The relationship between the individual and society is not just something found throughout human
history, but also within the pages of a literature classic. From the first days of settlement in America,
to racial tensions and slavery, to the development of capitalism, there has always been a relationship
between the individual and society that is reflected in the written pieces of each time, revealing the
connection between oneself and the collective spanning across the centuries. The Scarlet Letter ,
written in a Puritan world, and Bartleby, The Scrivener , written in capitalist America, are two key
examples of literature that expose, detail and discuss the relationship between society and the

Five Layer Approach Abstract The current OSI network model has been around for a long time and
with the current transition of network use we need a model that has the ability to adapt. The ideas
which bought OSI into existence still apply today and even though it is having to keep up with new
technologies it is still the basis to our network models which are in place today. 1. Introduction The
OSI data model originated in 1977 and this model contained the original seven layer protocol. The
model has since been modified to be used with the changing protocols of the network whilst keeping
the seven layers. The seven layer OSI model has been able to cope with the updates but there are
duplications of operations which creates a redundancy in the model. 2. Proposed System The OSI data
model allows different operations to be performed in one layer but with the changing technologies we
are able perform more tasks simultaneously. The OSI model doesn t fully utilise this technology, this

In my compare and contrast essay, I am going to be comparing two poems. The two poems that I will
be comparing are Musee des Beaux Arts by W.H. Auden and The Starry Night by Anna Sexton. I will

The first poem, Musee des Beaux Arts by W. H. Auden is about a fictional being falling from the sky
and the people around not noticing it, but just going about their daily lives. The meaning behind it is
that something really bad can happen, but no one would notice it because they are too busy to see
what is happening or just to blind to notice it. The plot of the poem is that people cannot turn an eye to
someone else who is suffering or dying because they are too caught up in their lives or their own

Analysis Of Petruchio In Taming Of The Shrew
During the play Taming of the Shrew by Shakespeare, Petruchio is a very intriguing character. One of
the more notable things he does in the play is tame Katerina. However while the play is called taming
of the shrew, I believe his intentions are to have a loving relationship with his spouse. However I don t
believe that was the case the whole time! Petruchio originally did not have feelings for Kate because
he claims during the beginning of the play that he travelled to Pertua to marry a woman with a rich
father. Whilst attempting to tame her he claims he is enjoying doing so, I believe that he is enjoying
because he is getting to spend time with her, while falling in love with her and not even realizing it.
After Petruchio has starved her and deprived her of sleep as well as other things, he makes a real
attempt to be nice to Katherine and I believe that s what really tamed her. Overall I believe Petruchio s
original intentions were to use Katherine and marry her for her wealth. But over time he began to fall
deeply in love with her. We see this by Petruchio putting a great amount of effort into his attempt at
taming Katherine. We see this during his thoughts and speech about marriage and happiness. And
lastly, we see this through his flirty and affectionate gesture towards Kate. Through these things I
