Aquinas Weaknesses
In Core Questions in Philosophy, Sober describes the first two ways of Aquinas for the existence of
God as a division of causation. In this paper, I will examine the first two arguments of Aquinas, while
each has its weakness, the weaknesses outweigh the strengths. The first argument comes with the
weakness of not being able to survive modern physics. Whereas, the second argument delivers the
weakness of the conclusion not following the proposition. Combined, I believe that both arguments do
not exhibit strengths in their form and verification. Despite both arguments, not having strengths, they
both showcase a combined weakness of the birthday fallacy. Overall, both arguments have valid and
strong weaknesses, but no strengths amongst them. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Aquinas s method does not realize that there is exactly one event/motion that sets all chains in the
natural world, he rather shows that there is at least one event/motion. Both arguments share a common
weakness of not showing there is exactly one first cause, but it rather shows that there is at least one.
If we were to show that there is exactly one first cause, this would cause the birthday fallacy which is
invalid. Additionally, I would like to say that there are no strengths exhibiting the first two arguments
of Aquinas. Perhaps, I say this as there are many flaws within both arguments and the strengths were
quite unnoticeable to me, but each line in the argument has flaws, which to me, concluded that there
are no

Assyrian Empire Essay
For a few centuries after the death of Shamshi Adad I, Assyrian cities were subjugated by a succession
of outsiders: Babylonians under Hammurabi, Hittites and Mitanni Hurrians. From 1791 to 1360 A.D.
control over Assyria passed back and forth, although Assyria itself remained more or less stable. After
a power struggle between the Hittites and Mitanni, the Hittites successfully broke the power of the
Mitanni in the region. Assyria then began to take control over territories that had belonged to Mitanni.
The Hittites battled with the Assyrians, but the Assyrian king Ashur Uballit stamped out any
remaining Mitanni or Hittite control over northern Mesopotamia.
The Middle Empire
King Ashur Uballit, who ruled from c. 1353 to 1318 B.C., succeeded in gathering all former Mitanni
regions under his control. He also battled the Hurrians, Hittites and the Kassite king of Babylon. Ashur
Uballit married his daughter to the Babylonian king, angering the Babylonian people. They promptly
slew the king and replaced him with a pretender to the throne. King Ashur Uballit then invaded
Babylon, killed the pretender and placed another Kassite royal on the throne. King Ashur Uballit
solidified his power by conquering any remaining Hittite or Mitanni rulers, finally taking ... Show

King Adad Nirari implemented the policy of deportation of segments of the population from one
region to another, which remained a standard Assyrian policy from then on. This policy was meant to
head off any uprisings or rebellions by moving the potentially rebellious to other regions of the
Assyrian empire. Although the deportees found their lives disrupted, the Assyrian intention was not to
harm the people, but to make the best use of their talents where their skills were needed. Families

Phishing Is A Social Engineering Luring Technique
Phishing is a social engineering luring technique, in which an attacker aims to steal sensitive
information such as credit card information and online banking passwords from users. Phishing is
carried over electronic communications such as email or instant messaging. In this technique, a replica
of the legitimate sites is created, and the users are directed to the Phishing pages where it s required
for the personal information.
As phishing remains a significant criminal activity that causes great loss of money and personal data.
In respond to these threats, a variety of Anti Phishing tools was released by software vendors and
companies. The Phishing detection technique used by industries mainly includes attack tracing, report
generating filtering, analysing, authentication, report making and network law enforcement. The
toolbars like spoof guard, trust watch, spoof stick and Net craft are some of the most popular Anti
Phishing toolbars services that are used. The W3C has set some standards that are followed by most of
the legit websites, but the phishing site may not develop these standards. There are certain
characteristics of URL and source code of the Phishing site based on which we can guess the fake site.
The goal of this paper is to compare different methods that are used to determine the phishing web
pages to safeguard the web users from attackers. In [2] lexical signature is extracted from a given web

Globalization of Markets. Harvard business review pg 92 102 The author asserts in this journal to
understand the two vectors shape the world technology and globalization. The first helps determine
human preferences, the second, economic realities. The global companies systematically push these
vectors toward their own convergence, offering everyone simultaneously high quality, more or less
standardized products at low prices. Technology is a powerful force that has driven the world towards

The article is divided into four parts. First part focuses on the traditional perspective on international
marketing strategies focusing on the dichotomy between standardization and adaptation. The second
part examines key assumptions underlying the philosophy of global standardization. The third part
focuses on the constraints to implementation of global standardization. The last part of the article
concludes on the bases of its review that a more general approach is suitable which incorporates
various degrees of standardization or adaptation strategies. It is an important article as it concludes
that an effective global marketing strategy does not guarantee the marketing of standardized products
and global brands worldwide. It might work for some companies but cannot work for all. Peng M.W.,

