Strengths And Weaknesses Of Oral Communication
Sender: this refers to the originator of the idea or the communicator. To be a good sender, you need
to be clear about the message that you are sending. Typical questions to be answered at this level
includes what do you want to communicate? and why are you communicating? Failure to address
these two issues properly at the start may increase the chances of failing with respect to the whole
communicationprocess. As a sender you may use symbols that express your message and create the
desired response.
Message: this is the intended information to be passed on or communicated. Without a message,
there should not even be the need to communicate at all. It has to be properly summarised as and
when necessary to ensure that it is well understood. The message should meet five basic criteria.
It should be clear, complete, and correct, save reader s time, and it should build goodwill. o It s

The type of message you wish to communicate to a large extent determines the method to be used to
pass it on. In organisations, oral communication can be in the form of face to face discussions,
presentations, audio tapes, telephone calls or video conferencing, and written methods such as
letters, reports, bulletins, job descriptions, posters, notes, employee manuals and memorandum.
Decoding: this is what happens upon receiving the information. It is the breaking down of the
information by the receiver to a level that will enhance understanding. It is greatly influenced by
factors such as the ability to read and comprehend, listen carefully and asking questions and
clarifications as and when necessary. Should there be any form of misunderstanding with respect to
the information by the receiver, the source/sender will need to re send the information, this time,
using a different method or additional details to enhance proper understanding by the

Why Was The Scottsboro Boys Trial Unfair
The Scottsboro boys trial took place in March of 1931, a trial that was dictated by race and not
by actions. The accusations were faulty, as was the evidence. Yet the boys were all sentenced for
death or life imprisonment. The trial was unfair at least, the nine black boys were in the wrong
place at the wrong time.
The boys were riding a train to find work and instead got into a fight with some of the white men
on the train. The police were called and they came. Two women were also in the train car and out
of fear they reported they had been raped by the black men. The black men were then arrested and
taken out at gunpoint. They were put on trial a few days later.
The trial began in 1933, and it was ruled by race only. The first trail every

The Practice Of Polygamy Throughout A Wealthy Family
In a wealthy family, polygamous housing consists of a separate housing unit for each wife and her
children (Metz, 1993). These units can be separate houses or houses within a walled family
compound (Metz, 1993). A compound can include a separate house that the men of the family share
and use for male gatherings, such as meals with guests or business meetings (Metz, 1993).
The practice of polygamy is decreasing significantly due to urbanization, education, development,
and the cost of living (Al Saif, 1997). Generally, educated and employed women have more
independence and reject polygamy as a part of their marriage expectations. Gharaib (1991) found
that 86.8% of husbands in the Gulf (Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain and
Saudi Arabia) have only one wife, 9.6% have two wives, 1.1% has three wives and 0.33% only
has four wives; 74.7% had married their relatives; and 25.5% live with their extended families.
Al Saif (1997) found that in Saudi Arabia, only 4.8% of parents approves of their daughters
marrying a husband who has another wife. This rate is much lower than the previous rate of
14.5% (Al Saif, 1997). Traditionally the decision to marry made mainly by both families and
marriage is often contracted by agreement amongst families in order to expand their circle of
alliances and enhance their prestige (Metz, 1993). A partner is chosen by a person s family, not
based on the Western concept of romantic love (Metz, 1993). A woman s opinion may be respected

Comparing Nature And Nature In Julius Caesar
man (2315). The narrator compares Nature to the natives, in order to emphasize the concept of
purity, which inherently goes hand in hand with the Adam and Eve reference. This comparison to
nature, portrays the vulnerability of the natives, by using Nature as a way to symbolize a modest
way of life that God had first intended for Adam and Eve in paradise. Consequently, the terms used
to describe Nature, such as harmless, inoffensive, virtuous can also be used to refer to the native
people, prior to the devastation caused by the European colonizers. Additionally, the comparison to
nature also enhances the natural state of the natives and how she is something that must be
admired and protected in order to make the most of its existence. The narrator openly admits the
erroneous ways of Europeans, by claiming that the invaders could have learned far more from the
natives than all the inventions of man, which exposes the barbarity of European intervention.
Despite coming to the realization that both cultures can learn a lot from each other, the narrator
merely conveys the extent of the natives purity and continues to document the varying degrees of
oppression. Ultimately, Behn signifies the shift of power when Mr. Trefrey changes Oroonokos
name to Caesar and the narrator follows through with this oppressive gesture, by calling him
Caesar until the end of his narrative. The name change foreshadows Oroonoko s tragic death, but
also serves as a representation of

When Art and Religion Collide: My Name is Asher Lev
My Name is Asher Lev, by Chaim Potok, tells a story about a Hasid, young man driven by a
great passion: drawing. The character Asher Lev is presented within a Hasidic, Jewish
community. These Hasidic communities are very conservative in many aspects; they care deeply
and influence their members in a lot of decisions they make in life. The Rebbes of the Jews is the
man whose members of the community go to quite often for advice, as Asher s uncle Yitzchok said
to Aryeh, People go to the Rebbe because they have a cold (30). The relevance of the Rebbe is
shown in very early stages of the book when, for example, Asher s father explains to him how ...

Asher s personality is very intelligently described in the beginning of the book, when he argues
with his dad that drawing is not foolishness (12). He also tends to talk back to his authorities, and
often expresses his disagreements towards their ideas. This sort of behavior is very unusual for a boy
his age, coming from Hasid traditions. Asher is very curious, constantly asking questions, to the
point where it can be of irritation to his father. He sees the world differently, and he draws it as
such. As a young boy, his mother asks Asher to draw the world prettier , but he refused. He
claims that the world is not beautiful to him, and therefore he won t draw it as such. This almost
rebel like behavior isn t generally accepted in Asher s community. He doesn t want to follow the
standards that are set and that he s told he should follow, but he d rather express his art as he sees
it to be the most representative.
Asher has a profound connection with art, even in early stages of his childhood. It is his way of
interacting with the world around him, his form of expression. Asher s way of seeing the world
generally doesn t align with how his authorities want him to see it. At first, it is his mother who
asks him to draw the world prettier , but he refuses, and later when he draws the pictures for the
Mashpia. The drawings for the Mashpia are significant because they represent how much art really
meant to Asher. Drawing those pictures made him

Essay about Explanations of Personality Development
Explanations of Personality Development
According to Sigmund Freud, what we do and why we do it, who we are and how we became
this way are all related to our sexual drive. Differences in personalities originate in differences in
childhood sexual experiences. In the Freudian psychoanalytical model, child personality
development is discussed in terms of psychosexual stages . In his Three Essays on Sexuality
(1915), Freud outlined five stages of manifestations of the sexual drive: Oral, Anal, Phallic,
Latency, and Genital. At each stage, different areas of the child s body become the focus of his
pleasure and the principal source of sexual arousal. Differences in satisfying the sexual urges at each

The superego is the Freudian structure of personality that is the moral branch of personality. The
superego takes into account whether something is right or wrong. The superego as what we often
refer to as our conscience.
During the oral stage (birth to 18 months), the child if focused on oral pleasures (e.g. sucking).
Too much or too little gratification can result in an Oral Fixation or Oral Personality, which is
evidenced by an obsession with oral activities. This type of personality may have a stronger
tendency to smoke, drink alcohol, over eat, or bite his or her nails. Personality wise, these
individuals may become overly dependent upon others, gullible, and group followers. On the other
hand, they may also fight these urges and develop negative personalities and aggression toward
others.
In the Anal Stage (18 months to three years), the child s focus of pleasure is on eliminating and
retaining faeces. Through society s pressure, mainly via parents, the child has to learn to control
anal stimulation. In terms of personality, after effects of an anal fixation during this stage can result
in an obsession with cleanliness, perfection, and control (anal retentive). On the opposite end of the
spectrum, they may become messy and disorganized (anal expulsive).
The pleasure zone in Phallic Stage (ages three to six) switches to

Impact Of Opt Out Systems
IMPACT OF OPT OUT SYSTEMS
The Taskforce consider opting out information to be more sensitive in nature than information
provided by opting in Organ Donation Register ( Organ Donation Taskforce , 20). The current is
based on an open access website with an electronic register that is available to all hospital staff. In
an opt out system, not registering in this register may mean that someone s organs may be taken
when they have had a serious objection to this. Theoretically, it is possible for someone to re enter
someone s name on the register without them knowing, although there is no evidence to suggest
that this will happen on a wide scale. This is why some may argue that an opt out system would
require far greater security due to the sensitive nature of the information. This information could be
accommodated on the Personal Demographics Service ( Organ Donation Taskforce , 2008) but
entering all this data would be a drain on the NHS resources especially at the start of an opt out
system which would involve entering the data of several million people. People may also choose
to be increasingly specific about which organs or tissues they choose to donate as medicine
advances so the framework required for would be rather complex. This would also take a large toll
on the funds provided to the NHS with the costs of for the setup of IT and communications
approximating to ВЈ45 million. An additional ВЈ5 million per year is needed to refresh public
messages and an estimated ВЈ10

