory pricing is an illegal act, however it is difficult to prove due to the fact that it can be
portrayed as price competition and not a deliberate act. It is not illegal for a firm to lower its pricing as
it could be seen as a competitive action. The Federal Trade Commission carefully examines claims of
predatory pricing for this reason because it is legitimate business practice. Strict enforcement of rules
against predatory pricing could lead to firms

Odd Couples By Anna Muraco
In Odd Couples, Anna Muraco interviews intersectional friendships between gay men and straight
women as well as straight men and lesbian women. The author is an Assistant Professor of Sociology
at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Muraco is careful to incorporate gender, sexual
preferences, and age each time she mentions interviewees. Most of the intersectional friendships
involve a gay man and straight woman; however, she makes a great effort to interview friendships
between a straight man and lesbian woman, though sometimes these friendships may be difficult to
find. The author aims to challenge two large assumptions. The first assumption she confronts is that
men and women are fundamentally different. The second assumption is ... Show more content on

She then identifies the importance of friendships in general and how these bonds are formed. There is
discussion of same sex, heterosexual friendships and same sex, same orientation friendships. These
topics were the precursor of delving into the discussion of intersectional friendships and how Muraco
conducted this study. According to the author, intersectional friendships challenge a variety of social
norms. Previous research shows that straight people who are in contact with gay men and lesbians
have a favorable attitude towards them; this favorable attitude is meant as in acceptance, not tolerance.
Furthermore, most of the dyad friendships interviewed were very close friends, if not best friends. In
multiple cases, the gay man was often incorporated into the straight woman s family. The straight
women offer to be a surrogate mother before they themselves are married and trying for children of
her own. On the contrary, Muraco further explains the stereotype that all gay couples want children.
Another way that these friendships are beneficial to the individual is that they provide great financial
support for each other, which is usually a familial function. The media tends to depict these
intersectional friendships generally as gay men and straight women that are the best of friends who go
shopping and clubbing together. Though this gender norm was common within the study, there are still
other friendships that are regularly overlooked. The

Gentrification of Housing Stress
As gentrification of housing stress continues, Local Government Areas (LGA) will lose lower income
groups and assimilate into a predominance of higher income groups, effectively homogenizing the
population and decreasing diversity. This trend will drive the housing market price up, decrease
housing affordability and deter outsiders into joining the community. The existing housing units will
experience financial hardships, housing stress, and a gradual deprivation of a means to cope with
increasing basic living costs. In order to combat this ongoing issue, speculative approaches by the City
have been in consideration.¬¬¬¬
The aim of the City of Sydney Affordable Rental Housing State Environmental Planning Policy

housing in the City of Sydney to provide for social, cultural, environmental and economic
sustainability. The key of this strategy is to increase the amount of affordable rental housing in the
local area to very low, low and moderate income households; protect existing stock of low cost rental
accommodation; encourage a diverse range of housing in the local area; and work with other inner
Sydney councils to address affordable rental housing at a regional level. According to the SEPP,
affordable housing is refers to housing that does not take more than 30% of a very low, low or

Capitalism means that, well any and every businesses and market forces with supply and demand
determine what goods are available in their markets and what the prices they want those goods to be

As is known to all, people always have different views on one issue because of the different
understanding of objective things and personal experience. And that maybe why there is a great
number of conflicts in this world. People always have a stereotype view of the people who has a
different view with them, and things are even worse when someone is the only one person that has a
different view. A good argument does not mean being the only one who is right, but by providing a
valid explanation. Providing a valid argument is necessary and providing a logical and reasonable
proof to support argument is more persuasive. However, the personalities also play an important role
in the process of the argument because they affect the ways of thinking ... Show more content on