Hawaii is an very tropical and warm place and the best for a perfect vacation spot. It is not only
beautiful and tranquil but is also extremely fun, and the perfect trip for kids and adults. The wide
range of activities and beaches makes the possibilities endless and an amazing time for people of all
ages. When thinking about where to stay in Hawaii the Four Seasons Resort in Maui, Hawaii has
proven to be the best choice. This amazing resort is in the perfect spot on the island because of it
breathtaking coral reefs along the shore, where you can snorkel, and it close proximity to many highly
rated restaurants. The service at the resort is very fast and the people are amazingly nice. You will also

The Power Of The Prime Minister Has Too Much Power
Introduction One of the most powerful and influential members of the Canadian government is the
Prime Minster of Canada. It has been stated that the Prime Minister of Canada has far more power
within the Canadian system of government than the President of America has in the American System
(Caron, 2017). This excess power the Prime Minister has when compared to the President of American
shows the difference ranges of power top leaders can have in their specific country. However, is the
amount of power the Prime Minister has in Canada too much? To determine if the Prime Minister has
too much power there are a few things that need to be considered. The first is the responsibilities of
the Prime Minister and the power these responsibly give the position. Looking at how much power the
Prime Minister has in relation to the amount of responsibilities placed on that government role will
give insights into the necessities of that power. Next, reviewing the history of powers the Prime
Minister has over the years will show a timeline of a gradual increase in power. Finally, to determine
if the Prime Minister has too much power recent events must be discussed in which the Prime Minister
has abused their powers. To fully understand how the amount of power the Prime Minister has can
impact the government, there will be a focus on one specific example of who calls elections
throughout. Overall, in examining the responsibilities and powers of the Prime Minister in relation to

Lincoln s Failure
Realizing that you ve failed something is hard to do. No one wants to accept defeat, and that s a flaw
that most people have. Failure isn t always negative. However, it isn t always easy to apply this
concept to your own situation either. When we think of failing, we think of not being good enough or
not having the qualities needed to improve. We look down upon failure and defeat instead of seeing
the raw potential it holds. If you feel hopeless when your goal isn t accomplished the way you wanted
it to be, there is no need to worry: it s extremely natural to lose motivation when you re standing face
to face with disappointment or negativity. What you do have to keep in mind is that recovery can t be
reached without considering three major points: conviction, value, and motivation. Each failure is
filled with more ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The best way is to take a glance someone else s failure. You can compare your own to theirs, and
while doing so you should keep an eye out for their recovery. We all know that Abraham Lincoln was
one of the greatest president s the United States has ever seen, but have you ever considered his
backstory? From 1816 to 1860, he held a long lasting losing streak: our great leader was in a slump
that he couldn t find a way to escape from. Burdened with the deaths of various loved ones, nervous
breakdowns, rejection and losses, Lincoln would be expected to give up. It would be very hard for any
normal person to go through as much as he did and still make it out alive. He lost eight different times
before he would even become the president of our country. Finding the strength within himself, he
continuously used it to get up, brush the dirt off his shoulder, and learn from his mistakes. Without
conviction and purpose, he would have never been able to find the potential within each obstacle he
faced. But he had exactly what he needed to persist and benefit from his

Animal Cloning Extinct Animals
My research is about the art of cloning cloning includes all things that are living. People have created
a way to clone things. What they have to do is they have to get a mature somatic cell from what they
wish to copy then they put the somatic cell in an egg cell that has its nucleus removed.Scientists have
created a lot of things from a big deer to a tiny little mouse and they are all cloned from the process
that I had mentioned at the top. They are also able to clone a lot more things than just those that I had
mentioned it is even a possibility that they could clone humans and have they already no one knows
only the people that have created them.
Cloning Extinct Animals
There are a lot of animals that are going extinct every day and there might be a way to not stop it but
we could clone the animals that are starting to go extinct. When we clone them we could have more of
those extinct animals. The way scientists or other people who wish to clone could clone animals that
are already extinct
Is that if we have some type of DNA of that animal we could do the same process that they use to
clone animals and that will clone that animal that is extinct and they could reproduce more
animals. Then they will be able to protect them and there won t be that much extinct animals. The
process that they use is called interspecies nuclear transfer and that is what they call it when they
clone an endangered animal. They way that it works is the same way they clone any other living thing