Herzl Anti Semites
It is essential that the sufferings of Jews became worse. This will assist in the realization of our
plans. I have an excellent idea. I shall induce anti semites to liquidate Jewish wealth. The anti
semites will assist us thereby in that they will strengthen the persecution and oppression of Jews.
The anti semites shall be our best friends Theodor Herzl diary. Theodor Herzl impacted the Arab
Israeli conflict by his organization called Zionism. Herzl was born in Hungary in May 2,1860.
He decided to move to Vienna because of his sister s death. He studied law but soon he became a
writer. In 1889 he married Julie Naschauer ,but later on it was an unhappy marriage. He had three

Herzl talked about how Jews needed a nation or a land of their own which jews could express

conflict so he thought the solution was to have a Jewish state. In 1897 there was a first Zionist
Congress in Basel, Switzerland where Herzl persuaded the delegates to accept his ideas. The
main reason was for The World Zionist Organization. People from other countries attended the
congress. Herzl was elected President of the organization. There are many perspectives about
Theodor Herzl and The Zionist Organization. Some Israeli are against Zionism because they
believe that it doesn t go with their beliefs and the traditional Judaism. It s being demanded by
political sovereignty. Before the Zionist Organization Jews and Arabs had a friendship and lived

Symbols represent something of a higher meaning. In Their Eyes Were Watching God, by Zora

The pear tree is the exemplary love for Janie in her lifetime. Janie grows throughout the book and
her life is shaped around finding true love and finding herself through love.
The pear tree is a reoccurring symbol in the book. The first instance of the pear tree in the book is
when Janie watches a bee pollinate from a blossom. The pear tree represents what Janie thinks

Joe Starks. Joe seems very handsome and genuine at first but Janie s opinion of him quickly
changes. She feels like she is just playing the part as a wife. She does the clichГ© duties of a
wife. She works in his store, cleans, and cooks for him. She wasn t petal open with him anymore
(Hurston 67). Janie and Joe became no longer intimate with each other. There is no connection
between them. Joe eventually dies and Janie has to starch her face to mask her true feelings for
Joe. She is actually relieved and feels free. The deaths of Janie s dreams change her outlook on
men and life. After her two mediocre marriages, Janie feels lost and feels like there is no one out
there to meet her expectations. Janie s entire image of love changes when she meets Tea Cake.
He is everything she ever wanted. He is the pear tree marriage, that Janie has been looking for in
life. According to Mrs. Worrall, Tea Cake makes Janie feel virginal. He makes her forget about
her two previous marriages. Janie awoke next morning by feeling Tea Cake almost kissing her

Shoplifting Techniques Used By Shoplifters
9.16.What are the shoplifting techniques used by shoplifters?
Shoplifters use a variety of techniques, such as boosters, blockers, sweepers, walkers, diverters, and
wearers.
Boosters are shoplifters who shove merchandise into concealed areas of parcels, and booster boxes
are carefully construct that appear authentic, tightly wrapped packages, but which contain trap
doors that allow the shoplifters to slip merchandise into the boxes quickly and easily.
Blockers are to obstruct the vision of the store personnel while they or a partner shoplifts by simply
stands between the salespersons and a shoplifting partner.
Sweepers are simply brush merchandise off the counter into a shopping bag or some other type of
container. They typically reach over a counter and apparently, to examine a piece of merchandise
but in the process of bringing their arm back they sweep merchandise off the counter and into the
container.
Walkers are shoplifters who have perfect the technique of walking naturally while carrying
concealed merchandise between their legs. Shoplifters who have developed this skill are capable
of carrying merchandise both small items and large items such as personal care products, wines

Apprehension of this kind will strengthen the store s case against a shoplifter. In most cases, store
security or management personnel will handle these types of apprehensions. It is important for
store employees to inform such personnel immediately in order apprehensions can be made before
the shoplifters escape. At times if the store security or management personnel are not available, a
good approach to use when stopping a suspect is to speak to the person and identify yourself, then
say, I believe you have some merchandise that you have forgotten to pay for. Would you mind
coming back to the store to straighten this matter

However unlike the US, Hofstede indicates the Mexico has a very high degree of uncertainty
avoidance , which means that its people are very orthodox and rigid in their beliefs; there is
usually no tolerance for new innovations or ideas. The remaining nations, Japan, South Korea and
Taiwan also share some of the same characteristics as Mexico, so Hofstede characterizes them as
collectivists societies as well. Given these cultural contexts, it is safe to say that Costco embeds
itself and operates within a variety of different cultures.
Organizational Culture
In terms of Costco s organizational culture itself, Costco refuses to look at itself as a big Wall
Street corporation, instead it works to maintain itself more as a small company even though it is
the country s 4th largest retailer by volume. Its espoused values can be drawn from its vision
statement which says: In order to achieve our mission we will conduct our business with the
following Code of Ethics in mind: obey the law, take care of our members, take care of our
employees and respect our vendors . Former long time CEO Jim Sinegal s driving vision for
Costco still dominates and it is all about conceiving that small company feeling and he did this by
creating value from within. Of course for Sinegal, creating value from within meant taking good
care of Costco s 160,000 employees, which is explicitly stated in the vision

Over The Counter Medications Of Maca Root
Maca root is coming into its own with regards to a possible alternative to over the counter
medications. In the United States, maca root is a supplement as opposed to an actual medicine, so
you should research anything with maca to examine its uses, benefits and possible side effects.
Here?s your complete guide to taking maca root pills, including maca supplement dosage, how
much maca to take and any possible side effects to this superfood.
What Is Maca Root?
What precisely is maca root? Maca root comes from the Peruvian Andes Mountain region. Native
people began cultivating maca root around 2,000 years ago. Natives used maca root as a vegetable
and as a tea like drink, but also as a medicine.
As a plant, maca root is red, purple, yellow, black and cream colored. The bulb like part that
stores the food reaches to 4 to 6 inches long and 1.5 inches wide. Maca root seems to only grow in
high altitudes, and Peruvians have become experts at growing, cultivating and using this plant as a
staple food.
Although ancient Peruvians have known about this plant for some time, maca root is just now
gaining prominence as a superfood. Maca root, at least in the United States, usually comes in a
powdered or capsule form. There are several uses for this versatile plant as a supplement.
Benefits of Maca Root
Although the U.S. Food and Drug Administration does not regulate or evaluate maca root
supplements, there is some evidence that maca root is an aphrodisiac or a fertility enhancer.

Chinas One-Child Policy Essay
China s One Child Policy
In our society, the United States, children are seen potentially as the as the future. Whether they are
male or female, they have the power to be something when they grow up. But if their life is cut
short, the opportunity to do so is taken away. In 1976, China implemented what is known as the
quot; One Child Policy quot; in order to try and solve their problem of overpopulation (McDonald,
1996). Although the policy may seem as though it is a good idea in solving the problem, the
consequences of this policy has lead to female infanticide.
Throughout centuries, China has been battling with overpopulation, one of the biggest issues that

First of all, are they willing to keep the child since it is the only one they can legally keep? If the
couple decides that the child they want is a male, they must decide on what to do with this child.
What happens to the child ranges from giving them up to state orphanages to murder. Due to the
enforcement of the one child policy, many female children end up in orphanages (Beijing Review,
1997). Being put into an orphanage in our society would give the child a chance to live and maybe
even be adopted by another family. In China, the conditions in the orphanages are so filthy that the
neglect that they would have at home if the couple decided to keep the female would be better than
the maltreatment they would receive.
Many female children end up in orphanages in China rarely having males occupy them unless
there was something wrong with the child. Each month 90 percent from 50 to 60 baby girls
arrive in one of the many orphanages and end their lives their (Choe, 1995). The children sit on
bamboo benches with their hands and feet tied to the armrests and legs of the chair. Below them
are buckets that are placed under the holes in the seats to catch their excretions. When it is time for
bed, the children are taken out of the seats and tied to their beds (Geographical Magazine, 1996).

thorough job of investigating the accident scene, I would look over everything top to bottom inside