Juror 4 is an educated and logical man because all of his arguments are based on the facts and
evidence. He also notices some details that other jurors ignored at the beginning. He illustrates that the
murder weapon, which is an unusual carved handle and blade knife is a strong evidence that proves
the boy is the suspect because the knife is so unique and the shop owner also confirms that the knife
the boy has is the only one in stock. And it is not possible that the knife just fell out from the boy s
pocket and someone picked it up and stabbing the victim or someone else use the exactly same knife
to kill boy s father because it is a not possible coincidence. Other jurors don t accept an incredible
coincidence like this as well. After listening to Juror 4 s argument, however, Davis presents his own
argument, which is the coincidence is possible. But Juror 3 stands out and rejects Davis s argument
that he doesn t think it is possible. At this point, Davis shows other jurors a very similar knife just like
the boy s. Davis points out his evidence to confirm his argument is correct, which is it is possible that
someone stabbed a very similar knife and killed the father, because Davis bought this knife in a shop
that is two blocks from the boy s house. That shows if Davis does, anyone else could buy an exactly
same knife. After Davis explains his argument, even though majority of the jurors still are not
convinced by his argument, Juror 2 begins to question the murder weapon because he thinks this is an
interesting point to consider about and Juror 11 says the knife was important to the district attorney,
which shows that Davis s argument attracted some

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Steganographic File System...
Although database forensic lie in its generalization which should be applicable for all types of

In the paper Steganographic Schemes for File System and B Tree [3], they have introduced StegFD, a
practical scheme to implement a steganographic file system in which a plausible deniability to owners
of protected files is offered. StegFD hides the selected files in a file system securely in such a way
that, an attacker will not be able to trace their existence, even if the attacker has full knowledge of the

described which arises when the storage system is untrusted and is shared by multiple users. In such
cases, the attacker could obtain multiple snapshots of the storage content and analyze them to deduce
the existence of secret user data. To solve this problem, they have introduced a Dummy Relocatable

Cameron Case
Was Cameron occupying the car as defined by Mr. Frye s automobile insurance policy by placing the
car on a jack and running it backwards by placing a concrete block on the gas pedal if he continued to
monitor the vehicle, kicked it repeatedly and leaned on it? Did Cameron intentionally damage the
vehicle when continuously kicking it and leaning on it? Almost certainly. A person is occupying a
vehicle as long as they have a continuing relationship with the vehicle after having physical contact,
and are within proximity of vehicle. Occupancy of a vehicle does not have to be related to
transportation. Cameron was engaged in rolling back the odometer, kicked the vehicle repeatedly, and

The Haudenosaunee had a complex political system. It had four levels, the first one being kinship and
residence. Basically the family, lineage and clan. The second was that of the town which was
governed independently. The third was a combination of towns that formed a Nation. The last one was
that all Nations joined the larger League. The League was divided into two halves, they followed the
Great Law of Peace constitution and consisted of 50 sachem (a named office) positions.
The primary social unit was the matrilineage. Power descended from the mother s side. Related
nuclear families lived together and led by the eldest female. Women owned land and controlled the
distribution of resources. They also had a class system and the upper class was made up of lineages,
chiefs and clan elders. The lower class were slaves and captives. The middle class were in between.
Division of labor was determined by sex. Men hinted, fished and conducted war and women collected

Summary
The Psychology, Theology, and Spirituality in Christian Counseling is the thought provoking book of

practitioners of Christian counseling. This book reveals that how the three perspectives of psychology,

The book beautifully entails that the counselor must observe his client deeply to depict that when he
would be able to respond appropriately towards a specific approach. McMinn s ideas about prayer
really strike the heart that without God s assistance one cannot proceed towards emotional stability.
The book presents an excellent guidance to Christian counselors about appropriate approach towards
displaying spirituality in their exposures with their client to ensure a finest blend of spirituality,
theology and psychology. The intriguing idea coined by McMinn has direct applicability to counseling
that a counselor would be able to amalgamate spirituality and psychology only if his own life is rich in
spiritual attributes.
Apart from the positive features of the book, a few things have gone unanswered in book as Lord, the
greatest spiritual counselor, has remained out of the narration when it came to the self determination
that when and how to integrate prayer, scripture or call for forgiveness. The impact of book would
have doubled if there was much reference to the spiritual work.
Another question striking the mind is that would same counseling approach would be appropriate for
every age group particularly the teenagers? McMinn (1996) has not revealed that how to tackle the
teens in the prescribed perspective of spirituality because they are the most difficult group to counsel
especially when it comes to