Taking a Look at Edith Cavell
Edith Cavell was born in 1865 at Swardeston in Norfolk. Her father, Frederick Cavell, was a Church
of England vicar there. Even though her family was quite poor, Edith had a good childhood memory
playing with her father, brothers and sisters. At her young age, she was taught to share what she had
with others. The family Sunday lunch was always divided in half to give for the poor villagers. Edith
and her mother also liked to visit the poor and she became a Sunday School teacher and Godmother to
some of the poorer children in her hometown.
Her interest in caring for others and belief in humanity influenced her to become a fun, smiling and
kind governess, looking after the young children in New England. Then, Edith decided to travel for a
few weeks in Austria and Bavaria where she came across a free hospital, run by a Dr. Wolfenberg. She
was so impressed by it that she donated some of her money to keep it up. That also helped her interest
in nursing aroused. When Edith returned to Swardeston to nurse her sick father, what she experienced
really convinced her to follow the nursing career in 1896.
It was interesting to know that even though nursing was a very old and necessary occupation, it was
not considered as a proper profession until the mid 19th century. It is because from medieval times,
the main source of nurses was the nuns but they were never trained professionally. At the time Edith
pursuing her career, the nursing work was very hard. The hours were as long as from

Transitioning For A Child
The process of transitioning for a student who is approaching transition age is important because a
child is moving on to their next phase in life and that can be difficult, even for a child without ID.
However, a child that has ID needs to have steps and guidance in order to be prepared for what is to
come. A child with disabilities will fail or even fall beyond if certain things are not in place.
In order for the student to succeed the educational system must provide transition services which
should be tailored to the student and their needs. What this looks like is having annual goals and

The New Method Of The Creation Of Savior
Critics argue that permitting the creation of savior siblings through PGD is the first step down a
slippery slope that ends with frivolous reasons for selecting an embryo over another. The procedure
would open the door for parents to decide on specific characteristics of their babies. This is the
creation of fully fledged designer babies . As in the words of Josephine Quintavalle , the new
technique is a dangerous first step towards allowing parents to use embryo testing to choose other
characteristics of the baby, such as eye color and sex . For this reason, the creation of savior sibling is
ethically impermissible since if one supports savior sibling, it is impossible to not support the
permissibility of designer babies. This argument ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, there is no reason why there cannot be a special process that allows selection for a certain
purpose and not others. It is distinctly different selecting for a specific HLA match to save the life of a
dying child and selecting for the color of a baby s eyes. One ought to accept that savior siblings and
other designer babies are morally different, and therefore, one can support the idea of a savior sibling
while rejecting the concept of a designer baby. In the case of the former, the prima facie case saving a
life, as concluded by Sheldon and Wilkinson, for permitting savior siblings selection is much stronger
than permitting designer babies because there is an important reason for the first but not for the second
(535). The value of a person s life is of much greater value the color of another s eyes or hair or their
height and weight. Therefore, the cases ought to be viewed differently, even if there is a slope there is
no reason to believe that there will be a slide and there are important differences between savior
siblings and designer babies which the slippery slope argument overlooks (Sheldon and Wilkinson
535). At the same time, one cannot be naïve and fail to think that there are real issues that are morally
questionable lurking with the possibility of allowing savior siblings. In the following section, I will
look at the question of what

twin engine, which is the company standard to this day. Harley Davidson motorcycles were found to
be useful during World War I, where they supplied 20,000 to the military. After this war, the
depression threatened the motorcycle industry, and Harley Davidson and Indian were the only ones to
survive through the 1930 s. Then during the Second World War they found themselves in the light
again, this time supplying 90,000 motorcycles. In 1953 their competitor, Indian closed and ... Show

Marketing and Distribution There are 630 Harley Davidson dealers in the United States that offer full
service. Marketing is done through dealer promotions, magazines and direct mail advertising,
customer events, and public relations. Some important events that this company participates in are
sponsored racing activities, special promotional events, rallies and most importantly they participate in
all the major motorcycle consumer shows, which draw in many potential customers and loyal
customers. HOG is the Harley Owners Group which was established in 1983, and currently has
750,000 members worldwide and happens to be the biggest company sponsored motorcycle
organization. The BRAG, Buell Riders Adventure Group was formed in past years and has
approximately 10,000 members. Both of these groups sponsor events such as rallies, and rides across
the United States and around the world. Recently Harley has decided to market the people that are the
nonriding public. In an attempt to capture this market they have licensed their name with the
production of t shirts, jewelry, small leather goods, toys and other products. There are also two Harley

November 17, 2015 Introduction
This paper will analyze the key legal issues with respect to legalizing self driving cars in the United
States of America. The legal issues to be analyzed will include...
How many people say they would buy a self driving car (Statista)
Percentage of accidents attributed to human error (NHTSA Report)
Researchers estimate that driverless cars could, by midcentury, reduce traffic fatalities by up to 90
percent. (McKinsey Report) Which means that, using the number of fatalities in 2013 as a baseline,
self driving cars could save 29,447 lives a year. (Atlantic, 30000)
Liabilities around self driving cars also include potential negative economic effects, ethical arguments,
privacy and security, will not be considered due to space constraints
The technology is so new that the legal definitions of what constitutes a autonomous vehicle is still
being clarified

