4. AI-Generated Content
AI can generate content by training algorithms
with large data sets to learn and be prompted to
create 2D & 3D art, make music and write copy.

5. What is Creativity?
Prompt
Imagine a young woman and a man,
walking through an Irish kelly green
scene, music and laughter all around
them, the sun shining, clouds lovely and
billowing, a song in the air as a fair
opens for the village to enjoy

11. AI Faces are Improved
The game Grounded asked
players to create artwork. Prompt:
Imagine children in a fantasy style
as warriors in the backyard the size
of the children in Honey I shrunk
the Kids , fighting insects and
running through blades of grass
taller than their heads

12. What Are Prompts?
Prompts are descriptions in natural language
that act as an input for AI text and art
generators, such as ChatGPT, DALL.E 2,
Midjourney, Stable DIffusion, and other
machine learning models.
Prompts can be as simple as a single line of
text, or they can be highly descriptive or vague.
Prompts can also be images.
Crafting prompts is an art form in itself,
discovering inputs that yield desirable or useful
results. You can add extra parameters to your
prompt to refine the image results you get back.

13. Turn ChatGPT into a Midjourney Prompt Generator
Wolff (2023) provides a step-by-step guide to
defining a prompt template and refining your prompts
using ChatGPT.
His recommendations include using ChatGPT as an
output for batch processing using PREFIX, SCENE,
and SUFFIX.
See the example template on the next slide.
Prompt:
Imagine a surreal visualization of a woman
standing at brink of the future amid a wash of
color and sound, filled with hope and a joy for life

15. AI - Image Generation - Diffusion Models
Image generator prompts work best when you format
them similar to how image captions are formatted.
Prompts can include things like:
● adding nouns/names of your subject,
● descriptive adjectives
● medium you want the art to look like it was
created in
● style and artist names you want your artwork
inspired by
● quality and dimensions,
● should the image be realistic, photographic,
illustrative, computer graphics rendered?
AI - Transformers: Large
Language Models (Google
Bard, ChatGPT, etc)
These models gather lots of
text knowledge (from the
internet, books, social media,
etc.) and when prompted,
they use this to guess what
content to give based off of
instructions given and what
they know. This can include
making up things!
Generally better at editing
than creating.

17. Midjourney’s Settings
In Discord’s Midjourney channel,
type /settings and the Enter key
The menu on the right displays.
The higher settings may use more
resources and increase costs.
18. Using Midjourney and BlueWillow
Both Midjourney and BlueWillow use Discord as the tool you use to interface with while
generating AI artwork. If you go directly to Midjourney or BlueWillow’s website, they’ll link you to
their corresponding Discord server. Midjourney and BlueWillow can be added to your own server.
AvaCon.org has installed both of these onto their server! Go to: https://discord.gg/Ab9QDZM
In AvaCon’s server, you’ll see various channel rooms listed on the left. Scroll down to AI TOOLS
and under this you’ll see 2 channels, one for BlueWillow & one for Midjourney. Click one one of
these channels, then use the Message area at the bottom to type your prompts & text.
In the message box, type in: /imagine
Then either click and select Midjourney or BlueWillow if you see them pop up or simply hit enter
You will then get a prompt box where you can type the text description of the image you want.
After you type your prompt, hit enter / return again and it will start the AI Generation process!
