A mnemonic device is a technique a person can use to help them improve their ability to remember
something. It would be considered a memory technique to help your brain better encode and recall
important information used daily and plenty often. A common mnemonic for remembering lists is to
create an easily remembered acronym also known as the mnemonic, or taking each of the initial letters
of the listed members, and help create a memorable phrase, in which some words with the acronym as
the material. Anyone and everyone can create their own mnemonic to help aid their memory or
memorization of a novel material in which we used most often. A mnemonic device is a tool to help
remember facts or a large amount of information. This can include making a song, a rhyme, an
acronym, an image, or a phrase to help remember a list of facts and important data or information in a

cause extreme deformity that can weaken the bone, cause fractures, stimulate scoliosis of the spine or
cause impingement of the nerves. Clinical representations will mostly include asymmetrical

6. Using Custom Apps For The Android System
One of the ways that a user can expose himself to malware can be to hack Android devices in order to
get root privileges to install custom apps. This has several risks as it elevates a user s privileges
rerouting the Android system. With root privileges, an Android user can do many things that the
Android manufacturers have disabled for you as a normal user. This creates security flaws because
hazardous apps can be installed and apps can get root privileges. User installed apps that require root
privileges can be especially dangerous. Illegal means will beget illegal acts. A general rule of thumb is
that if a user must do something that the Android designers don t want them to do, then it s for good
reason. A good saying to follow by is that if you aren t the consumer, then you are the product. This
means that if you get things for free, then there s almost always a catch. Security may be a beneficial
factor for devices, but ultimately the user is responsible.
The Google Play Store is an app that connects to a server hosted by Google that stores a large
collection of apps made by companies or users. These apps add functionality to our phone. Developers
use Google s software development kit or SDK to create new apps for the Android platforms. If
Developers uphold Security, then hackers may not be as likely to create malware to reroute apps to the
detriment of the users. Developers may also look at the statistics and comments of the app to learn
what bugs are still in the app

friends; therefore, Victor neglects his health and travels to harsh environments to catch the monster
ending in his own demise. It is knowledge that causes Victor to gain dangerous ambition, the ambition
that causes him to undertake the immoral and laborious task of creating life. The creature ends up
ruining Victor s life, and he has only the knowledge he pursued to blame for that. Victor used his

In fact, an expert from the L.A. Sheriff s Department who testified at the Sleepy Lagoon trial is quoted
as saying:
Let us view it from the biological basis. . . Total disregard for human life has always been universal
throughout the Americas in the human population. And this Mexican element feels a desire to kill or at
least to draw blood (Tobar, 1997). On top of the racism faced in the courtroom was the media bias
against the Mexican American population. In the process of covering events in the city, the then
Hearst owned papers did a series of articles on the pachuco gangs, depicting Mexican American
neighborhoods as being fraught with violence, places of raping and pillaging (Tobar, 1997). This was
the atmosphere of the city at the time of the Sleepy Lagoon murder in 1942, when the body of Jose
Diaz was found at a common swimming hole after a party. Because of the public outrage over
pachuco gangs, which was instigated by the media, the sheriff s department went on a sweep of the
city s barrios, rounding up and arresting over 600 young men in connection to the Sleepy Lagoon case.

The Arab world is now dominated by one strong and fierce religion. But, during the dynasties of such

The origins of the religion and the beliefs of Zoroastrianism were and still are the cornerstone of the

From 226 641 AD, Persia was finally back under Persian rule with the Sassanids. During this time,
Zoroastrianism grew rapidly and was the most powerful religion in Persia. Eventually under the
Sassanids, who were of Zoroastrian belief, made
Zoroastrianism the official state religion. This meant that everyone was now of this belief since that a

For the black man, the average walk down the street is a game of chance. Will his tall and dark figure
spark controversy? Will people see him and immediately move in the opposite direction? Will women

male teens are subjected to scrutiny and categorized into negative classifications throughout society.
TV viewers are fed violent black male stereotypes with a rusty spoon; these stereotypes can be found

Proximity is also used to process what is going on in this picture. The sign at the forefront of this