Rabbit Novella Carpenter
In Part 2 (Rabbit) Novella Carpenter learns just how precious food really is. Nico (Carpenter s friend
whom lived in a cabin in the woods) asked Carpenter to bunny sit , after her original sitter flaked out.
The idea of the bunnies was like a new drug at a party to Novella, exciting and thrilling. Overwhelmed
with the thought of learning to care for rabbits, Carpenter than hears Nico say, You know that
whatever you breed, you can eat, too, right? (104). While driving home with the bunnies, Carpenter
seemed less enthusiastic about breeding and eating them. Looking on the brighter side, Carpenter

Gollum s ring, Carpenter cared for her garden with importance. The biggest hurdle with her diet was
carbs. Carpenter had potatoes, but due to pest the plant failed to produce. She improvised by turning
dried decorative corn into cornmeal. This shows the desperate creativity people can have when
starving. Starvation also makes people preform bold tasks. An example of Carpenter s bold behavior
came when she reached over a neighbor s fence to sell bees. The diet adventure was not always bad.

Corruption In Canterbury Tales Essay
Bryson Miller
Ms. Morris
English 12 3rd
5 December 2016
Upper Class of Canterbury Tales
Some ill hearted people use corruption to achieve the highest place in society. Even in the 1600 s
Shakespeare writes about how corruption can shape a society. Corruption can cause an unbalance of
power in the wrong places. Geoffrey Chaucer writes about certain classes in the fourteenth century.
Chaucer uses the upper class in Canterbury Tales to show the importance of corruption through the
following characters: The Friar, the Pardoner, and the Summoner.
The Friar is a sneaky and evil beggar that associates with the upper class, which makes him part of the
corruption. He also enjoyed befriending comely young women and wealthy men, (Morgan) as he
made an art out of stealing people s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Summoner was known for knowing everything about everyone which really played to his
advantage. He could bring duress on any young fellow in the diocese. (114) The Summoner s job was
to summon people to the church for committing sins. Since he knew everything about everyone he
would accept bribes from people to revoke their summons. The Summoner has no hint of a personality
beyond [his] life of predatory malfeasance. (Salter) He devotes his life to corruptly earning money and
becoming as wealthy as he can. Making his way to the upper class, the Summoner destroys the church
system by using his power to help his finances. The Friar s, Pardoner s, and Summoner s power and
position in Canterbury Tales helps them corrupt their way to the top of the class. Each of these
characters have a common motive: wealth. Money seems to drive people to do things most people
would not do. The upper class of any society is usually the people with the most money. In order for
these characters to be in the upper class they had to use their power and position to their advantage.
This is how corrupt societies

Industrialization During The 19th Century
Life in the 19th century changed rapidly due to the influences of the industrial revolution, which lead
to the mass production of goods, making products more affordable for common people.
Industrialisation lead to urbanisation and more people flocked from rural areas to towns creating more
disease, and by the end of the 1800 s 80% of the population of Britain lived in cities. Steam powered
cotton factories supplied half of the world and coal mining, in areas such as Newcastle, expanded to
meet the demands of railway construction. Ship building increased and so did engineering. Farming
was still big and machinery was easier to use and faster. Craftsman, blacksmiths and carpenters could
be found in rural areas, and lace making was a popular industry there too. Factories were ill equipped
but the conditions were bad. Children were regularly used as they were ideal to do jobs in small spaces
and for cleaning. The state took over from the private, and law makers such as trade unions addressed
and improved working conditions, particularly child labour. The 1833 factory act improved conditions
for children and forbade factory owners from working children under 16 to work longer than 10 hours
each day, and that children under 13 years were to get at least 2 hours of education per day. There also
became a provide for inspectors. Working conditions continued to improve for the working poor,
especially children and in the 1840 s legislation forced factory owners to fence off dangerous

Examples Of Fatalism In The Breakfast Club
Is It Really Fate? There are 19 major world religions which are subdivided into a total of 270 large
religious groups, and many smaller ones. 34,000 separate Christian groups have been identified in the
world according to David Barrett. Religion is just faith or a belief system that people have. A belief
system that dates back to early times is, Fatalism. Still seen today in popular movies, books, T.V.
shows and other works of art, fatalism is the belief that, all things and events are inevitable. Movies
like: The Breakfast Club, Dirty Dancing, and Serendipity all show examples of how fatalism is still
real. In the movie, The Breakfast Club, which is based on five different high school students, all
meeting each other in detention. It is significant that they all different stereotypes because it later
shows how much they are truly alike although they are different. If in the movie, if the director would
have used the same type of students it would not have had the same effect, how everyone is brought to
one place by fate. Even though they student pour out their guts to each other and realize how much

Essay On Foreign Direct Investment
Conceptual Framework and profile of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Economic Growth in India
Foreign Direct Investment Foreign Direct Investment is the investment of a country domestic assets
into foreign structures, equipment and organizations, but does not include investment into stock
markets. Foreign direct investment reflects the objective of obtaining a lasting interest by a resident
entity in one economy (direct investor) in an entity resident in an economy other than that of the
investor (direct investment enterprise). The lasting interest implies the existence of a long term
relationship between the direct investor and the enterprise and a significant degree of influence on the
management of the enterprise. Direct investment involves both the initial transaction between the two
entities and all subsequent capital transactions between them and among affiliated enterprises, both
incorporated and unincorporated.
Foreign Direct Investment is investment involving a long term relationship and lasting interest in and
control by a resident entity in one economy in an enterprise resident in another economy. In FDI, the
investor exerts significant influence on the management of the enterprise resident in the other
economy.

