2. HEALTH IS A CONSTITUTIONAL
RIGHT
“Health care is not a privilege. It's a right. It's
a right as fundamental as civil rights. It's a
right as fundamental as giving every child a
chance to get a public education.” ---Rod
Blagojevich

4. CONT.
“The enjoyment of the highest attainable standard
of health is one of the fundamental rights of every
human being without distinction of race, religion,
political belief, economic or social condition”.
No one should get sick and die just because they
are poor, or because they cannot access the health
services they need.

5. CONT.
 The right to Health is a part of the Right to Life and
therefore right to health is a fundamental right
guaranteed to every citizen of India under Article 21
of the Constitution of India.

6. CONT.
The WHO goes on to clarify that it is the
state’s legal obligation to ensure uniform
access to “timely, acceptable, and affordable
health care of appropriate quality.

7. HOLISTIC HEALTH
In Greek, Holos means wholeness. From the Greek
root, holism is thus to do with the whole unit rather
than as a sum of its individual parts.
Holistic health is an approach to life that considers
multidimensional aspects of wellness. It
encourages individuals to recognize the whole
person: physical, mental, emotional, social,
intellectual, and spiritual.