20. `` Long Day s Journey Into Night `` By Eugene O Neill
The tragedy is part of many plays, and Long Day Journey into Night is no different. The author
Eugene O Neill captures this in his play published in 1956. A semi autobiographical play the author
focuses on a family of four, which is the Tyrone family, where their mother Mary is a morphine addict,
while her son Edmund is suffering from tuberculosis. Many families try to hide and cover addictions
as part of protecting their family name and image. In the play, Long Day s Journey into Night ,
Eugene O Neill exposes the Tyrone family as reluctant, bitter, and naive, all which correlate to the
dysfunctional family that they are. James who is the father and Jamie, the alcoholic son suspect a
relapse, which made Mary start abusing drugs again. Despite this, their determination is not to engage
in any hostilities that might upset her, as she they think this will further affect her ability to handle
things. Under such circumstances, feelings of sadness and guilt engulf them, as they do not want to
confront her as they love her, but they know at some point she will need help. In fact, the first chapter
of the book is like walking on egg shells. In the play, there are two main tragedies surrounding the
family, which is the addiction and illness in the household. To bring out the addiction, O Neill shows
Mary as a troubled woman, who needs Morphine to cope with life challenges and demands. As her
family is well aware of the issues she faces with her addiction, they do not show

21. Promotional Mix
Kia Thunder Rewards Zone
The traditional promotion mix has four components: Advertising, Publicity, Sales promotions, and
Personal selling. These four components are used together by a company to market their materials.
The success of utilizing the promotion mix well can make or break a company s promotional
campaign. Although all components play a part in the campaign, one or another component may be
used more extensively depending on the product or material being marketed. Living in Oklahoma for
12 years now, I have become pretty familiar with the sporting events and local teams. In 2008, the
Seattle Supersonics were sold to Clay Bennett and then moved to Oklahoma City with a new name:
Thunder. Since the move, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sales Promotions The big promotion with the Kia Thunder Rewards Zone is the opportunity to win
free tickets or the chance to buy tickets. Most single game tickets are sold out soon after becoming
available so if avoiding paying high dollar for tickets through scalpers or online, this program is a
great opportunity. Also, the Thunder are hoping that all fans who win or buy a ticket have a great
experience and come back again and again. They also expect most fans to spend money on
concessions and merchandise so it s a win win situation for the team. Personal Selling This component
is not used with the Kia Thunder Rewards Zone promotion. Overall, I feel the OKC Thunder has done
a great job with this promotion. Not only does it bring more fans down to the arena, it also gives them
a chance at tickets they normally would not be able to get. The local businesses benefit as well
because the influx of fans who do not win the tickets, end up staying downtown to watch the game at a
restaurant or bar.

23. Book Review of Liberty and Power Essay
Harry L. Watson, Liberty and Power;
The Politics of Jacksonian America
Hill and Wang, N.Y.
Review written by Richard Foust Book Review Harry L. Watson s book, Liberty and Power, The
Politics of Jacksonian America , takes an analytical look at America and her politics during the Age of
Jackson. Watson uses the economy and the ideological mindset of the people, to support a powerful
argument about the beginning of American political parties and their importance in defining the
political direction of the country. Watson argues that economic inequalities caused by the Market
Revolution and a threat to American liberty caused Americans to organize politically in support of a ...

The subsistence farmer, unable to compete, saw the Market Revolution as a threat to his liberty and
acted on this threat. Watson surmises that with this threat, politically active citizens were ripe for a
political party system that would protect their independence and liberty. Enter Andrew Jackson, who
appealed to those voters who felt threatened by the changing economic picture. Jackson and his
supporters believed that the Republican/Whig political party represented an elitist, aristocratic
government that would put the ever expanding economy and their own profit above the liberty and
good of the majority and it was the good of the majority that Jackson would rely on with great
success. He believed that the preservation of the Republic depended on the majority and the majority
was represented by independent farmers, who were profiting the least from the Market Revolution.
Believing that any government based on aristocracy could become corrupt, he felt that that the best
way was to treat all of the citizens alike and turn the rule of the country over to the majority. This
majority, with the fiery General Andrew Jackson as their leader, would create the Democratic Party.
Watson s focus on political parties, chapter 6, is an important part of this book. Not only does it
support his argument, but it also gives the reader