Personal Information On The Bank s Data Warehouse Essay
As you can see, vast information is needed to supply the needs of the different customer segments.
Once identified as information needed, it s the Royal Bank s analytics duty to gather and mine
customer s data to fill the need. Some personal information is commonly given to financial institutions
for the purpose of opening accounts and tailoring their products to best fit their needs. This
information is called primary data, and includes examples such as address, social security number,
age, and employer. Primary data can also be accessed through the account history stored in Royal
Bank s data warehouse, which allows them to analyze trends and patterns from previous customers.
However, when targeting products or services to a certain niche, where do banks get information such
as family financial history, mean retirement age, saving/spending patterns, or lifestyle expectations?
This information is called secondary data and usually the bank incurs a cost to obtain. Avenues that
the CRM team could use to obtain this information are: purchasing sales records from a similar
organization, analyzing customer feedback published in an article or journal, or gathering data from a
book or other outside sources.
Referring back to the above diagram; the Youth, Nexus, and Builders/Borrowers segments all require a
hefty amount of primary data. This data would mainly be collected in a face to face setting, or in an
online survey when opening or inquiring about an account. This data

Building Healthier Relationships With Diverse Students
Looking at ways to build healthier relationships with the individuals you work with and interact with
on a daily basis, one can refer to a training model presented by Bernstein Yamashiro Noam. According
to Bernstein Yamashiro Noam (2013), helping administrators work with teachers to define boundaries
and relationships with students can help cultivate healthier relationships with their students.
Coinciding with this theory, Carlisle (2011), schools developed healthy relationships after receiving
proper training. The teachers, students, and staff, including the community, used a training model

For example, students whose cultural norms do not allow public assertiveness are viewed as
inadequate nursing students. Students felt a conflict between pleasing their faculty and maintaining
their own cultural identity. Students who try to meet the expectations of the dominant culture further
conflict when they feel rejected by their families, who do not approve of the changes occurring in
them (Patterson et al., 2004). Diverse students may choose to change their cultural practices and
behaviors in order to be accepted; however, at times, this is not possible. As a result, these students
may be forced to remain as the outsiders, fearful of challenging the status quo and struggling
throughout the course of their education. It is imperative that nursing faculty return to the core values
of the profession and apply the fundamental principle of caring to all students, not just those who
reflect characteristics similar to their own. The profession of nursing cannot be viewed as one of
cultural competence until educators realize that their students deserve the same culturally sensitive
treatment as their patients (DeBrew, J. K., Lewallen, L. P., Chun, E., 2014). In addition to the ethnic
and cultural struggles students face, in a study by Zaman (2008), it looked at gender sensitivity
training and whether early childhood students get adequate training. When receiving gender sensitivity
training the students engaged in self reflection about their attitudes and expectations toward boys and
the effect those attitudes had on their teaching, resulting in less biased interactions. For instance, an
area of sensitivity training for mental health professionals can be sexual orientation preference. In an
intervention study conducted by Israel, Willging, and Ley (2016),

Compare And Contrast The Dependency Theory And The World...
Dependency Theory and The World System Approach The dependency theory and the world system
approach are from the most remarkable approaches to the study of Comparative Politics. At the first
half of the twentieth century traditional approaches like the formal legal approach dominated the field
however later during the 60s the political development approach was the most dominant one. However
the Vietnam War along with other events like Watergate, the assassination of Robert Kennedy and the
Cold War can be considered a turning point in the history of the study as it gave rise to many
alternatives to political development including the dependency theory and the world system approach.
The Dependency theory was especially popular among leftist scholars, the theory supposes that
development in the third world countries is dependent on development in the already developed
nations however sometimes there might be a conflict between the two processes. It supposes that the

The Healthcare System Of The United States
There is a war in the United States, it is ragging against its healthcare and the people who are suffering
are Medicare recipients, Medicaid recipients, and the uninsured. Those who have the money and those
who hold the power to wield the proverbial stick are controlling this war. Laws of the government are
impeded by incidental bureaucratic bullies who think that as a Republican or a Democrat, they have
the right to not consider a bill that would help healthcare because they would have more votes that the
other. Lives are being lost in the ensuing battle on pretense that one of them might actually care about
saving innocent lives. What works in the healthcare system and what doesn t work in the healthcare
system has been tried and tested and try as we must, there are clear plans to make a lot of
improvements in the US practice. We in the US have a history of introducing universal health care,
only to leave it with a system made up of our government, that pays for over one half of the nations
health care. If we can control the cost of healthcare spending we would beat this system. Our
healthcare costs have spiraled out of control because of Unemployment which has caused severe
impoverishment across the United States. Without jobs the people are stuck with not having money to
buy food, or money to pay for medications and most of all money to go to the doctor for treatment.

