Natural Lashes Persuasive Speech
Beautiful, long lashes are one of the top beauty aspects desired by women worldwide. Unfortunately,
not everyone can have full luscious lashes like the celebrities we see strutting their stuff on the red
carpet. Full, healthy lashes can take about two months to regrow and generally last about three months
before naturally falling out. Unhealthy lashes fall out at a much higher frequency due to their
generally brittle, dry state. However, there are some easy to implement strategies which can make a
real, and noticeable, impact to the growth of your own natural lashes, making them fuller, healthier
and more attractive. Moisturise them Luscious Lashes Moisturising your eyelashes protects against
dry, brittle lashes which tend to break, fall out

Jfk Assassination Theory
John F. Kennedy was only the fourth president to die by assassination in a nation that was less than
200 years old(Betsy). There are three theories that this essay will explore.Thyat the CIA played a part
in planning the assassination another one is that Lee Harvey Oswald was a CIA agent at the time and
the theory that Cuba was behind the assassination. In the history books and the knowledge in
everybody s head is that Lee Harvey Oswald was a lone shooter, but in the rest of this essay you`ll see
that there are many more possible versions for what happened. But one thing for sure is that JFK died
at the hands of somebody. On November 22, 1963, John F. Kennedy was on his way to speak at a
luncheon. As the car turned off Main Street at Dealey Plaza ,people heard gunfire coming from the
Texas School Book Depository. People watched in horror as the president was shot in the neck and
head (Death of a President). Just a few minutes later, the car arrived at Parkland Memorial hospital, ...

After the Bay of Pigs incident people suspected Cuba of being behind the assassination, but Fidel
Castro wanted to make sure he wasn t blamed, so he made a statement saying that this is absurd and
nobody under his control had any ideas of organizing the death of the president of the United States
and if he had heard of the plan he would ve put a stop to it (Watkins). There is no evidence proving
that Lee Harvey Oswald had any connection with Cuba when he committed the assassination of JFK.
The only evidence to prove this theory is that he tried to get a visa to go to Cuba, but he was allegedly
rejected because the government thought he was an undercover provocateur. (Lewis). There are many
different theories as to what happened, but many people believe that the attempt would have had to
come from a close source if they knew exactly when the best time that they can shoot and fatally hit

To The Virgins To Make Much Of Time Poem
*Hook*. While both poems, To the Virgins, to Make Much of Time by Robert Herrick and Spring by
Enda St. Vincent Millay, rely on the imagery of nature and poem structure to present their theme, the
meaning of the techniques are very different. *Thesis, here state actual literary devices*
In the poem To the Virgins, to Make Much of Time , Herrick presents life as something that is
beautiful and should be taken advantage of. Herrick utilizes the imagery of nature to propose the
meaning of life and instructions to make it the best. Carpe Diem is an expression where one seizes the
day, just as one gather ye rose buds while ye may (line 1). Herrick creates an image of a field filled
with rose buds that needs to be plucked, rose buds illustrating ... Show more content on

Vincent Millay spring is conveyed as the opposite, death and a meaningless life. The natural imagery
that Millay applies to the poem is very dark and tense. On the surface the smell of the earth is good
(line 8), it is apparent that there is no death (line 9) in spring, but the truth is under ground are the
brains of men [,] eaten by maggots [,] life in itself is nothing (line 11 14). The image that is created in
this poem fluctuates as first we are presents with a lie, that spring is beautiful in its entirety. However,
Millay reveals the truth of spring by talking about its weaknesses. Although natural is related to
beauty, in this poem Millay utilizes the natural essence of the underground earth and maggots to create
a very horrific and intense profile of spring. In addition the plot twist surprises the reader not only
through the words but also by the sudden change in the visualization. This surprise quickly makes the
reader visualize spring as death, the underground and maggots , instead of the smell of the earth and
absence of death Millay appropriately utilize the imagery of nature to promote the theme of how
spring signifies death and a pointless life. Furthermore this signifies that image and existence of death
overwhelms the beauty that life