The Orlando Gay Nightclub Shooting Essay
Twenty four year old Daniel Zamudio was walking through a park in Santiago, Chile, when four men
appeared and began to burn Daniel with cigarettes and beat him with rocks and glass bottles, injuring
him in various ways (Saul). The men used the broken glass to cut off a part of his ear, as well as, cut
swastikas into his skin because Zumudio was gay (Saul). Less than a month later, Daniel Zamudio
passed away due to this violent hate crime (Saul). Although only few instances of homophobic crimes
are reported, FBI statistics show that attacks on the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual,
queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, ally, and pansexual (LGBT+) community, such as the Orlando
gay nightclub shooting, are one of the common occurrences, right behind racial attacks (Saul). LGBT
people have made outstanding progress on their goal to reach equality. For example, same sex couples
now have the right to adopt children in all the states of America and thanks to President Obama,
federal workers cannot be discriminated upon sexual orientation or gender identity (Clinton).
Although the LGBT+ community has civil rights that should be protected, due to society s narrow
mindedness, the LGBT+ community gets treated as second class citizens.
Education is an important factor in life in order to thrive, but LGBT students face harassment in
school due to their identity. According to a Human Rights report conducted in 2001, two million

Google defines itself as a non conventional company which intentionally avoids the traditional
management models. Google has been managed differently in an atmosphere of creativity and
challenge. That said by Eric Schmidt, CEO, who also affirms that the business is driven according
what Peter Drucker understood as a way to manage the knowledge workers in 1959. The idea was first
described in his book The Landmarks of Tomorrow .
We know now that the source of wealth is something specifically human: knowledge. If we apply

By principle number 7 Strive to reach consensus ; Google stick on the view that the many are smarter
than the few and solicit a broad base of views before reaching any decision. The role of the manager is
that of an aggregator of viewpoints, not the dictator of decisions.
Principle number 8 is also the corporate slogan: Don t be evil . Schmidt, co founder and CEO says that
the company really tries to live by it, particularly in the ranks of management. Google fosters to create
an atmosphere of tolerance and respect, not a company full of yes men.
Google faces the challenge of evolving management techniques as the company grows. As decision
making pervades all managerial actions and is a continuous process, Google practices characterize the
strategic decision making process of the company. In this new model, the decision making process is
guided by a powerful coalition acting as a team and also permits decisions to evolve through trial and
error and incremental steps as needed, as Daft mentions (2007, p.299). Daft also affirms that this new
process relies less on hard data as a basis of good decisions. This statement differs from what Goggle
practices as mentioned on principle 9.
The 9th principle applies the company knowledge to support decision making: Data drive decisions .
At Google, almost every decision is based on quantitative analysis. Google uses its systems to manage

Community Observation Report
Community service is services volunteered by individuals or an organization to benefit a community
or its institutions. My favorite community service job that I completed was located at The Junior
Achievement at the Atlanta Discovery Center. The objective of this service was to teach children how
to survive and succeed in the world economically through the use of time, talent, cooperation, and
education. Before they came to the center students were trained by their teachers to budget money and
to spend it wisely. So when they finally arrived, a real life model was presented to them. With the
compelling volunteer and student interaction, we helped each student understand the theory to life and
also understand the differences between needs and wants. The building was set up with different mini
department stores like Chick fil A, Publix, philanthropy shop, SunTrust bank, home/apartment
agencies, automobile shop, Belk, Kaiser Permanente, and AT T. These shops were to help the students
understand manage the differences between what they really need and what they really want. In
addition, the goal was to also help build character and skills to make it in the fast moving real world.
Before the volunteer work began the director of the center sat us in the room and trained us, with the
use of a PowerPoint on the tasks that we would be performing. First, she assigned us a store, and some
people had to share stores because some jobs involved printing. I was assigned the