The Flaws Of State Led Humanitarianism
Since the turn of the century, the world has experienced various events that have rendered millions
homeless, starving or even without a country. Such events may range from merciless persecution by a
ruthless dictator to a furious tsunami that leaves destruction in its wake. In such incidents, it is human
nature to help those affected rebuild their lives and find comfort again. As a result, governments spend
billions on foreign aid projects aimed at helping populations rebuild themselves after a tragic event.
Despite the funding and resources spent on these projects, their success rate is dismal. Coyne s book
explains the flaws of state led humanitarianism. Using case studies that range from Afghanistan to
Haiti, Coyne successfully argues against state aid proving that continuing with that approach is likely
to remain unsuccessful. He further demonstrates that state aid fails to fulfill its mandate because the
parties involved are either too arrogant or ignorant to acknowledge fundamental flaws of state led aid.
He says that the influence of agenda driven opinions of blurs the objectives of financial assistance
from the beginning. Since governments focus on what they should, rather than what they can do, the
goals of the most aid funded projects in affected nations remain unrealized. In my opinion, Coyne s
work is very convincing because it methodically shows how aid moves from a state agency to the
project in question and the various parties in the middle that take away

The Wines Of Spain ( California )
The Wines of Spain
During my young and foolish years, I was a confirmed wine snob; at least as it applied to the red
wines I drank. If they didn?t come from Bordeaux, France, I didn?t consider them worthy. Typically,
my purchases would feature wines from M?doc, Margaux, Pauillac, Saint Emilion, Pomerol and
Graves. This all changed in my late forties, I was gifted with several bottles of red wine from various
countries including Australia, Chile and the United States (California). Begrudgingly, I accepted the
fact that good red wine needn?t come from France.
This oenophilia did not preclude my consumption of ?inferior? wines; it merely dispatched them to a
list of wines I would never consider buying for myself. I assumed that if I couldn?t ... Show more

Nevertheless, despite my experience in Colorado, I did start expanding my horizons with red wines
until my forties.
I had learned of the pleasures of the red wines from Piedmont, Italy. The incredible richness of
Australian Shiraz proved it as an acceptable alternative to its Rhone Valley cousin. However, it took
another experience with Rioja in my early fifties to start my exploration of Spanish wines.
Overview
To do justice to the subject of Spanish wines requires more than a single post, coverage befitting the
third largest producer of wine, behind France and Italy, simply cannot be done within the limits of a
single short article and summarization does a disservice to the exceptional wine making reputation of
Spain?s dedicated vintners.
Any worthwhile discussion of Spain?s wine making needs to include, at a minimum, an overview of
the wine making regulations, under which vintners operate, the labeling requirements and what that
means that means to consumers. After ?lo these concepts are covered, a discussion of the wine
growing areas, the grape varietals and the resulting wines produces a sharper picture of Spain?s wines.
A Brief Historical Perspective
Spain has been growing grapes and making wine for centuries, with traditions as reputable as from
any of the other European wine countries. However, the events of the past few decades, from the
1980s until now have resulted in something of a revolution in

Personality Assessment of Jackie Robinson Essay
Personality Assessment of Jackie Robinson
Every individual in our society is different; each person is known or described differently from one
another. The Big Five Factors: neuroticism, extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness, and
conscientiousness, are thought to describe and outline personality in all cultures and language
families. They characterize the differences in humankind and can be used to predict or explain job
performance. Jackie Robinson was a man who I would describe as having a strong and persevering
personality. He grew up at a time when racial tensions were at their worst, and yet, managed to

almost all of his actions. Over time, he had learned how to exercise self control to answer insults,
violence, and injustice with silence and had learned how to earn the respect of (his) teammates (81).
Jackie Robinson s score for extraversion was a 78, meaning that although he was extraverted, at times
he demonstrated some introverted traits. Although he was a friendly individual, Robinson, in many
situations, was forced to keep to himself. In addition, he liked to take it easy whenever possible,
gearing up for whatever was to come his way. He also, however, had some extraverted traits, including
the fact that from the time he started school, he was always active, whether it be in sports, or working
with the First African American Bank or the NAACP. He was a true leader with the First African
American Bank and the NAACP, speaking in front of many people, and being aggressive enough to
accomplish what was needed. Robinson constantly demonstrated attempts to be gregarious and to be
recognized by others. Although he remembers standing alone at first base the only black man on the
field, he fought hard to become just another guy . Jackie Robinson never quit because things went the
wrong way. If anything, hardships forced him to work harder at succeeding. When he went on into the
business world, he always strove to learn as much