Was it hiding material or contents in the magazine of an illegal nature? Then if this is true, and
the location of the magazine is the backseat of the car, and should it be directly connected to
Danielle and not her father, then we have a possibility of an additional crime, that Danielle would
or could be charged over and above anything to do with the car accident.
After ascertaining the reason and type of magazine in the brown paper, are answered, then the next
questions to the puzzle would be in regards to any elements found in and around the car that could
be the cause of the accident either directly or indirectly. Anoher questionneeding an answer is
would that particular magazine affect the outcome of any lawsuit filed or charges brought against
the driver that was a factor in this accident. Also, should it be determined that this item would affect
the outcome of the lawsuit then it is relevant and should be taken and entered into evidence.
However, if it wasn t related to causing this accident and the item was still containing illegal
material or hiding contraband then according to FRE 403 the magazine could be relevant to an
entirely different crime. Therefore, Danielle or her father could be held or charged with a crime if
he or she was concealing anything

Sigmund Freud And Erik Erikson
The psychoanalytic perspective was predominantly attained by parents of children with emotional
problems 70 80 decades ago. The discontinuous psychosexual and psychosocial theory takes place
in stages in one course moving through drives that are biological along with societal expectations
(Berk, 2013). The contributions to this perspective include both Sigmund Freudand Erik Erikson.
Freud examined psychosexual theory and how those first childhood years of drives shape the
personality. Thus, such drive names are the id, ego, and superego. The id emergences in the early
stages of infancy, between 3 to 6 years of age the superego or conscience appears and are shaped by

In continuation from Freud s theoretical perspective, Erik Erikson overlaps in theory and expansion
with Freud s five stages and adding three adult stages (Berk, 2013). However, Erikson differs from
Freud in various regards. In addition to expanding on psychosexual stages above childhood, Erikson
focuses additional importance on historical and social influence (Feist Feist, 2006). In fact, Erik
Erikson, psychosocial stages theory suggests the significance over all psychosocial development
between the parent child relationship (Leggett, 2017). Erikson postulates that the first stage infants
seek their basic essential needs relies on trust versus mistrust, which is parental responsiveness that
helps infants to determine the first year of psychological conflict (Leggett, 2017), for example.
Subsequently, throughout the second stage of autonomy versus shame and doubt, a toddler pursues
further independence and can experience discouragement if feeling shame (Leggett, 2017), for
instance. In his psychosocial theory, Erikson suggests that negotiations amongst the id desires and
the influences of the superego, the ego creates a beneficial developmental influence, attaining ways
of thinking and creating abilities which make individuals contributing and active family and
community members (Dunkel Sefcek. 2009). Interestingly, Erikson writes that although the

Analysis Of The Star Spangled Banner
As our national anthem, the Star Spangled Banner is more than familiar to us Americans. For most
of the times, we feel a sense of patriotism when the tune rises. Usually, our society confirms that the
lyrics of the national anthem promote a sense of praise to our nation. This makes people rarely
examine what other messages our national anthem wants to pass to us. However, Jimi Hendrix, the
renowned rock guitarist from the late 1960s, interpreted our national anthem in a very different
perspective. He used different sound effects and crafted special emphasis throughout his recreation
of the song in the Woodstock music festival for one purpose celebrating the freedom of expression
in this country. The presentation of optimistic and pessimistic viewpoints throughout the
performance signifies the listeners the praise to the freedom of expression in America the spirit
which enables us to grow from our struggles. As American citizens, we have the lyrics of the Star
Spangled Bannerat our fingertips. However, most of us never think about what these words stand
for. Usually, we generalize the entire song to symbolize American patriotism with the often positive
sounding accompaniment. Nevertheless, Jimi Hendrix s recreation of the Star Spangled Banner, is
pressuring his audiences to closely examine the lyrics of the Star Spangled Banner.
A very special structural characteristic of this song, as you might not have noticed before, is that it
constantly asks questions. For example,

Olympic Games Has Brought A Great Deal Of Economic,...
Introduction
It has been witnessed that Olympic games has brought a great deal of economic, social, cultural,
environmental and political changes to the host country. From the perspective of economics,
Olympic games can overall positively contribute the host country in its economic growth, urban
expandation, employment opportunities, households welfare improvement, etc. For example,
Korea and Japan have comparatively experienced dramatic GDP growth after Olympics in Seoul
in 1988 and Tokyo in 1964 with rates of 16.8% and 15.8%, respectively. In addition, developed
countries like Spain that host Olympic games in Barcelona in 1992 gained much domestic
consumption with 11.1% growth rate, even thought the average employment growth in Spain kept
flat, which is mostly due to the economic recession in Europe at that time that has significantly
offset the economic benefits from Barcelona having Olympic games (Vegara, 1992). In theory, the
net changes (positive changes minus negative changes) from new economics activities in related
to an event is defined as Economic Impact (Foster, Greyser Walsh, 2006). In 2001, China was
renowned for holding 2008 Olympic games in Beijing. This event has economically brought a
considerable of positive impacts in vary aspects such as domestic demand improvement,
employment rise, and so forth. However, 2008 Olympic games in Beijing also contains negative
economic impact, such as the expenses on bidding for hosting Olympic games (Shipway

the ruler but Antigone didn t really seem to care what this brought to her and she continued with

She does a lot of things throughout the play in terms of action but her beliefs remain the same
though the whole play and that s what defines her as a static character. For example, there s one
part in the play where Antigone is talking to Ismene about how she does not agree with Creon on
what he wanted to do with there brother and Antigone wants to do something about it but Ismene
not to much because she is afraid to go against the ruler. This shows how Antigone is loyal to her
family and stay strong s on what she believes in even if it means going against the ruler. Another
example is when Creon finds out what Antigone did and Ismene tries to take the blame for her
but Antigone does not let her. This once again shows how Antigone stays loyal to her word and
isn t afraid to take responsibility of her actions and this shows how she is static character because
she stays the same on what she beliefs and what s to

Richard The Lionheart
In the middle ages, knights were considered special to the society. Knights were also held higher
than other categories of fighters, such as archers and foot soldiers. Knights were generally richer
because of their service for the King. Being a knight was not easy work, and not many could
actually do it. Each knight was equipped with a suit of armor. The armor was very expensive
because it was believed to make them stronger than archers and foot soldiers. Knights performed
very well in the medieval feudalismeconomy. Because the knights defended the king, they could be
granted a piece of land. The knight could also then have peasants that worked on their land in
exchange for protection from the knights. The peasants would do all the... Show more content on

no actual evidence of the knights of the round table. There is also no evidence of the sword, that
was thought to be pulled out of a rock. Another well known king is Richard the Lionheart.
Richard the Lionheart succeeded his father Henry II as King of England in 1189. During the
Third Crusade he confirmed his reputation of a great leader. After returning to England, he was
captured and handed over to the Holy Roman Emperor. Richard was soon released after a
ransom was paid. Richard the Lionheart died in 1199 after he was hit by an arrow. Next, El Cid

outstanding political skills, he managed to gain considerable concessions from the Mongols.
He died in 1263, and then he became to be known as the national hero. Last, Edward of

fought in France along with his father Edward II of England. The Black Prince played a huge

Cheers To Ambiguity In Hitchcock s 1946 Notorious
Cheers to Ambiguity: Ambivalence, Intoxication and the Death Drive in Notorious Hitchcock s
1946 Notorious takes place in the morally ambiguous world of post World War II where the
questioning of alliances and moralities have reached a breaking point. Alicia, the daughter of an
incarcerated Nazi supporter, finds herself in the midst of a purgatory world stuck in between love
and hate, in other words one of ambivalence. This state of conflicting feelings of hatred and love
for the same individual lead to a world of uncertainty or irrationality where the lines of morality
only continue to be blurred. In other words, intoxication amidst this state is a driving force of the

The more we love the more we hate is the defining feature of ambivalence showing the
correlation between the two emotions that are in fact, contrary to popular belief, deeply
intertwined with one another. Therefore, to love someone must also imply a desire to despise
the one being loved. Ambivalence is the way we recognize that someone or something has
become significant to us .... wherever there is an object of desire there must be ambivalence .
These strong emotions are seen as a destroying force leading back to the desire of the death drive
that is seen As the essence of the instinctual that cannot be outrun. This meaning that it (the death

The Importance Of Sex Offender
The future and the safety of the kids today society is very important. Children safety is mainly
important because later in life they will be the ones who will oversee how things work in
society. If kids are put into the situation were they can get harmed by a sex offender this can have
a domino effect on how their life can resolve. Being sexually abuse by a sex offendercan be very
traumatizing and take a mental toll on the child that is being abused. Sex offender are qualified
as unlawful because of the level of harm that can be brought to a kid. If kids are not mental
stable than how will they be able to go through everyday life as an adult. Many sex offenders
became sex offender because they may have been abused by another sex offender when they were
a child. Drastic measure should be taken to keep children out of harm s way. Sex offenders should
have a designated area to live in, they should work in a work environment where there are minimum
to no kids, and they should have a monthly evaluation on their mental health.
Sex offenders are required to send out a post card to everyone in the neighborhood to inform the
community that they will be living nearby. On the post card that the sex offenders send out states
their name, height, weight, race, and age. Sending out a post card is a good tactic to warn the
neighborhood of a sex offender nearby but this still isn t completely safe for children that live in