Avoidance results in resolution being delayed rather than resolving the issue in a timely manner
(Eason Brown, 1999). The ill feelings between PCTs and nurses were created by avoiding talking
about the problem for a long time. Avoidance resulted in a snowball effect of increasing resentment
and anger between the two groups.
Conflict Transformational Theory Solving conflict using the transformational theory is beneficial.
According to Chinn (2008), using the conflict transformation theory, the conflict transformation is
used before there is a conflict. Any rising issue is addressed in a constructive way, paying attention to
possible lessons learned (Chinn, 2008). Using the transformational theory would have prevented the
bad feelings towards each other. It is not one person s responsibility to try to resolve a conflict (Chinn,
2008). If transformational theory were used in the described situation, the problem would have been
addressed much earlier. Management would have called for a meeting where everybody would have
had a chance to voice their problem according to the transformational steps and theory described
below. As a disagreement arises, the group follows specific steps to come to a solution. Chinn (2008),

The River Bank At My Uncle s Camp
When I was young, I used to refrain from going down to the river bank at my uncle s camp. I hated it
because I was always afraid that I would fall. It was steep and so much higher than the river it
surrounded. As a child, I never stopped to wonder why the land was so much higher than the water.
Looking back now, it seems very simple. The water shaped the land. Although I experienced this on a
very small level, we see it on an enormous scale every day. Throughout Michigan and even throughout
the entire world, water has created the land shapes that we are used to. Without water, we would not
have the unique land structures that exist today. I was born and raised right here in the beautiful state
of Michigan. Michigan is a unique place because it is two separate peninsulas connected by a bridge
and separated by the Mackinac Straits. In short, us Michigan natives have grown up surrounded by
water. Michigan has about 58,000 sq. miles of land and 38,000 miles of water. The majority of the
water that makes up Michigan is formed from the Great Lakes: No point in Michigan is more than 6
miles away from one of the Great Lakes. It is clear that water is a big part of the composition of this
state. Since water is such a big part of Michigan, I find myself very curious about what it is and what
it does. The first thing you need to know when you are researching water history is the water cycle.
The water cycle is an infinite circle in which water evaporates, is carried

Descriptive Essay On A Horse
Ever since I was a child I knew that I wanted to work with animals. Horses, in particular, have always
fascinated me. After much begging, pleading, years of convincing, and always working hard to save
up money, I convinced my parents to allow me to buy a horse. To me, Indie was the most beautiful
quarter horse I could have ever dreamed of getting. Since our purchase of Indie, we have acquired
another horse, Sherman, and a pony, Tucker. Although the horses have always been hard work, they
were worth every sweaty hot summer evening of mucking out the stalls and frigid winter mornings of
carrying water to the trough in order to avoid freezing our hoses. After all, I used to dream of being a
veterinarian and helping all kinds of animals in some way.
When I learned how to heal my horse s hoof a couple of years ago, the vision of being a vet was
reaffirmed. It was a hot summer day when my dad and I were working around the barn. Like any other
day as we worked we would check on how the horses were doing, this included grooming them and
cleaning their hooves. We noticed one of our horses, Indie, moseying over with a limp and not putting
weight on one hoof. I immediately was worried, thinking that he might have a serious injury.
Let s lift up his hoof and check out what he got into, suggested my dad. (How Indie s hoof looked) It
became apparent that there was an infection and a veterinarian needed to be called. This was the first

may be through tubes resting on the nose, a face mask, or a tube placed in the trachea. Patients who
have low blood oxygen levels may feel short of air, tired or confused, and can harm your body.
Because oxygen therapy can be administered for short or long periods of time, it can be used in

Smoking in homes where oxygen is used is not allowed. Candles, matches, wood stoves and even
sparkling toys should not be used, as they may be sources of ignition. Oxygen cylinders should be
kept at least five feet from a source of heat, open flames, or electrical devices. Because body oil, hand
lotion and items containing oil and grease can light easily, they should be kept away where the oxygen

Doctors who prescribe medical oxygen should take into account potential hazards when used in the

Patients or caregivers should receive basic training in the use of oxygen equipment in the home and
how to handle simple problems, preferably with the available reference material. Appropriate signage
should also be provided to alert health professionals and emergency services that oxygen therapy
equipment is on

To start off, communication between the soldiers and their loved ones was closely being monitored
during the war. According to the book, those who were left behind was carefully managed (Grayzel

are treating them while in combat. Because of all the negative things he talked about in his letter
during his time at war the letter was never sent out. Back at home during this time, the countries were