Throughout the span of the past few weeks I have traversed the globe, visiting several countries and

How you phrase a question makes all the difference in the world. A query asked in two separate ways
can result in two completely different answers. amp;#8220;A question is the most important tool we
have ; states Postman. Take scientists for example. Their entire career is based on asking questions,
stating a hypothesis, and furthermore, answering them by conducting experiments.
Postman calls for the art of question asking to be infused with the current school curriculum, because
to often students do not ask questions. When a student arrives at school on the first day they often
notice many changes. Although welcome, these changes sometimes make a student wonder why he or
she was not asked if they would prefer them. This is the perfect example of how one phrases a
question wrong. Although a student might voice their opinion by saying, amp;#8220;I would like a
better school ; they don amp;#8217;t imply in which way they would like to achieve that.
Although it was a noteworthy concept, I found it to have many flaws. Postman believes that this
concept be put on high priority. He never examines how teachers are to teach this radical way of
thinking. There are other factors in a student amp;#8217;s high school career, and his ideas are not the
only ones that need to be considered.
Yet again I find that Postman amp;#8217;s third concept is

Marketing and Ice Cream
Q1. How structurally attractive is the Russian ice cream market? Discuss how its industry structure
can be made more attractive? (663 words)
The political and financial instability had greatly impacted Russian ice cream industry. The financial
crisis in 1998 and the devaluation of the ruble had greatly reduced Russian market s consumption
ability. It also increased the production cost of Russian ice cream producers who relied on external
market for raw materials. The shrinkage of frozen import market heavily impacted by the financial
crisis forced the wholesales entered the ice cream market, which intensified the competition in the
market. Russian government s value added tax further decreased the profit of ice cream producers.

They would further squeeze the profit margin of producers. Therefore a lower cost would guarantee
better profit margin. Since consumption in this segment had a strong seasonality, the ability to recoup
the cost of extra producing capacity would be necessary to reduce the cost.
Family consumption segment was relative small, but it was the most promising. Compared with
impulsive consumption segment, it had less seasonality since ice cream was eaten in the warm houses
in winter, which reduced the demand to producing capacity. Shelf space in the super market was
crucial to succeed in this segment. To get this valuable resource, two measures should be adopted.
Firstly, building a close relationship with supermarket was a necessity. This cooperation would
guarantee the shelf space. A strong brand with strong customer preference would pull the demand and
increase the bargaining power with supermarket. Secondly, a special package and longer quality
guarantee period was necessary as well. If the products could be kept long, supermarket would have to
discount the product as the deadline approaching.
Café and restaurant consumption segment was the most lucrative and most demanding segment.
Alignment between the products and lifestyle was the basis in this segment. A high quality product
without a prestige brand could not survive in this segment. Therefore heavy investment on adverting

Defining Social Roles for Men and Women in India through...
Social Roles for Men and Women in India through Traditional Hindu Texts Throughout this essay, I
will discuss the social roles of men and women in the home, within rituals and within creation. I will
look at the roles of a husband and wife, as well as Goddesses and Kings. The main traditional texts
that support these roles are the Rg Veda, the Kalpa Sutras, the epics (the Ramayana and Mahabharata),
Tryambaka, and Manu Smrti. They are believed to lay the foundations for order in society, as well as
giving people the knowledge of their duty. I will show how these separate texts have defined roles
within castes and genders and show how their different styles of writings have defined roles in
different ways. A person s role in society ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first three are called the twice born. This is brought about by the initiation ceremony (upanayana)
at which they are ceremonially reborn and assume the sacred thread. The Saudras are not permitted to
perform this ceremony. There is also a class called the `Untouchables , which are outside the caste
system as they are too polluted and contact with whom was considered polluting. These people deal
with things that are seen as polluted, e.g. bodily fluid and certain animals. All these different classes
determine a person s duty in society. A person s duty in known as their `Dharma . This is dependant on
their caste, as well as their age and Gender. For example a woman s duty in the Brahmanical caste
would be different from a mans. This is mainly because a woman is prohibited from reading the Veda.
It is believed that this is one of the six things that cause a woman to fall. This was written in the
Stridharmapaddhati of Tryambakayajvan, (guide to the religious status and duties of women). A
person s age also comes into account. The main sources of Dharma are believed to be in the Veda, the
Kalpa Sutras, as well as the epics, the Ramayana and Mahabharata. All these texts have helped to
shape what peoples duties are in life, as I will show later on in this essay. The main feature that
dharma brings to society is a sense of social structure or

