also witnessed female leaders, who are visionaries and trailblazers in the field.
One such wompreneur is Ms. Sushila Ram Varma who is a dignified Advocate
and the Co-Founding Head of The Indian Lawyer  Allied Services. She has been rendering

Ms. Sushila Ram Varma elucidates that her corporate journey has been quite fantastic and is characterized by the
dearth of women in the legal profession when she first embarked on this phenomenal journey. Prevailing societal
stigma often propel women to the roles of mere pastime, presuming that their ultimate destination is marriage and
homemaking. However, she finds immense fulfillment in defying these stereotypes, not only persevering in her
career but also achieving notable success.
Despite the pervasive mindset of a predominantly male-dominated society at the time, she acknowledges the
support and encouragement extended by several influential men in positions of authority. Even judges in higher
courts have played a significant role by nurturing her confidence during her early days in the profession, granting
her opportunities to argue cases despite her relative lack of experience.

Ms. Sushila explained what inspired her to become such an extraordinaire in the legal landscape, “I found law to be
extremely interesting and intellectually very challenging. In fact, just before doing my law, I was seriously contemplating
business management, as I come from a business family. However, my Father encouraged me to take up law before doing
management. This random decision decided my career path, as once I started law, I found it extremely fascinating. I was
also inspired by the fact that lawyers command a lot of respect in society and if they want, they can make an impact in
the society. I noticed that world over some of the people in the highest positions, came from a legal background. This
is possibly because lawyers are trained to understand problems, plan strategies and implement the same. The most
motivating part of being a lawyer is that our work is always about troubleshooting. Finding solutions to other people’s
problems can be very motivating, especially when you have clients who are grateful for your guidance.”

Ms. Sushila Ram Varma asserts that it’s crucial to make your employees content to

Under Ms. Varma’s leadership, corporate social responsibility is all about imparting
legal knowledge to the common man. In this vein, they frequently post quality videos

The only change that has come
in our profession is the use of
digital media. Hence, today
we are depending a lot on the
digital world, be it our library
or software and programs for
drafting and research. There
are an ample amount of digital
tools that help us in our day-
to-day practice,” claims the
inspiring women Leader.
Adopting as per the client’s need
Ms. Sushila Ram Varma believes in adopting and adapting, advise and strategy as per client’s
requirements. Several times, the clients come with a certain concept that is worth considering.
In such cases, the legal team is expected to guide them the right way, without giving them
any sense of doubt. “We have to make them see the larger picture. I feel if we keep the best
interests of clients as a priority, everything will fall into place,” asserts Ms. Varma.
Insights on gender equality
Ms. Sushila Ram Varma is an avid believer that “traits such as intelligence, hard work,
and attitude are inherently gender-neutral, capable of empowering both men and women
to confront challenges and competition with equal determination.” She observes that
contemporary women enjoy greater freedom and autonomy compared to previous generations.
However, Ms. Varma cautions against equating liberation with brazenness, emphasizing the
importance of adaptability and resilience in navigating life’s complexities.

A nation grows by the collective efforts of both men and
women. You can’t think of a developed economy without
allowing half of its population to participate in the devel-
opment process. A country’s growth is just like a relay
race. You run to the best of your ability and pass the ob-
ject to your partner, but if the partner doesn’t contribute,
you lose. There’s a very similar situation India has been
facing all these years. The mindset over the last 70 years
has been that a male member of society should work and
the female should look after the household chores.
The society has been very rigidly killing the dreams
of the girl child through its senseless explanations.
However, when I call the society as senseless,
it has very much to do with the kind of
education they have been imparted.
A society is the result of its ed-
ucation. This is so interlinked.
The country was looted by
the Britishers. When they
left the nation, India was an
extremely poor nation with
a rift between religions, lack
of resources, poor infrastructure,
and complete uneducated society.
Eventually, as things began improving,
one thing which grew at a slower pace than
others was ‘mindset’. This mindset still believed that
boys are the assets for the family and girls as a liabil-
ity. Thus, the education of girls was considered as the
least priority stuff. A human without education will
be so much underconfident to make decisions about
life. Girls grew up seeing their brothers getting new
books to read, a new pair of shoes for school, a new
bag and all these fascinating things which she should
have been an equal owner, were taken away from her.
When she looked at things creatively and asked out
of curiosity, the people around made her feel a fool
and thus she stopped looking at things creatively and
her curiosity died within. As she reached her teens,
the family began looking for a groom and eventually
got her married and the world around her changed
immensely. Despite all these changes, most women
never run away from their responsibilities. In most
Indian houses we see a brigade of women who very
honestly fulfill their duties towards their home. And
this is where the potential lies.
If we can channelize their management
skills in a way that more women gath-
er the self-confidence to share their
thoughts, to express their needs,
the entire nation grows. Not