Finally, the DHS found that the TSA had implemented procedures to investigate and resolve

The TSA maintains a screening Performance Management Information System (PMIS) where
recorded complaints are logged. Operations research analysis teams and federal security directors
review complaints logged in the database to track trends and identify areas of concern and take
appropriate actions, including possible disciplinary actions, to resolve specific issues. Complaints
involving allegations of discrimination based on color, race, gender, religion, or national or ethnic

considerable concern raised by some regarding inappropriate behavior during pat down screening
procedures, the DHS found no problems with the technique.
Nonetheless, privacy groups, such as the American Civil Liberties Union (ALCU), continue to
express concern over potential intrusion on individual rights and alleged cases of sexual
harassment and abuse of passengers, particularly female passengers, by TSA screeners. These
concerns, however, raise a significant challenge for the TSA: to maintain high levels of security,
which require resolving all alarms and screening in detail those passengers ascertained to pose an

One way to approach this fantasy is by owning an car. In the twenties, cars were a status of wealth
and freedom. In the novel, Gatsby possesses cars and one of them is the yellow Rolls Royce. Nick
states, It was a rich cream color, bright and there in it s monstrous length with triumphant hat
boxes and supper boxes and tool boxes and terraced with a labyrinth of wind shields that
mirrored a dozen suns. (pg.57). The primary reason for Gatsby s car to be yellow is to pull in

The Great Gatsby is the passing of Myrtle Wilson. Daisy, who was driving Gatsby s yellow car,
accidentally hitting Myrtle, and indiscreetly running in the valley of ashes. This, once again,
symbolizes the rotted good and lack of regard of Daisy. Additionally, the way that Myrtle
perceives the yellow car, not the driver, speaks to that society can be effortlessly deceived by
external appearance and surface. Gatsby held full obligation regarding Daisy s mishap and
therefore Myrtle spouse killed Gatsby. Likewise, Gatsby was snared in a phoney relationship and

The Fight Against Poverty Around The World
One of the most important steps in the fight against poverty around the world is the creation of
jobs. The most competitive and successful in this direction is the social entrepreneurship. The task
of the social enterprises is to contribute to the solving of the social problems and promoting of the
people s livelihood. Social enterprises provide jobs for hundreds of thousands of people in the
various fields: food production, marketing, credit, insurance, and transportation. The social
enterprises open a variety of employment opportunities for the people with disabilities,
marginalized groups, youth, and women. In many countries the social enterprises are working
closely together with the governmental organizations, both at national and local level. Today,
entrepreneurs and enterprises with social responsibility around the world receive support from the
non profit organizations, foundations, governments, and individuals. However, despite the fact that
the benefits of social entrepreneurship are clear to many, there are many difficulties with its
development. There is still not reached a consensus on what social enterpriseis and who can be
called a social entrepreneur. Some believe that the term social entrepreneur must refer only to the
founding organizations, the main source of income of which is the payment of their clients. Others

Abstract Power reduction is an major challenge in the integrated circuit design since it degrades
the chip performance the reliability. Frequent transistor switching caused due to large IR voltage
drops gives raise to timing violations and logic failures. A new clock control strategy is been
introduced in this paper such that the simultaneous switching of the combinational paths is
minimized. This is achieved by clustering the delay slacks having similar slack values. Once the
paths are identified based on the path delays and their slack values the clustering algorithm
determines the path to clusters in a load balanced manner based on the slack values and each
cluster will have a phase shift possible on its clock depending on the slack.
INTRODUCTION
Low power has emerged as a major goal in today s electronics industry. The motivations for
reducing power consumption differ from application to application. For high performance, portable
computers, such as laptop and notebook computers, the goal is to reduce the power dissipation of
the electronics portion of the system to a point that is about half of the total power dissipation
(including that of display and hard disk).

Innovation In Construction Research Paper
2.3.Fusion of traditional and innovative technologies
In order for innovation to take place, there is a need to examine how traditional approaches can be
synthesized with new technologies, in order to attain the most efficient way possible of
performing tasks. The overlapping can be minimal, in that only a small percentage of the new
technologies are taken on board, to aid or make employing the traditional process more efficient; or
it can be total, in that the whole approach to the process or system is overhauled to make way for
the new technologies. The Merriam Webster Online dictionary (2007) defined innovation as the
introduction of something new or a new idea, method or device. [45] Innovation in construction,
therefore, happens ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Investigating areas where technology fusion is most likely to happen in construction can assist in
identifying the areas where mechanization and automation in all probability will be most relevant.
These technology areas may include phases of construction, such as adopting a greater percentage
of innovative technologies during the design phase, as compared to the construction phase; or it can
be in terms of the construction process itself. Some construction processes such as the installation
of building components are easier to automate as opposed to, say, substructure or building
foundation works. In this case, the drive to innovate is facilitated by the relatively straightforward
technological process that is already in place within this area. [8]
2.4.Importance of using mechanization in construction works
The importance of the use of mechanization and automation in construction works appears to be
increasing on a daily basis. Manual methods are rapidly giving way to mechanical methods in the
effort to increase productivity, meet increasingly complex specifications, construct or actualize the
growing complexity of modern designs, utilize the numerous new construction materials that are

Persuasive Essay On Into The Wild
Understanding oneself is one of the most important factors in living a free life, and living on the
road can be a big part of this process. In the novel, Into The Wild, Jon Krakauer writes about a
boy who ventures into the wilderness and inevitably learns more about himself on a journey right
before he dies. In order to avoid his problematic family, Chris McCandless journeys into danger
where he meets people who help him learn more about the world. Although he does eventually
meet his end in Alaska, he leaves the world without worries or regrets. By living on the road and in
nature, Mccandless is able to live the life that he wants and be free from the clutches of society.
While living on the road can prove fatal, it allows a person to find themselves and avoid the
problems of society; therefore, people should look to nature in order to better understand
themselves. By living in nature, a person is able to truly understand what they want in life, and
how to achieve it. Nature allowed McCandless to reflect and understand that it was the place that
he wanted to be submersed in. Similar to many romantics, McCandless was a person who saw
the beauty in nature and wanted to experience it for himself. He was tired of society and all the
pressure that was put upon him by it. McCandless states to his father, I ve decided that I m going
to live this life for some times to come. The freedom and simple beauty of it is just too good to
pass up (92). Even before he enters the wild, McCandless has a sense that living in the wild is
what is right for him. He knows that he wants to be free within the plains of nature instead of being
confined by the walls that his parents placed him in. After his adventures through the country
during college, he eventually saw it best to give up everything and seek himself within nature.
What Mccandless wants more than anything is to be free from his uneventful life with his family
that had high expectations for him. By being in nature and on the road, he is able to achieve this
because he has no real connections to society. By being given the possibility of entering the
beautiful and simple space given by nature, nothing can stand in the way of Chris s dreams and
aspirations. Although

Health Care Reform Throughout The United States
Abstract
Health care reform and health care itself has been a debatable subject for quite some time. Health
care is a major issue that is found not only in the United States, but around the world. Controversy
has gone around this subject due to the causes and effects of the reform and the matter of not being
successful as many hoped. The World Prosperity Organization and the Institute of Medicinehave
two intriguing viewpoints about health care reform and what is needed to be done. The World
Prosperity Organization touches bases on medical negligence, premedical education, money,
mindset, medical school and the health care system itself. The Institute of Medicine focuses on the
need for healthcare to be safe, effective, patient centered, timely, efficient and equitable. As the
viewpoints are noticeably different, they still wrap around the idea that health care reform has
room for improvement to be more successful and not have a negative impact on people around the
world. The both agree that something needs to be done and done soon. Health Care Reform Health
care is an important topic that needs to be addressed more often and looked into more thoroughly.
For many years, and even today, our health care system in the United States has effected many and
been the cause of numerous cases throughout our country. It must be noted that this problem is not