Colorism And Racism
Racism is prominent in the United States. Growing up in my small, predominately white town I did
not recognize it. I had difficulty comprehending what racism is. As I have grown and developed my
understanding of the many identities I hold, I have come to realize racism is the systematic oppression
of people of color rooted in discrimination through the historical power, privilege given to the
dominate identity. With this definition of racism, I can recall many occurrences in my childhood
where I faced both direct and indirect racism. For me a prominent and constant sense of racism comes
from the beauty industry regarding colorism. Colorism is the discrimination based on skin color. The
dominate color or White is considered more desirable and better than darker colors. For me, colorism
came from both folks of my own race and those of the dominate identity. Being raised within the
South Asian community I encountered a strong sense of colorism through beauty standards. Lighter
skin tone was considered better than darker skin tone. This is evident through the large skin whitening
industry within South Asian community. Colorism extremely influenced me. I saw all my favorite
Bollywood actresses having light complexions. I watched ads for skin whitening products showing
lighter skin tone being related to confidence, attractiveness, and happiness. I didn t admittedly talk

culture. In my opinion I can understand why many would oppose of multiculturalism, especially when
it relates to education. One story can be told in so many ways by different cultures, for example, with
Christopher Columbus. Growing up I learned that Columbus was a person of renaissance whose vision
and daring changed history in a positive way. I remember learning about him and how he had his own
calendar day. For others, he was a perpetrator of Native American genocide, and his voyage opened
the door for black slavery. Today the debate in education is what is the right history to teach students,
with so many different ethnic, racial or cultural it s hard to make the right choice for students. In all I
think multiculturalism can be both good and bad, but mostly good if we can respect cultural

Cultural Culture In Kuwait
Introduction
The term culture is one of those words that we use routinely, but what is it exactly? Basically, culture
is the multipart overall of a society which includes everything that gives a society an identity. Culture
may consist of customs, languages, and religion beliefs amid other characteristics that are ordinary to
people of a nation/region. What is predominantly interesting about cultures is that each culture, no
matter where it is located, shares at least five basic characteristics. However, every culture has its own
distinct characteristics that differentiate it from the others. One of such cultures is the Kuwait culture.
This culture awareness essay will attempt to emphasis on cultural aspects of the people of Kuwait
while drawing your attention to the social culture annalists of Kuwait nation/region s physical
geography, current and passed military conflicts and their impact on the society, weather, and civil
concern.
The Kuwaiti culture is dominant in Kuwait where the people originate. They were primary drawn to
the Kuwait Bay region because of the resources from the sea, and majority of the population still lives
within a short distance of the first coastal colonies. Kuwait exists in the middle east which borders the
Persian Gulf, sandwiched between Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Kuwait have a unique culture since the
country was never colonized. Kuwaitis therefore have been left to manage their affairs among
themselves as they see if and develop their unique

Centrally Planned Economy Essay
Discuss the extent to which a country moving from a centrally planned economy to a more market
driven economy is in the interest of both consumers and producers .
A transitional economy is an economy which has previously had a centrally planned economic system
of resource allocation and is now allowing market forces, such as demand, supply, price and free
enterprise to operate in at least parts of the economy. A centrally planned economy, that is also called
command economy, is an economic system in where the country s government operates production
facilities. Free market economy is an economic system where prices and wages are set by unrestricted
competition between businesses, without government regulation or fear of monopolies. Countries like:
Poland, Vietnam, Albania, Czech Republic, China and most of CIS countries that used to be a part of
communism area can be taken as an example of countries that have moved from centrally planned
economy to a more market driven economy.
This essay is going to focus mainly on China, where both consumers and producers gain some benefits
from a transitional economy. China s transition from central planning has assumed a trajectory quite
different from that of Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union. The idea of this transition is that prices
will regulate themselves. Supply and demand will reach the point of equilibrium where the most
money will be made. However, what is good for businesses not always good for customers. The main