24. Summary Of The Centaur
Within May Swenson s The Centaur, she talks about a little girl that uses her enormous mind to
imagine herself transforming into a horse. The girl is in a whole new world of her imagination as she
rides through the hills of her backyard. Swenson allows readers to take part in the transformation from
human to horse that the adolescent girl described undergoes, thus emphasizing the importance of
childhood and imagination on the woman identity and how strong and intelligent they could be.
In the poem, May uses the Greek mythological creature, the Centaur, as a symbol of the girl
pretending to ride the horse and then became the horse himself. A centaur is a half man half horse
creature. Centaurs are strong creatures they stand for being strong, brave, and they have a hard identity
which reflects the girl s identity of having all these characteristics. Swenson makes it seem as though
the girl herself is a Centaur. In words and phrases like: my hair flopped to the side like the mane of a
horse (line 29 to 30), I shied and skittered and reared (line 33), I was the horse and the rider (line 38),
spanked my own behind (line 40 ), and my two hoofs beat a gallop along the bank (line 41 to 42 ) . All
these symbolize that the girl is imagining to be a horse and a human at the same time like a centaur. At
the end when her mother said: why is your mouth all green ? (line 71 ) it shows how the girl has a very
high level of imagination that while she was imagining to be

25. Kevin Durant s Selection Process
July 1st is the beginning of the pursuit. We all knew it was coming. Kevin Durant begins his selection
process. With the massive TV deal leading to the rising cap, Durant will have many options. He has
narrowed it down to six teams; the Thunder, Warriors, Spurs, Celtics, Heat, and Clippers. I have
dissected the candidates.
Thunder No brainer. Durant was drafted by the Thunder (Supersonics) number 2 overall in the 2007
NBA draft. Durant has blossomed into a superstar with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The 7X All Star
described as the scoring prodigy has won the scoring title four times. The face of the franchise, Durant

KD in Green, charging out of the tunnel at the TD Bank North Garden to his first NBA title, 18th
franchise title, permanently stamping his title as one of the greatest if all time. This is the scrawny kid
that was chosen second to Greg Oden (gotta love the NBA draft) in 2007. Durant is not about wasting
anyone s time. JHe wants to go where he can lead his team and win a title. A place he can call home,
cement his legacy. No better place than the Celtics. The Celtics are an organization rich with tradition,
from Larry Bird to Bill Russell, no one can argue the deep history seeping through Legends Way
around the Garden. Currently, they have a solid young defensive team and the money to spend to
acquire one or two missing pieces. Durant has raved about the Celtics organization before. They are
definitely the dark horse in this game.
Heat All honesty, outside of the weather and no state tax I have no idea why he would choose to go to
the Heat. Whiteside is a free agent and will most likely sign elsewhere, Wade will likely be resigned
but is on the downside of his career, and no Bosh. The Heat are expected to enter free agency with
about $42 million in cap space, there would have to be some maneuvering on the part of the Heat to
sign Durant and still have a team around him that can compete for the title. No

26. The Work Of The Textile Industry Of A Man By The Name...
In America a man by the name Isaac Singer was working on a product that would change the textile
industry for forever. Singer lived from 1811 until 1875 and contributed too many successful models
both in business and that of design. These contributions would be seen over the next 2000 years.
When Isaac Singer was growing up he was being influenced by some of the large changes going on
around in the world. After Napoleon s defeat in 1814 an era of peace began. This would kick start a
world of mechanization. In the time that singer s sewing machine was being designed and produced
the United States other countries were at the peak of the design reform. This reform has several
implications on Singer and his machine. His sewing machine was made ... Show more content on

One of these designers was Samuel Colt. His approach to interchangeability of parts would be one that
influenced many designers to come. This interchangeability could be found among singers machine
and this made the up keep of his sewing machine easy. Another benefactor in Isaac s contraption was
Adam Smith s division of labour and Wgatt s guidelines for metal work. While this was still frowned
upon in the time of reform it was softened by the standardization of labour and the introduction of
education and laws. Another concept that was brought up in America was Eli Whitney s model that
involved the reduction of hard labour and this was demonstrated in his Machine, the Cotton Gin. This
machine was used to save labours hours separating cotton, this concept of using mechanization to find
ease in production was adopted into Singers sewing machine. At this time in history women were
starting to have more of a voice and were taking on more household tasks and this ease of fabrication
for textiles rather than hand stitching was very appealing. However this revolutionary machine may
have been more on the industrial side and was not something that you would show off on your house
as an ornament.
Isaac Singers three prong approach to design and marketing he stormed the world fair in England.
With Singer focusing on marketing that involved social movements that started to