The Safety Of Autonomous Vehicles
Smart Cars
Gartner has estimated that by 2020 there will be 250 million connected cars on the worlds roads,
which has left a considerable asking questions about the safety of autonomous vehicles (Scott). An
autonomous vehicle is a mode of transportation that does not need a person driving it.
Cisco s Smart Connected Vehicles division has a hypothesis which states that autonomous cars
could eliminate as 85 percent of head on collisions. One of the greatest problems that smart cars
face is getting people to trust them. In a study conducted by Carlnsur, it found that 80 percent of
people would not purchase a self driving car if they had the option, citing their main reason of
opposition as a lack of trust in the computer to get them to their destination safely (Young).
Furthermore, because the cars will be able to communicate with each other Cisco believes that the
traffic would be lighter and therefore save drivers time spent in traffic. Henceforth, by cars
spending less time in traffic there will be less carbon released into the air and fuel costs will
decrease, which will lead to a more sustainable environment.
Smart Trains
Nearly $30 billion will be spent in the next 15 years on the IoT projects in the railway industry,
according to Cisco. This is expensive because extremely old infrastructure will need to be replaced
with cutting edge technologies. The new IoT technology will be able to allow for more productivity
and a safer ride.

what is concerning many people at NASA about what the future might hold for NASA.
Missions to earth have been slowed down over the years. Missions to earth are when NASA
sends a probe into space to look at the earth. This is significant because it helped us know more
about how the cloud systems work and how storms work. The missions to earth have started to

not any in a few years. This is concerning because it means that there could be something very
alarming going on above the earth that might be very serious.

eyes, you re blind to the corruption of your life, to the house you live in, those you live with....
(Lines 470 472). Tiresias knows that Oedipus unknowingly carries out the prophecy foretold by
the gods to his parents, King Laius and Jocasta, by killing his father and marrying his mother. In
the play, Oedipus describes how he ignorantly kills a man at a crossroads because the man hits
Oedipus, and being angered, Oedipus then reacts emotionally instead of with logical thinking.
Oedipus tells Jocasta, A man, just as you ve described him, coming face to face, and one in the
lead and the old man himself were about to thrust me off the road.... I strike him in

The Atrocities Of The Holocaust
The atrocities of the Holocaust placed the German Jewish population in a quagmire of antisemitic
persecution, but it also spread beyond Germany to affect Jews throughout Europe. Poland was such
a country. The first nation invaded by Nazi Germany and the last to be liberated, the population of
Polish Jewswas nearly eradicated. How were the Nazis able to accomplish such a feat in a nation
where antisemitismhad not been as prevalent? Aside from forcibly introducing antisemitic policy
into Poland, the Nazis relied on fear and self interest to accomplish their goals. For the average
Polish Catholic in 1943, a decision had to be made on where they stood regarding the Jewish
problem . Should they sit idly by and do nothing, or perhaps even assist in the capture of the
Jews? Or maybe they could risk everything by hiding and otherwise aiding the Polish Jews. If I
were such a Polish Catholic citizen living in 1943 and the opportunity arose to help a Polish
Jew, my conscience would prevent me from doing any less. Deciding to aid the Polish Jews is
not a decision to be taken lightly. To aid any number of Jews would risk one s very life. So what
would cause an individual to take such a risk and assist the Jews faced with Nazi persecution?
Whether I sympathize with the Jews religion or not, I would recognize that what the Nazis are
doing is atrocious. Only if I were as malicious as the stereotypical Nazi would I think otherwise. I
simply could not survive having done nothing

Feudalism In The Carolingian World
1.Central authority became non existent in the Carolingian world, opening up travelers who
were Muslim, Magyar, and Viking. This made a new type of relationship between free
individuals. Lords and vassals came up with feudalism; it was never a consistent structure. The
lords would give land to their vassals in return for the vassals promise to fight. Most of the army
had been foot soldiers until the Asians introduced the stirrup, and with that; knights were born and
they used coats of mail and lances. This was costly and lengthy because the men had to train.
Lords also had to give land to all of the vassals family, making land the most excellent gift a lord
could grant to his vassal. The pieces of land the lords gave out were called fiefs.... Show more

The revival of trade was very slow because trade had generally declined in Western Europe except
for Byzantium trading with Italy. More cities started trading again, with Venice becoming a huge
new trading city. Flanders was off the coast of modern day Belgium, and were known for their
well made woolen cloth. Many merchants from England, Germany, France and Scandinavia
started trading here. By the 12th century regular trade had been established between Italy and
Flanders. France traded champagne while northern merchants brought fur, wool, tin, and honey
from England. Cloth and swords came from Italy and silks, spices, and sugars came from the
East. Gold and silver came in and a new economy came into play. All of this was a part of
commercial capitalism, making people invest in trade to make a

Are Libraries Worth The Money Of Taxpayers Research Paper
Are Libraries Really Worth the Money of Taxpayers? Libraries have long served the purpose of
providing books and Internet access to those in need. However, libraries have become almost
obsolete in society and do not really serve a purpose anymore. With the constant advancement of
technology in the world, people no longer need to check out a bookor use an old computer. Even
though libraries offer many services to the public for generally no charge; libraries can no longer
be justified as worth the hard earned money of taxpayers due to the emergence of new technology,
as well as the lack of funding available to maintain them. For starters, the age of technology has
made it really difficult for libraries to remain relevant in today s society.

The Hack-A-Shaq Strategy
The Hack A Shaq is a basketball strategy used in the NBA, which is now drawing attention.
Players that can not shoot free throws are struggling from this problem. Since certain players can
not shoot free throws, the opponent decides to foul the bad free throw shooter on purpose hoping
that they will miss at least one shot and then get the ball back. Now there are many problems that
come with the issue. The players that can t shoot get jumped on all the time. To show the referee,
the opponent jumps on top of the poor free throwshooter. They could get hurt and players want that
to change. Also, the pace of the games become really slow when the strategy is being used. It gets
boring for the viewers to watch the same guy miss more free throws.... Show more content on

Players need to learn how to shoot free throws. A part of the sport is having to shoot the ball into
the hoop. Players need to learn how to shoot a free throw because it s their job. If these bad foul
shooters knew how to shoot free throws, they wouldn t have ever had this problem. These guys
get paid millions of dollars to do their job, so why can t they just learn to shoot a free throw?
You can t protect guys because they can t shoot free throws, Bryant said, via ESPN. You re
getting paid a lot of money to make a damn free throw, dude. I think it sets a bad precedent. I
wouldn t change it. (Pollakoff Kobe joins LeBron, says hack a Shaq rules should remain
unchanged). The amazing, legend Kobe Bryant even agrees, that no changes really need to be
made, and that the aspect of shooting free throws needs to be increased. Yes everyone does have
a weakness, but when someone gets paid millions of dollars to do their job, they should do it
right. The D League, which is the league below the NBA, claim that they do not need any rules
because they do not use the strategy much because they do not need to. Now why would the pros
need it and not the amateurs? The commissioner talks about the negative affect the strategy has on
the people that watch the sport. He says that children should learn and learn to shoot free throws so
stuff like this does not happen again and again

Charles Baudelaire Dance Analysis
As Charles Baudelaire said The dance can reveal everything mysterious that is hidden in music,
and it has the additional merit of being human and palpable. Dancing is poetry with arms and
legs. Ballet, is one of the oldest, well designed, and passionate ways of dance that can explain
without world the meaning of what Baudelaire said. Ballet is not an essay task, and requires
strength, discipline, and devotion. It s known for being swift, and romantic as well as unique, and it
stands out in between the rest of the art.

During this third part the dancers wore silver white clothing that stand out more the beauty, and
elegancy of the choreography. Of course, the music was a big part of the show. The song of this
segment was composed by other of the great, Peter Ilyitch Tchaikovsky. The music was selected
from Symphony No. 3 in D major, Op. 29, 1875. These melodies also evoke passion, romance, and
many feelings like the other ones did. The instrumental portion was incredible was like a violin and
piano duet. This combination of sounds was spectacular, you could feel how each piece that the
orchestra played was over flowing with emotions and how it brought them out.
In conclusion, I must admit that Jewels Ballet was my first classical concert. I thought that coming
there will be a waste of time or maybe, it could made me feel boring, but for my own surprise this
performs was amazing. Each song played were creatively intertwined into the dance, expressing
emotions that are impossible to describe. If you think in all these together, you can see that the
combination of dance and music go hand to hand, and can create magnificent fusions of
entertainment like Jewels Ballet performed

The War Of 1812 Pitted Two Western Powers
The War of 1812 pitted two western powers against one another, the newly established United
States of America and the ancient United Kingdom. Battles raged on for roughly two and a half
years, resulting in what many agree ended in a tie. What many disagree with is how the war came
to fruition. The two research papers within Retrieving the American Past seek to connect the dots.
Firstly, Reginald Horsman cites many concrete reasons behind the warfare: British impressment,
calling back the return of American soldiers deemed responsible to serve in the Royal Navy, upon
the American army, meddling with maritime trade between the States and European nations
(notable France), and inciting or taking part in Indian attacks against the colonies.... Show more