Taking a Look at Marketing Strategies
It is defined as paid form of non personal communication about an organisation, service, product, or
idea by an identified sponsor. Public service announcement, which has an sporadic exception whose
advertising space or time is provided by media. Advertisement involves with mass media is referred as
no personal component which transport a massage to large group of peoples, often at the same time,
for instance TV, radio, magazines, newspapers. Non personal component means there will be no
opportunity for quick feedback from the message recipient, so the advertiser must know how the
audience will interpret and respond to it, only before the message to be sent. Advertising is famous
and widely spread and discussed form of promotion because of its omnipresentness. It is the main
prominent promotional tool particularly for companies whose products are targeted at mass consumer
markets. It is the most cost effective method for communicating with large audience. Advertising will
be used to improve brand images and symbolic call for a company or brand. This is an important
opportunity for companies selling products that are difficult to differentiate on practical ascribes.
Other plus point of advertising is its capability to hit a responsive chord with customers when
distinction across other tools of marketing mix is difficult to achieve. Good and popular advertising
campaigns can sometimes be influenced into successful integrated marketing communication
programs. The way and

Undocumented Immigrants Be Deported Essay
Immigration has been a hot topic for not only President s Trump first 100 days in office, but also
became a hot topic during the presidential campaign leading up to the election. There are a multitude
of different debates that fall under the immigration category, but an issue that should be discussed in
the national discourse by engaging citizens is the legalization and granting of citizenship to
undocumented immigrants living in the United States. Even though it is heavily debated,
undocumented immigrants should be granted the legal right to become U.S. citizens. A poll done by
CNN in March states that 71% of people believe that the government should not attempt to deport all
people current living in the country illegally (Kopan, 1) compared to only 27% that believe illegal
immigrants should be deported by the same poll. This is key in the discussion being debated that
undocumented immigrants should be legal citizens of the United States. There are a significant
amount of undocumented immigrants who currently reside in the United States today. According to
the Pew Research ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Undocumented immigrants have created lives here and become part of communities, and it is not right
to take that away from them. Not only is it not inhumane, but also it would hurt the economy as well
since granting citizenship to undocumented workers causing the economy to grow, not stunt its
growth. Even though many believe that undocumented immigrants becoming citizens will harm
citizen s jobs, this is also proven to be false because immigrants create jobs and fill the gaps of the
jobs not done by natural born citizens. Undocumented immigrants also are proven to not commit as
many crimes as the American counterpart, unlike many opponents views. By legalizing and allowing
the citizenship of over 11 million people, our country can grow, not only financially in our economy,
but grow as a

Molar Mass Of Butane And Unknown
Molar Mass of Butane and unknown
Abstract:
The purpose of this lab is to find the molar mass of mixed gases in a lighter, and to calculate the exact
mixture of gases in the lighter. The results of this lab were the mass of the lighter, as 100 mL of water
was displaced, was 0.27g, 0.17g, and 0.28g. The molar masses of the gasses for three trials were 64.3
g/mol, 40.5 g/mol, and 66.7 g/mol.
Background:
The purpose of this lab is to find the molar mass of mixed gases in a lighter, and to calculate the exact
mixture of gases in the lighter. While collecting the volume of Butane gas in a lighter, the molar mass
can also be determined. When attempting to find the molar mass, water displacement is the best
method to use. This can be determined because the equal volumes of all gases contain equal number of
particles, so long as they are measured at the same temperature and pressure. Ideal gas law is the
chemistry involved with this experiment. The equations M=mRT/PV and PV=nRT can be seen
throughout this experiment.
Pre Lab questions:
The Ideal gas law demonstrates a relationship between different values in the equation PV=nRT. The
ideal gas law will be used to find the molar mass of butane.
The ideal gas law can be changed with the equation n=m/M. It can be seen that moles equals mass
over molar mass. This can be changed, and substituted into the Ideal gas law to find the molar mass.
The equation goes from PV=nRT to M=mRT/PV.
Molar Mass is the mass of a given substance. It