  • 2. Aquinas Weaknesses In Core Questions in Philosophy, Sober describes the first two ways of Aquinas for the existence of God as a division of causation. In this paper, I will examine the first two arguments of Aquinas, while each has its weakness, the weaknesses outweigh the strengths. The first argument comes with the weakness of not being able to survive modern physics. Whereas, the second argument delivers the weakness of the conclusion not following the proposition. Combined, I believe that both arguments do not exhibit strengths in their form and verification. The New Method Of The Creation Of Savior Critics argue that permitting the creation of savior siblings through PGD is the first step down a slippery slope that ends with frivolous reasons for selecting an embryo over another. The procedure would open the door for parents to decide on specific characteristics of their babies. This is the creation of fully fledged designer babies . As in the words of Josephine Quintavalle , the new technique is a dangerous first step towards allowing parents to use embryo testing to choose other characteristics of the baby, such as eye color and sex . It is distinctly different selecting for a specific HLA match to save the life of a dying child and selecting for the color of a baby s eyes. One ought to accept that savior siblings and other designer babies are morally different, and therefore, one can support the idea of a savior sibling while rejecting the concept of a designer baby. In the case of the former, the prima facie case saving a life, as concluded by Sheldon and Wilkinson, for permitting savior siblings selection is much stronger than permitting designer babies because there is an important reason for the first but not for the second (535). The value of a person s life is of much greater value the color of another s eyes or hair or their height and weight. An example of Carpenter s bold behavior came when she reached over a neighbor s fence to sell bees. The diet adventure was not always bad. Corruption In Canterbury Tales Essay Bryson Miller Ms. Morris English 12 3rd 5 December 2016 Upper Class of Canterbury Tales Some ill hearted people use corruption to achieve the highest place in society. Even in the 1600 s Shakespeare writes about how corruption can shape a society. Corruption can cause an unbalance of power in the wrong places. Geoffrey Chaucer writes about certain classes in the fourteenth century. Chaucer uses the upper class in Canterbury Tales to show the importance of corruption through the following characters: The Friar, the Pardoner, and the Summoner. Making his way to the upper class, the Summoner destroys the church system by using his power to help his finances. Industrialisation lead to urbanisation and more people flocked from rural areas to towns creating more disease, and by the end of the 1800 s 80% of the population of Britain lived in cities. Steam powered cotton factories supplied half of the world and coal mining, in areas such as Newcastle, expanded to meet the demands of railway construction. Ship building increased and so did engineering. Farming was still big and machinery was easier to use and faster. Craftsman, blacksmiths and carpenters could be found in rural areas, and lace making was a popular industry there too. Factories were ill equipped but the conditions were bad. The state took over from the private, and law makers such as trade unions addressed and improved working conditions, particularly child labour. The 1833 factory act improved conditions for children and forbade factory owners from working children under 16 to work longer than 10 hours each day, and that children under 13 years were to get at least 2 hours of education per day. Coinciding with this theory, Carlisle (2011), schools developed healthy relationships after receiving proper training. For example, students whose cultural norms do not allow public assertiveness are viewed as inadequate nursing students. Students felt a conflict between pleasing their faculty and maintaining their own cultural identity. Students who try to meet the expectations of the dominant culture further conflict when they feel rejected by their families, who do not approve of the changes occurring in them (Patterson et al., 2004). Diverse students may choose to change their cultural practices and behaviors in order to be accepted; however, at times, this is not possible. As a result, these students may be forced to remain as the outsiders, fearful of challenging the status quo and struggling throughout the course of their education. It is imperative that nursing faculty return to the core values of the profession and apply the fundamental principle of caring to all students, not just those who reflect characteristics similar to their own. The profession of nursing cannot be viewed as one of cultural competence until educators realize that their students deserve the same culturally sensitive treatment as their patients (DeBrew, J. K., Lewallen, L. P., Chun, E., 2014). In addition to the ethnic and cultural struggles students face, in a study by Zaman (2008), it looked at gender sensitivity training and whether early childhood students get adequate training. When receiving gender sensitivity training the students engaged in self reflection about their attitudes and expectations toward boys and the effect those attitudes had on their teaching, resulting in less biased interactions. Such events may range from merciless persecution by a ruthless dictator to a furious tsunami that leaves destruction in its wake. As a result, governments spend billions on foreign aid projects aimed at helping populations rebuild themselves after a tragic event. Despite the funding and resources spent on these projects, their success rate is dismal. Coyne s book explains the flaws of state led humanitarianism. Using case studies that range from Afghanistan to Haiti, Coyne successfully argues against state aid proving that continuing with that approach is likely to remain unsuccessful. He further demonstrates that state aid fails to fulfill its mandate because the parties involved are either too arrogant or ignorant to acknowledge fundamental flaws of state led aid. He says that the influence of agenda driven opinions of blurs the objectives of financial assistance from the beginning. Since governments focus on what they should, rather than what they can do, the goals of the most aid funded projects in affected nations remain unrealized.