Although both papers contain the truth, Horsman s comes much closer to explaining the reasons
behind the War of 1812. McCoy speaks through the eyes of the Jeffersonian community, not the
entire American population. Due to its smaller scope of the relevancy, Mccoy s paper is less
effective than Horsman s. Drew McCoy s paper includes much more depth into the Jeffersonian
mindset. The American economy depended largely on the exportation of farm grown items.
Clearly, access to foreign markets is a must for success. These markets were made inaccessible by
the presence of British ships scattered about the passageways to France and other European
countries. Jeffersonians, peaceful by definition, suggested a lengthy embargo. This holdout would
put pressure on Americans to manufacture within their country, thus building a feeling of unity.
However, the embargo lasted for a little longer than a year and a half, yielding no positive results
for America. Jefferson himself was attacked and accused of resisting commercialism. It was soon
decided that foreign commerce was best for the country s economic welfare. As McCoy states, the
Jeffersonians were presented with two options: ... accept the failure of peaceable coercion to
remove restrictions on American commerce and submit to the British orders in council, or they
could attempt, through military means, a forcible assertion of America s right to an independent
and unrestricted access to

exercises were not implemented until after the proximal base had been established. The closed
chain rotator cuff exercise performed included humeral head depressions and rotations on a ball,
wall washes , and punches. As for rehab for the SICK scapula, it was said that it must be

The Dangerous Everyday
There are things all around us that can be very dangerous and we might never know. Soaps and
detergents are one of those things. Acids and bases are everywhere but, there are two specific
types: Sulphuric Acid and Sodium Hydroxide which we use on a regular day bases. An acid
classifies a wide range of materials including Sulphuric acidand bases Sodium Hydroxide. When
manufacturing soaps they use SodiumHydroxide, and detergents use Sulphuric Acid. But these two
can be very poisonous, and there are many symptoms that may happen, some even severe. The title
shows how much people may be using dangerous things without having the knowledge that they
can harm them.
Acid and bases can be found in our everyday lives. An acid is a compound that usually has a sour
taste, containing hydrogen that can be replaced by a metal to form salt. Bases taste bitter and feel
slippery, their water solution conducts and electric currents. When acids and bases are put together
they make salt and water. The Arrhenius theory states that acids are substances which produce
hydrogen ions in a solution and bases are substances in which produce hydroxide ions in a
solution. Neutralization happens when hydrogen ions and hydroxide ions produce water.
Something we use every is soaps, detergents and fertilizers, all of these have acids and bases. The
manufacturing of soaps use the base Sodium hydroxide and the detergent and fertilizer use
Sulphuric acid. Sodium hydroxide is a white solid,

According to Wikipedia.com, software testing, depending on the testing method employed, can be
implemented at any time in the development process. Traditionally most of the test effort occurs
after the requirements have been defined and the coding process has been completed, but in the
agile approaches most of the test effort is on going. As such, the methodology of the test is
governed by the chosen software development methodology.
The process of testing, is normally preceded by strategic coding by programmers, who normally
initiate software testing as they write codes. This most naturally, is dependent on the testing method
employed, and may be implemented at any point during the development process.
Because of the urgency for this application, it is recommended that Riordan
Manufacturing, take advantage of a more traditional model, where most of the test execution
occurs after each module is defined and coded, and after the coding process has been completed.

Healthcare System Is A Fundamental Right For An Individual
Introduction Health is one of the global challenges for humanity. According to the constitutions of
World Health Organization (WHO) the highest attainable standard of health is a fundamental right
for an individual. Healthy individuals lead to secure their lifetime income and hence to increase in
gross domestic product and in tax revenues. Healthy individuals also reduce pressure on the already
overwhelmed hospitals, clinics, and medical professionals and reduce workload on the public safety
networks, charities, and governmental (or non governmental) organizations. To keep individuals
healthy an effective and readily accessible modern healthcare system is a prerequisite. Introduction
With the rapid increase of the older population coupled with that of its life span, the number of
patients who require monitoring also increases. Therefore, it is predicated that the cost of
hospitalization and patient care will rise worldwide. This includes patients who suffer sentinel
events associated with; incorrect medication, dosage inaccuracies, contraindications or critical
delays in interventions resulting in hospitalization. Health monitoring systems (HMS) can play a
significant role in reducing hospitalization, burden of medical staff, Consultation time, waiting lists
and overall healthcare costs. Health monitoring systems can be classified into three categories
which are identified below. Introduction REMOTE HEALTH MONITORING SYSTEMS (RHMS)

For thousands of years this tribe has thrived in this land, without the need for money, doctor

people, they have been surviving without the modern technology in medicine, without machine
driven construction of their homes and without farm hands and tractors to grow their food. They

force in the growth of our world today. People often forget that technology such as blood banks,

radio had exacted quite an influence on the American media. Advertisers capitalised on radio s
popularity and the idea of the sponsor was born. Radio also helped establish the national

popularity of radio began to decline at the hands of newer, more visual technologies. But the