The Influenza Pandemic of 1918 Essay
The influenza pandemic of 1918 had not only altered the lives of thousands, but the habitual lives of
family and work as well. The Spanish Influenza collected more lives than all of the casualties of war
in the twentieth century combined. After the disease had swept through the nation, towns that once
began their days in lazy, comfortable manners had begun to struggle to get through a single day. What
started as a mild neglect of a typical fever or case of chills had escalated and grown at an alarmingly
rapid rate to be fearsome and tragic. The influenza spread through the simplest means of a welcoming
handshake, a gentle touch, or the lightest kiss. Anna Milani, a survivor of the disease, solemnly
recalled a remorseful memory, I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lee Reay, another survivor of the influenza, reminisced:
It wasn t real medicine, but it smelled like medicine and it tasted like medicine and we put a lot of

went in a hurry, there wasn t much left. It didn t do any harm. Most of them thought it did good[sic]
(Kenmer Influenza 1918).
Homemade remedies were not uncommon and varied from necklaces of garlic to the distinct scents of
camphor, but none to prove to be promising. Death tolls kept rising and some children were left to
fend for themselves. Parents sometimes left their healthier kids in the care of relatives that lived
further away from the pandemic or had spare bedrooms that better the chances of surviving. Family
members that passed away were denied a proper church service as a method of slowing the spread of
influenza; only immediate members of the family were allowed a small and rather quick procession
alongside the coffin. Ministers and priests were scarce and hardly had the time to attend every
procession thus leaving it to the remaining mourners albeit the mother, father, brother or sister to give
an offer of prayer and bow their heads in sorrow of their departure of their loved ones. Face to face
contact was discouraged and often avoided which led to the death of sweet, simple intimacy and

The Department of Public Defense, assigns counsel to those who need an attorney. This is screened by the type of crime, the age of the accused criminal, and etc. Once a client is assigned to one of the divisions, that division must then decide who will individually represent that client. The main purpose of the ACA is too provide defense to those who are charged with a crime, and cannot afford someone to defend them. • 5. The Heart Of The Blake Poem Analysis Blake uses rhetorical questions asked by the narrator while Shelley has Victor expect immediate answers to his questions. Blake has the narrator utilize rhetorical questions to prove that the godlike figure does not require concrete answers, but prefers to live in awe and wonderment. On the contrary, Victor s desire for knowledge and need for answers exemplifies that of a god, eventually leading him and his creation to lead a miserable life due to Victor attempting to assume a godlike position, and therefore, defying Romanticism. Throughout his poem, the narrator asks thirteen questions. The topic of the questions do not center around the narrator himself, but about the Tyger and the creator. With Did he smile his work to see? (Blake l. 19) and Did he who made the Lamb make thee? (Blake l. 20), the speaker shows genuine curiosity and respect for the creator. Similarly, the speaker also inquires about the Tyger by stating What the hand, dare seize the fire? (Blake l. 8), Could twist the sinews of thy heart? (Blake l. 6), and What dread hand? what dread feet? (Blake l. 12). Consistent with this curiosity, questioning also appears in the last line at the beginning and ending stanza. Having the similar questions Could frame thy fearful symmetry? (Blake l. 4) and Dare frame thy fearful symmetry? (Blake l. 24) introduce and conclude the poem, the narrator is portrayed as invested in others than himself. Thus, the narrator is portrayed as a godlike figure due to ... • 16. Pros And Cons Of Predatory Pricing There are several interesting topics professor Aggarwal discussed in Econ 140, the two topics I found most interesting were predatory pricing and vertical integration. Predatory pricing is a method used by firms to lessen competition by essentially eliminating them out of the market. It is the act of charging a price below the firm s own marginal cost in order to drive out a rival out of the market. Once the firm successfully drives the rival out of the market it is free to increase its price and charge its desired price. Predatory pricing is only optimal when the firm s present value of the future profits is greater than the loss profits needed to drive out competitors. The predator must have the sufficient amount of financial resources to participate in such an act, so it can outlast the prey, the competitor. The two firms therefore compete in a price war which is beneficial to the consumer during the price war, however when the predator wins it will essentially have a monopoly and drive up prices far more than usual. Predatory pricing is an illegal act, however it is difficult to prove due to the fact that it can be portrayed as price competition and not a deliberate act. It is not illegal for a firm to lower its pricing as it could be seen as a competitive action. The Federal Trade Commission carefully examines claims of predatory pricing for this reason because it is legitimate business practice. Strict enforcement of rules against predatory pricing could lead to firms ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

