Riddle 2019
Introduction
Opening the classroom to the world is one of the culture in 21 Century Learning. This
view is aligned with our 6 Aspirations in the Malaysia Educational Blueprint. The project
aspires to ignite the students leadership skills, dual-language competency, empower
knowledge, fostering good ethics, encourage higher order thinking skills and embracing
national identity. The students are expected to play riddles with their counterparts, using
their background knowledge of the world around them and work collaboratively with their
teachers and friends.
Objectives
By the end of the session, students will be able to:
i) make simple sentences for communication purposes
ii) ask and respond to riddles with correct pronunciation and intonation
iii) analyse riddles and provide answers correctly
iv) evaluate activity experienced
v) organise group work effectively

Conclusion
Overall, all the activities executed successfully. There was minor interruption during the
call but it was compensated by sending Skype video to conclude the activity. Post Skype,
the students reflected on their feelings and all of them were happy to contribute and par-
ticipate. In addition, the students cooperated very well and managed to discipline them-
selves. This was attributed to the fact that they felt comfortable playing the roles assigned
to them. While only 50% of them feel their performance during Skype was great, all of
them were motivated to Skype again with other countries. The interactions were able to
motivate the students as all of them said they would like to learn English better. The re-
flection session proved that this activity managed to achieve its objectives while discover-
ing students’ talent and intrapersonal intelligence.

RIDDLE SKYPE 2019

  • 1. An international collaboration between SISC+ PPD Hulu Terengganu, SK Seri Berang, Terengganu, Malaysia and Saitozaki Elementary School, Fukuoka, Japan. Date: 12 March 2019
  • 2. Riddle 2019 Introduction Opening the classroom to the world is one of the culture in 21 Century Learning. This view is aligned with our 6 Aspirations in the Malaysia Educational Blueprint. The project aspires to ignite the students leadership skills, dual-language competency, empower knowledge, fostering good ethics, encourage higher order thinking skills and embracing national identity. The students are expected to play riddles with their counterparts, using their background knowledge of the world around them and work collaboratively with their teachers and friends. Objectives By the end of the session, students will be able to: i) make simple sentences for communication purposes ii) ask and respond to riddles with correct pronunciation and intonation iii) analyse riddles and provide answers correctly iv) evaluate activity experienced v) organise group work effectively Event details Date : 12 March 2019 Time : 10.30 a.m. Venue : SK Seri Berang Target group 14 year three students with multiple learning abilities.   • 4. Riddle 2019 Blog entry on the event Conclusion Overall, all the activities executed successfully. There was minor interruption during the call but it was compensated by sending Skype video to conclude the activity. Post Skype, the students reflected on their feelings and all of them were happy to contribute and par- ticipate. In addition, the students cooperated very well and managed to discipline them- selves. This was attributed to the fact that they felt comfortable playing the roles assigned to them. While only 50% of them feel their performance during Skype was great, all of them were motivated to Skype again with other countries. The interactions were able to motivate the students as all of them said they would like to learn English better. The re- flection session proved that this activity managed to achieve its objectives while discover- ing students’ talent and intrapersonal intelligence.