  • 2. Strengths And Weaknesses Of Oral Communication Sender: this refers to the originator of the idea or the communicator. To be a good sender, you need to be clear about the message that you are sending. Typical questions to be answered at this level includes what do you want to communicate? and why are you communicating? Failure to address these two issues properly at the start may increase the chances of failing with respect to the whole communicationprocess. As a sender you may use symbols that express your message and create the desired response. Message: this is the intended information to be passed on or communicated. Without a message, there should not even be the need to communicate at all. It has to be properly summarised as and when necessary to ensure that it is well understood. The message should meet five basic criteria. It should be clear, complete, and correct, save reader s time, and it should build goodwill. o It s clear: the receiver ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The type of message you wish to communicate to a large extent determines the method to be used to pass it on. In organisations, oral communication can be in the form of face to face discussions, presentations, audio tapes, telephone calls or video conferencing, and written methods such as letters, reports, bulletins, job descriptions, posters, notes, employee manuals and memorandum. Decoding: this is what happens upon receiving the information. It is the breaking down of the information by the receiver to a level that will enhance understanding. It is greatly influenced by factors such as the ability to read and comprehend, listen carefully and asking questions and clarifications as and when necessary. Should there be any form of misunderstanding with respect to the information by the receiver, the source/sender will need to re send the information, this time, using a different method or additional details to enhance proper understanding by the ... • 3. Why Was The Scottsboro Boys Trial Unfair The Scottsboro boys trial took place in March of 1931, a trial that was dictated by race and not by actions. The accusations were faulty, as was the evidence. Yet the boys were all sentenced for death or life imprisonment. The trial was unfair at least, the nine black boys were in the wrong place at the wrong time. The boys were riding a train to find work and instead got into a fight with some of the white men on the train. The police were called and they came. Two women were also in the train car and out of fear they reported they had been raped by the black men. The black men were then arrested and taken out at gunpoint. They were put on trial a few days later. The trial began in 1933, and it was ruled by race only. The first trail every ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Practice Of Polygamy Throughout A Wealthy Family In a wealthy family, polygamous housing consists of a separate housing unit for each wife and her children (Metz, 1993). These units can be separate houses or houses within a walled family compound (Metz, 1993). A compound can include a separate house that the men of the family share and use for male gatherings, such as meals with guests or business meetings (Metz, 1993). The practice of polygamy is decreasing significantly due to urbanization, education, development, and the cost of living (Al Saif, 1997). Generally, educated and employed women have more independence and reject polygamy as a part of their marriage expectations. Gharaib (1991) found that 86.8% of husbands in the Gulf (Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia) have only one wife, 9.6% have two wives, 1.1% has three wives and 0.33% only has four wives; 74.7% had married their relatives; and 25.5% live with their extended families. Al Saif (1997) found that in Saudi Arabia, only 4.8% of parents approves of their daughters marrying a husband who has another wife. This rate is much lower than the previous rate of 14.5% (Al Saif, 1997). Traditionally the decision to marry made mainly by both families and marriage is often contracted by agreement amongst families in order to expand their circle of alliances and enhance their prestige (Metz, 1993). A partner is chosen by a person s family, not based on the Western concept of romantic love (Metz, 1993). A woman s opinion may be respected ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Comparing Nature And Nature In Julius Caesar man (2315). The narrator compares Nature to the natives, in order to emphasize the concept of purity, which inherently goes hand in hand with the Adam and Eve reference. This comparison to nature, portrays the vulnerability of the natives, by using Nature as a way to symbolize a modest way of life that God had first intended for Adam and Eve in paradise. Consequently, the terms used to describe Nature, such as harmless, inoffensive, virtuous can also be used to refer to the native people, prior to the devastation caused by the European colonizers. Additionally, the comparison to nature also enhances the natural state of the natives and how she is something that must be admired and protected in order to make the most of its existence. The narrator openly admits the erroneous ways of Europeans, by claiming that the invaders could have learned far more from the natives than all the inventions of man, which exposes the barbarity of European intervention. Despite coming to the realization that both cultures can learn a lot from each other, the narrator merely conveys the extent of the natives purity and continues to document the varying degrees of oppression. Ultimately, Behn signifies the shift of power when Mr. Trefrey changes Oroonokos name to Caesar and the narrator follows through with this oppressive gesture, by calling him Caesar until the end of his narrative. The name change foreshadows Oroonoko s tragic death, but also serves as a representation of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. When Art And Religion Collide Nelson Gonzalez ENG 125 Prof. Michael Amey When Art and Religion Collide: My Name is Asher Lev My Name is Asher Lev, by Chaim Potok, tells a story about a Hasid, young man driven by a great passion: drawing. The character Asher Lev is presented within a Hasidic, Jewish community. These Hasidic communities are very conservative in many aspects; they care deeply and influence their members in a lot of decisions they make in life. The Rebbes of the Jews is the man whose members of the community go to quite often for advice, as Asher s uncle Yitzchok said to Aryeh, People go to the Rebbe because they have a cold (30). The relevance of the Rebbe is shown in very early stages of the book when, for example, Asher s father explains to him how ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Asher s personality is very intelligently described in the beginning of the book, when he argues with his dad that drawing is not foolishness (12). He also tends to talk back to his authorities, and often expresses his disagreements towards their ideas. This sort of behavior is very unusual for a boy his age, coming from Hasid traditions. Asher is very curious, constantly asking questions, to the point where it can be of irritation to his father. He sees the world differently, and he draws it as such. As a young boy, his mother asks Asher to draw the world prettier , but he refused. He claims that the world is not beautiful to him, and therefore he won t draw it as such. This almost rebel like behavior isn t generally accepted in Asher s community. He doesn t want to follow the standards that are set and that he s told he should follow, but he d rather express his art as he sees it to be the most representative. Asher has a profound connection with art, even in early stages of his childhood. It is his way of interacting with the world around him, his form of expression. Asher s way of seeing the world generally doesn t align with how his authorities want him to see it. At first, it is his mother who asks him to draw the world prettier , but he refuses, and later when he draws the pictures for the Mashpia. The drawings for the Mashpia are significant because they represent how much art really meant to Asher. Drawing those pictures made him ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Essay about Explanations of Personality Development Explanations of Personality Development According to Sigmund Freud, what we do and why we do it, who we are and how we became this way are all related to our sexual drive. Differences in personalities originate in differences in childhood sexual experiences. In the Freudian psychoanalytical model, child personality development is discussed in terms of psychosexual stages . In his Three Essays on Sexuality (1915), Freud outlined five stages of manifestations of the sexual drive: Oral, Anal, Phallic, Latency, and Genital. At each stage, different areas of the child s body become the focus of his pleasure and the principal source of sexual arousal. Differences in satisfying the sexual urges at each ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The superego is the Freudian structure of personality that is the moral branch of personality. The superego takes into account whether something is right or wrong. The superego as what we often refer to as our conscience. During the oral stage (birth to 18 months), the child if focused on oral pleasures (e.g. sucking). Too much or too little gratification can result in an Oral Fixation or Oral Personality, which is evidenced by an obsession with oral activities. This type of personality may have a stronger tendency to smoke, drink alcohol, over eat, or bite his or her nails. Personality wise, these individuals may become overly dependent upon others, gullible, and group followers. On the other hand, they may also fight these urges and develop negative personalities and aggression toward others. In the Anal Stage (18 months to three years), the child s focus of pleasure is on eliminating and retaining faeces. Through society s pressure, mainly via parents, the child has to learn to control anal stimulation. In terms of personality, after effects of an anal fixation during this stage can result in an obsession with cleanliness, perfection, and control (anal retentive). On the opposite end of the spectrum, they may become messy and disorganized (anal expulsive). The pleasure zone in Phallic Stage (ages three to six) switches to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Impact Of Opt Out Systems IMPACT OF OPT OUT SYSTEMS The Taskforce consider opting out information to be more sensitive in nature than information provided by opting in Organ Donation Register ( Organ Donation Taskforce , 20). The current is based on an open access website with an electronic register that is available to all hospital staff. In an opt out system, not registering in this register may mean that someone s organs may be taken when they have had a serious objection to this. Theoretically, it is possible for someone to re enter someone s name on the register without them knowing, although there is no evidence to suggest that this will happen on a wide scale. This is why some may argue that an opt out system would require far greater security due to the sensitive nature of the information. This information could be accommodated on the Personal Demographics Service ( Organ Donation Taskforce , 2008) but entering all this data would be a drain on the NHS resources especially at the start of an opt out system which would involve entering the data of several million people. People may also choose to be increasingly specific about which organs or tissues they choose to donate as medicine advances so the framework required for would be rather complex. This would also take a large toll on the funds provided to the NHS with the costs of for the setup of IT and communications approximating to ВЈ45 million. An additional ВЈ5 million per year is needed to refresh public messages and an estimated ВЈ10 ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I shall induce anti semites to liquidate Jewish wealth. The anti semites will assist us thereby in that they will strengthen the persecution and oppression of Jews. Social enterprises provide jobs for hundreds of thousands of people in the various fields: food production, marketing, credit, insurance, and transportation. The social enterprises open a variety of employment opportunities for the people with disabilities, marginalized groups, youth, and women. In many countries the social enterprises are working closely together with the governmental organizations, both at national and local level. Today, entrepreneurs and enterprises with social responsibility around the world receive support from the non profit organizations, foundations, governments, and individuals. However, despite the fact that the benefits of social entrepreneurship are clear to many, there are many difficulties with its development. There is still not reached a consensus on what social enterpriseis and who can be called a social entrepreneur. Some believe that the term social entrepreneur must refer only to the founding organizations, the main source of income of which is the payment of their clients. Peak Power Reduction by controlling clock using path clustering Sindhu V1 and Mr.P.Nagarajan2 1PG Scholar, Dept of ECE, Vivekanandha College of Engineering for Women, ssshaadhu@gmail.com 2Assistant professor,Dept of ECE, Vivekanandha college of engineering for Women ,greennagarajan@gmail.com Abstract Power reduction is an major challenge in the integrated circuit design since it degrades the chip performance the reliability. Frequent transistor switching caused due to large IR voltage drops gives raise to timing violations and logic failures. A new clock control strategy is been introduced in this paper such that the simultaneous switching of the combinational paths is minimized. This is achieved by clustering the delay slacks having similar slack values. Once the paths are identified based on the path delays and their slack values the clustering algorithm determines the path to clusters in a load balanced manner based on the slack values and each cluster will have a phase shift possible on its clock depending on the slack. INTRODUCTION Low power has emerged as a major goal in today s electronics industry. The motivations for reducing power consumption differ from application to application. For high performance, portable computers, such as laptop and notebook computers, the goal is to reduce the power dissipation of the electronics portion of the system to a point that is about half of the total power dissipation (including that of display and hard disk). Innovation In Construction Research Paper 2.3.Fusion of traditional and innovative technologies In order for innovation to take place, there is a need to examine how traditional approaches can be synthesized with new technologies, in order to attain the most efficient way possible of performing tasks. The overlapping can be minimal, in that only a small percentage of the new technologies are taken on board, to aid or make employing the traditional process more efficient; or it can be total, in that the whole approach to the process or system is overhauled to make way for the new technologies. The Merriam Webster Online dictionary (2007) defined innovation as the introduction of something new or a new idea, method or device. [45] Innovation in construction, therefore, happens ... Some construction processes such as the installation of building components are easier to automate as opposed to, say, substructure or building foundation works. In this case, the drive to innovate is facilitated by the relatively straightforward technological process that is already in place within this area. • 33. Persuasive Essay On Into The Wild Understanding oneself is one of the most important factors in living a free life, and living on the road can be a big part of this process. In the novel, Into The Wild, Jon Krakauer writes about a boy who ventures into the wilderness and inevitably learns more about himself on a journey right before he dies. In order to avoid his problematic family, Chris McCandless journeys into danger where he meets people who help him learn more about the world. Although he does eventually meet his end in Alaska, he leaves the world without worries or regrets. By living on the road and in nature, Mccandless is able to live the life that he wants and be free from the clutches of society. While living on the road can prove fatal, it allows a person to find themselves and avoid the problems of society; therefore, people should look to nature in order to better understand themselves. By living in nature, a person is able to truly understand what they want in life, and how to achieve it. Nature allowed McCandless to reflect and understand that it was the place that he wanted to be submersed in. Similar to many romantics, McCandless was a person who saw the beauty in nature and wanted to experience it for himself. He was tired of society and all the pressure that was put upon him by it. McCandless states to his father, I ve decided that I m going to live this life for some times to come. The freedom and simple beauty of it is just too good to pass up (92). Even before he enters the wild, McCandless has a sense that living in the wild is what is right for him. He knows that he wants to be free within the plains of nature instead of being confined by the walls that his parents placed him in. After his adventures through the country during college, he eventually saw it best to give up everything and seek himself within nature. What Mccandless wants more than anything is to be free from his uneventful life with his family that had high expectations for him. By being in nature and on the road, he is able to achieve this because he has no real connections to society. By being given the possibility of entering the beautiful and simple space given by nature, nothing can stand in the way of Chris s dreams and aspirations. Although ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

