The Canadian government was fearful of Japanese spies on the coast of Vancouver. So the
government decided to tally up all the Japanese within a hundred miles of the coast and put them
into interment camps. Although the military said that Canadian Japanese were not a threat to
Canada, the government felt it was amp;#8220;necessary ; to deport all the non citizens. This is
what Joy writes about in her novel.
The novel and the play are similar because they focus around one main minority group and their

The movie Romero portrays the life of Archbishop Oscar Romero of El Salvador. Romero (1917
1980) was assassinated because of his protests against the horrors the government did against the
people of El Salvador. I enjoyed this movie because of the deep themes and meanings that were
revealed throughout. There was no fluff in this movie, and it boldly showed graphic images and
scenes that portrayed the reality of the situation in El Salvador. Although there were times that
some of the subplots were confusing, the overall plot of the movie was straightforward and easy
to understand. The movie begins with a priest, Father Grande, encouraging the poor people to
vote, but the voters are shot at by guerilla soldiers and the soldiers force the people to walk
through the danger. This active work of the priest is observed by Romero who seems to
disapprove of the Father Grande s disruption. At the beginning of the movie, Romero is quiet,
submissive, and does not like to disturb the waters of thinly held peace. These traits earn him the
spot of Archbishop of El Salvadorbecause the church leaders think he will remain uninvolved in

We believe the rate of water evaporation is affected by the temperature and surface area to volume
ratio. The hotter the temperature of the water is, the faster it evaporates, while lower temperatures
slow down the process of evaporation. Also, the bigger the surface area is, the quicker water
evaporates, while water in containers with smaller surface areas take longer to evaporate. We
carried out two experiments to prove our claim.
One of the experiments we conducted was the temperature experiment, in which our independent
variable was temperature. First, we measured 100 milliliters in two beakers of the same size. We
put the first beaker on a hot plate with the setting on 2 for 22 minutes. When we took it off, there

The Sculpture Of Nataraj The King Of Dance
This essay will focus on the sculpture of Nataraja, meaning The King of Dance . The sculpture
represents one of the three major deities of Hindu religion called Lord Shiva. It centres around the
idea of Lord Shiva being the creator and destroyer of the world. The reason I chose this sculpture
is because, I want to gain more knowledge of the spiritual and religious messages connected to the
sculpture as well as understand its importance to Hinduism.