‘Lijjat Papad’. Today the compa-

comes to talking about sex education, women’s health,
and female hygiene. These are still considered as a stig-
ma, a taboo. Our conservative society needs a brigade of
women who can step up and talk more about these. A
start-up in the field of women’s well being is a need of
an hour. At an individual level, we should begin to pro-

Mary Kom, who faced all the hardships from society
and yet became a champion at boxing. Kalpana
Chawla, who just defied all the stereotypes and went
into the space making India a proud nation. There’s a
lot to it. The message though is, there’s hidden talent
in every Indian household. We must be proud of it
and create more opportunities. As a father, brother,
husband and in whatever role we can, we must at
present and in the future always support the women
in our house to be contributing factors to the nation.
There’s a lot we can do as a nation when people unite
and work together.
This is the time when we should all be tired of the
stigma and difficulties faced by women around
the nation and let them step out and learn a new
skill, choose a career, innovate, experiment, try,
fail, manufacture, sell, invent and do a lot more
of these regularly. Such approaches will make
companies grow stronger. A new brigade of
women empowered companies will make for a
more empowered nation.

Naina Jain, a science graduate from IILM, University of
Bradford, has proved that whatever women put their
minds to, they can excel in. She became the Additional
Secretary of MD International School, Bijnor at an excep-

It is now clear that women have equal capabilities to at-
tempt and to work, but the culture and society have sup-
pressed women and bound them to domesticity. However,
times are changing, and men and women now cooperate
in various areas of life. Progress and career achieved by
women are not given to them on the basis of sympathy;
it is a matter of struggle, and added to it is the struggle
against gender discrimination or distinction. Having a ca-
reer encourages women to have strong wills and a differ-
ent focus, which were not a demand for women earlier.
Burden and responsibility of a female leader or other ca-
reer women are huge. Women usually not only have a ca-
reer, but also the responsibility to be a housewife at home.
Such responsibility, indeed, is not imposed upon men.
Naina has been recognized for her efforts to bring about
a change in the social and educational system at a young
age. She was awarded the Best Young Director of the Year
Award (Below 40 years) by GECL, and the Most Promis-
ing Young Woman Award for Excellence in Women En-
trepreneur category by Global Leader Foundation in 2018.
Futuristic Ideas for the Future of the Education System
Naina’s familiarity with relevant technological de-
velopment has brought to the MD International School
development and modernization.
Artificial Intelligence and robotic process automation are
capable of speeding up production, ensuring better qual-
ity control and, ultimately, increasing company revenues
by many hundred percent. Internet and AI are already
familiar to most of us. But the future will take them even
farther.
She states that Cloud Storage can be used to store data
and use the built-in data labelling service to label our
training data by applying classification, object detection,
and entity extraction, etc., for images, videos, audio, and
text. The labelled data can also be imported to AutoML
and used to train a model directly.
DevOps and agile development, new-generation process-
es and techniques that work hand in hand in developing,
testing and distributing software of all types, have been
in the IT business news continually for about the last
half-dozen years. It’ll become harder to ignore the data-
base. It’s not static and it can’t be done some of the time.

Eventually, as things began improving, one thing which grew at a slower pace than others was ‘mindset’. This mindset still believed that boys are the assets for the family and girls as a liabil- ity. Thus, the education of girls was considered as the least priority stuff. A human without education will be so much underconfident to make decisions about life. Girls grew up seeing their brothers getting new books to read, a new pair of shoes for school, a new bag and all these fascinating things which she should have been an equal owner, were taken away from her. When she looked at things creatively and asked out of curiosity, the people around made her feel a fool and thus she stopped looking at things creatively and her curiosity died within. As she reached her teens, the family began looking for a groom and eventually got her married and the world around her changed immensely.