27. The Cult Of Masculinity
The cult of masculinity. When it comes to the big screen, women are treated like second class citizens.
Women were portrayed as helpless creatures, waiting in the castle for their Prince Charming whereas
men were dauntless, swooping the Princess of her feet and saving the day. This gender gap came to an
end when The Hunger Games (2012) was released in theaters. The brave Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer
Lawrence) did what no real man or Prince could ever do stand up for someone else even when it
meant risking her own life. The Hunger Games was not only one of the top grossing movies of the
year, but it was also one of the very few movies where a woman was able to display her stability and
willingness to fight. The Hunger Games, Divergent, and Gravity are some of the few movies that
show a women s potential than to sit in a castle. They all show three common characteristics for the
roles of women: courage, personality, and recognition. May the odd be ever in your favor. Those were
some of the last words Katniss had heard before her sister s name was called out for the seventy fourth
Hunger Games. Without thinking about anyone else, Katniss bravely accepted her sister s spot in the
games; a suicide mission. Katniss Everdeen: fearless, bold, and intrepid. While a Disney Princess
would yell for her Prince, Katniss would launch arrows at her enemies. The only thing that would train
along through her mind so for her to get back home to her family. If she wanted to win the

According to the recently opened court documents and depositions from a civil suit filed by the
alleged victim, Mr. Crosby acknowledged he had given women Quaaludes as a party drug in his
efforts to have sex. These documents had been sealed but were released by a federal judge in July
2015. Additional signs of Cosby s consciousness of guilt are his apologies to the victim and her
mother along with his offer of financial assistance. The proof of rational choice, in this case, is in the

planning an escape with the help of a fellow prisoner. The prisoner informs Dantes that he knows

Once hearing that Valentine had been poison, the Count states, What is it to me? (Dumas, 517). This
shows that the Count is a new person indeed, since if it was Edmond Dantes, he would have sprung up
and run over to Valentine to help her since he had acquired a knowledge of medicines to help poisoned
people. If Edmond Dantes was still living up to his birth name, he would not have acted and said these
things, unless he really changed who he originally was. Even though, the Count tried to become a new
person both physically and mentally, the old Edmond Dantes still interfered with his actions. When
Morrel comes to the Count and tells him about Valentines poison, the Count thinks nothing of it, but
as soon as Morrel told the Count that he loves Valentine, old Edmond Dantes shines through. When
Valentine and the Count converse in chapter sixty one, the Count remarks, I have not closed my eyes
for an instant during the last four nights; for the last four nights I have been watching over you to
protect and preserve you for our friend Maximilian (Dumas, 526). This shows that the Count did not
really care for Valentine, but as soon as a loyal family friend as the Morrel s asked for his help,
Edmond Dantes stepped up and would do anything to lend a helping hand. Also, after the Count and
Mercedes talk with each other, and Mercedes convinces Edmond not to kill her son, the Count starts to

31. The Letter Of The Visa Card
I did something crazy this weekend and traveled two states away to see my brothers and their families.
I have a BP visa card from Chase. I was filling our van up with gas in Pennsylvania and it got
declined.
Ironic Occurrence Number 1: My BP Visa Card was declined when I was filling up with gas at a BP
station!
Actually, I didn t know it was declined at the time. The readout at the pump said see cashier . So, I
tried again and it failed again and told me to see cashier again.
So, ya know what I did? I went and saw the cashier.
He was a nice guy with a Indian accent. Who d a thunk it? A guy from India at a gas station? Yep. He
was very helpful and told me I vas sviping it too vast . So, he came out with me and showed me how
to svipe it slower. And after he did...the result was still see cashier .
Ironic Occurrence Number 2: The gas pump told the cashier he should see himself.
So, I used my other credit card and it worked fine.
I immediately called the phone number on the back of the card and I spoke to another person from
India. This time I think the person was actually located in India! She told me my credit card was
placed on hold for security reasons. She then asked me all sorts of verifying questions; mother s
maiden name, last four digits of my social security number, whether I was circumcised or not and then
told me everything was okay and my purchases should go through from now on.
And, that s not what happened.