An autonomous vehicle is a mode of transportation that does not need a person driving it. Cisco s Smart Connected Vehicles division has a hypothesis which states that autonomous cars could eliminate as 85 percent of head on collisions. One of the greatest problems that smart cars face is getting people to trust them. In a study conducted by Carlnsur, it found that 80 percent of people would not purchase a self driving car if they had the option, citing their main reason of opposition as a lack of trust in the computer to get them to their destination safely (Young). Furthermore, because the cars will be able to communicate with each other Cisco believes that the traffic would be lighter and therefore save drivers time spent in traffic. Henceforth, by cars spending less time in traffic there will be less carbon released into the air and fuel costs will decrease, which will lead to a more sustainable environment. Poland was such a country. The first nation invaded by Nazi Germany and the last to be liberated, the population of Polish Jewswas nearly eradicated. How were the Nazis able to accomplish such a feat in a nation where antisemitismhad not been as prevalent? Aside from forcibly introducing antisemitic policy into Poland, the Nazis relied on fear and self interest to accomplish their goals. For the average Polish Catholic in 1943, a decision had to be made on where they stood regarding the Jewish problem . Should they sit idly by and do nothing, or perhaps even assist in the capture of the Jews? Or maybe they could risk everything by hiding and otherwise aiding the Polish Jews. Battles raged on for roughly two and a half years, resulting in what many agree ended in a tie. What many disagree with is how the war came to fruition. The two research papers within Retrieving the American Past seek to connect the dots. Firstly, Reginald Horsman cites many concrete reasons behind the warfare: British impressment, calling back the return of American soldiers deemed responsible to serve in the Royal Navy, upon the American army, meddling with maritime trade between the States and European nations (notable France), and inciting or taking part in Indian attacks against the colonies.... McCoy speaks through the eyes of the Jeffersonian community, not the entire American population. Due to its smaller scope of the relevancy, Mccoy s paper is less effective than Horsman s. Drew McCoy s paper includes much more depth into the Jeffersonian mindset. The American economy depended largely on the exportation of farm grown items. Clearly, access to foreign markets is a must for success. These markets were made inaccessible by the presence of British ships scattered about the passageways to France and other European countries. Jeffersonians, peaceful by definition, suggested a lengthy embargo. This holdout would put pressure on Americans to manufacture within their country, thus building a feeling of unity. However, the embargo lasted for a little longer than a year and a half, yielding no positive results for America. Jefferson himself was attacked and accused of resisting commercialism. It was soon decided that foreign commerce was best for the country s economic welfare. An acid classifies a wide range of materials including Sulphuric acidand bases Sodium Hydroxide. When manufacturing soaps they use SodiumHydroxide, and detergents use Sulphuric Acid. But these two can be very poisonous, and there are many symptoms that may happen, some even severe. The title shows how much people may be using dangerous things without having the knowledge that they can harm them. Acid and bases can be found in our everyday lives. An acid is a compound that usually has a sour taste, containing hydrogen that can be replaced by a metal to form salt. Bases taste bitter and feel slippery, their water solution conducts and electric currents. When acids and bases are put together they make salt and water. The Arrhenius theory states that acids are substances which produce hydrogen ions in a solution and bases are substances in which produce hydroxide ions in a solution. Neutralization happens when hydrogen ions and hydroxide ions produce water. Something we use every is soaps, detergents and fertilizers, all of these have acids and bases. The manufacturing of soaps use the base Sodium hydroxide and the detergent and fertilizer use Sulphuric acid. Sodium hydroxide is a white solid, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As such, they should realize that the major overall problem with implementation is that complexities associated with it, usually occurs when the solution is deployed. Hence, many of the details of implementation must be planned ahead of time. The HR amp; IT departments cannot start planning for implementation at the same time that the actually implementing is occurring. According to Wikipedia.com, software testing, depending on the testing method employed, can be implemented at any time in the development process. Traditionally most of the test effort occurs after the requirements have been defined and the coding process has been completed, but in the agile approaches most of the test effort is on going. As such, the methodology of the test is governed by the chosen software development methodology. The process of testing, is normally preceded by strategic coding by programmers, who normally initiate software testing as they write codes. This most naturally, is dependent on the testing method employed, and may be implemented at any point during the development process. Because of the urgency for this application, it is recommended that Riordan Manufacturing, take advantage of a more traditional model, where most of the test execution occurs after each module is defined and coded, and after the coding process has been completed. • 52. Healthcare System Is A Fundamental Right For An Individual Introduction Health is one of the global challenges for humanity. According to the constitutions of World Health Organization (WHO) the highest attainable standard of health is a fundamental right for an individual. Healthy individuals lead to secure their lifetime income and hence to increase in gross domestic product and in tax revenues. Healthy individuals also reduce pressure on the already overwhelmed hospitals, clinics, and medical professionals and reduce workload on the public safety networks, charities, and governmental (or non governmental) organizations. To keep individuals healthy an effective and readily accessible modern healthcare system is a prerequisite. Introduction With the rapid increase of the older population coupled with that of its life span, the number of patients who require monitoring also increases. Therefore, it is predicated that the cost of hospitalization and patient care will rise worldwide. This includes patients who suffer sentinel events associated with; incorrect medication, dosage inaccuracies, contraindications or critical delays in interventions resulting in hospitalization. Health monitoring systems (HMS) can play a significant role in reducing hospitalization, burden of medical staff, Consultation time, waiting lists and overall healthcare costs. Health monitoring systems can be classified into three categories which are identified below. Introduction REMOTE HEALTH MONITORING SYSTEMS (RHMS) REFER TO ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Colney and Pitts are planning to set up a manufacturing plant near the Aberdares mountain range in the eastern highlands of Kenya. Their main purpose is to use this facility to manufacture medications for prostate cancer. Located in the Aberdares Mountain is a native tribe called The Kikuyu. After much research and extensive surveying of the area, it was determined that a type of evergreen tree known as pygeum or prunus Africana, is used by the tribes people to cure what they refer to as old men s disease . We would commonly know this as prostatitis and genitourinary disorders. The species has ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some of their ideas are that the government should give a full time doctor and medical facility to the disposal of the tribe, also to provide them work within the plant and a paycheck every week. Another option is to lay down roads that connect the region to the mainland and then provide permanent housing for all members of the tribe. Unfortunately, many African governments are known for being unfair and uncivilized, and even corrupt, so how are we to know that they Kiyuku tribe would ever see any of the money or other benefits they are being offered? What is to say they don t keep the money for themselves and give away the housing and medical to other civilians in the country and not the tribe people? Many people are lead to wonder if the tribal leaders are fully aware of the ramifications tied to the plans that Colney and Pitts are offering them. For thousands of years this tribe has thrived in this land, without the need for money, doctor training, permanent housing. One thing is perfectly career with regards to the Kiyuku and its people, they have been surviving without the modern technology in medicine, without machine driven construction of their homes and without farm hands and tractors to grow their food. They have been surviving strong with the same skills that started with their people hundreds of years ago. So at the end of the day, one may not believe that the Kikuyu tribe will suffer the most ... People often forget that technology such as blood banks, radios, and radars weren t easy to use as they are now. Within this paper I am going to discuss how blood banks came about and evolved in the medical industry, how radios entertained and help send messages to the public, and how radars were introduced to the war. A blood transfusion is a safe, common procedure in which blood is given to you through an intravenous (IV) line in one of your blood vessels. ( What Is a Blood Transfusion? NHLBI, NIH.