According to the author, intersectional friendships challenge a variety of social norms. Previous research shows that straight people who are in contact with gay men and lesbians have a favorable attitude towards them; this favorable attitude is meant as in acceptance, not tolerance. Furthermore, most of the dyad friendships interviewed were very close friends, if not best friends. In multiple cases, the gay man was often incorporated into the straight woman s family. The straight women offer to be a surrogate mother before they themselves are married and trying for children of her own. On the contrary, Muraco further explains the stereotype that all gay couples want children. Another way that these friendships are beneficial to the individual is that they provide great financial support for each other, which is usually a familial function. The media tends to depict these intersectional friendships generally as gay men and straight women that are the best of friends who go shopping and clubbing together. The book beautifully entails that the counselor must observe his client deeply to depict that when he would be able to respond appropriately towards a specific approach. McMinn s ideas about prayer really strike the heart that without God s assistance one cannot proceed towards emotional stability. The book presents an excellent guidance to Christian counselors about appropriate approach towards displaying spirituality in their exposures with their client to ensure a finest blend of spirituality, theology and psychology. The intriguing idea coined by McMinn has direct applicability to counseling that a counselor would be able to amalgamate spirituality and psychology only if his own life is rich in spiritual attributes. Apart from the positive features of the book, a few things have gone unanswered in book as Lord, the greatest spiritual counselor, has remained out of the narration when it came to the self determination that when and how to integrate prayer, scripture or call for forgiveness. The impact of book would have doubled if there was much reference to the spiritual work. Another question striking the mind is that would same counseling approach would be appropriate for every age group particularly the teenagers? McMinn (1996) has not revealed that how to tackle the teens in the prescribed perspective of spirituality because they are the most difficult group to counsel especially when it comes to

The Orlando Gay Nightclub Shooting Essay Twenty four year old Daniel Zamudio was walking through a park in Santiago, Chile, when four men appeared and began to burn Daniel with cigarettes and beat him with rocks and glass bottles, injuring him in various ways (Saul). Less than a month later, Daniel Zamudio passed away due to this violent hate crime (Saul). LGBT people have made outstanding progress on their goal to reach equality. For example, same sex couples now have the right to adopt children in all the states of America and thanks to President Obama, federal workers cannot be discriminated upon sexual orientation or gender identity (Clinton). Although the LGBT+ community has civil rights that should be protected, due to society s narrow mindedness, the LGBT+ community gets treated as second class citizens. My favorite community service job that I completed was located at The Junior Achievement at the Atlanta Discovery Center. The objective of this service was to teach children how to survive and succeed in the world economically through the use of time, talent, cooperation, and education. Before they came to the center students were trained by their teachers to budget money and to spend it wisely. So when they finally arrived, a real life model was presented to them. The results of this lab were the mass of the lighter, as 100 mL of water was displaced, was 0.27g, 0.17g, and 0.28g. The molar masses of the gasses for three trials were 64.3 g/mol, 40.5 g/mol, and 66.7 g/mol. Background: The purpose of this lab is to find the molar mass of mixed gases in a lighter, and to calculate the exact mixture of gases in the lighter. While collecting the volume of Butane gas in a lighter, the molar mass can also be determined. When attempting to find the molar mass, water displacement is the best method to use. This can be determined because the equal volumes of all gases contain equal number of particles, so long as they are measured at the same temperature and pressure. Ideal gas law is the chemistry involved with this experiment. The equations M=mRT/PV and PV=nRT can be seen throughout this experiment. Pre Lab questions: The Ideal gas law demonstrates a relationship between different values in the equation PV=nRT. The ideal gas law will be used to find the molar mass of butane. The ideal gas law can be changed with the equation n=m/M. It can be seen that moles equals mass over molar mass. This can be changed, and substituted into the Ideal gas law to find the molar mass. The equation goes from PV=nRT to M=mRT/PV. Molar Mass is the mass of a given substance. It ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