What Are The Barriers To The Use Of Evidence Based Practice
Evidence based practice is the practice of making clinical decisions based off the best available
research evidence coupled with the nurse s own expertise, while also taking into account, the patient s
assessments and own personal preferences. This use of research has proven effective at providing
better outcomes and lower healthcare costs, yet there are several barriers, such as time, education, and
support, which prevent nurses from consistently using evidence based practice (AJN, 2012). The top
three barriers to the use of evidence based practice are lack of time, education, and support in
implementing new practices and using them consistently. One of the main barriers in using evidence
based practice is the lack of time in order to implement it into the nurse s days. In one study, many
respondents said that, both at work and outside of work hours, time was just not there (Brown,
Wickline, Ecoff, Glaser, 2009). In another study done many years later, time continued to be a main
concern for nurses and that they just didn t feel like it should be expected for them to keep up with the
research (Tacia, Biskupski, Pheley, Lehto, 2015). Many of these restraints on time can easily be
addressed though. Some issues, such as, short staffing can be fixed, while others would take more
work to address, such as, not having enough time at home to research due to familial obligations.
Setting aside specific time in the workday for nurse s to research or hiring more nurses in order to split
the work load and allow more time in between tasks for research could also be solutions to this
specific barrier. Another important barrier is nursing education. Nurses who graduated many years ago
were not taught evidence based practice and even current schools focus too much researching rather
than how to implement current research into care (AJN, 2012). This lack of knowledge on how to
implement may stem from the lack of knowledge on how to read and interpret research data or that
nurses might feel overwhelmed due to the fact that there is so much and might not know how to
narrow what is important or how to read all of it (Brown et al., 2009). In the Tacia study (2015),
advanced care nurses could easily point out

Pros And Cons Of The Cell Phone Service
Before we introduce the cellphones service provider, let s start off with a few facts and
recommendations:
1. It is highly recommended for students to be part of family plans! You share a certain amount of
data, text messages, and call hours with a group of people, usually around 3 to 6 people.
a. Some of the pros of family plans are:
i. It is definitely cheaper. ii. You have a leader who will remind you when to pay the bills. How
convenient is that?! That is, if you choose a good leader. And if you ended up being the leader, you get
to score some time management skills and you get to boss people around!
b. Of course, there are some cons:
i. Your family members can turn against you (by using way too much internet data, using up all the ...

▪ Text messaging (SMS) typically carries an additional charge if not included in a plan. Ask about
adding texting to your plan, as well as for any special international calling plans.
▪ Check with each cell phone carrier about coverage areas and reception. With some carriers, you have
better coverage over a larger area than others.
▪ Some cell phone companies sell only cell phones that work in their network. For example, the
iPhone® can only be used on AT T and Verizon networks.
▪ If you are planning to get a contract, once the contract is signed, you will be required to pay for the
entire length of the contract. If you leave your contract before your contract period ends, you will be
expected to pay a high fee. If you break your contract, you may not be able to get your deposit back.
▪ Some cell phone companies may ask for a proof of your address if you are signing up for a contract.
This includes a letter or a utility bill that has been mailed to where you are currently living in the US.

The 7s Framework Of Mc-Kinsey s Framework
McKINSEY S 7 S FRAMEWORK:
The 7s framework of Mc Kinsey is a management model that describes 7 factors to organize a
company in a holistic and effective way. The two persons who developed this model are Tom Peters
and Robert Waterman were consultants at Mc Kinsey and Co at that time. The published their 7 S
Model in their article Structure Is Not Organization (1980) and in their books The Art of Japanese
Management (1981).
The framework rest on the proposition that effective organizational change is best understood in terms
of the complex relationship between strategy, structure, systems, style, staff and shared values or super
ordinate goals.
The proposition of the 7 S model suggests that there are multiple factors which influence an

Cherokee Removal Essay
The Cherokee people were forced out of their land because of the settler s greed for everything and
anything the land had to offer. Many Cherokee even embraced the civilization program, abandoning
their own beliefs so that they may be accepted by white settlers. Unfortunately for the Cherokee
though, the settlers would never accept them as an equal citizen. A quote from historian Richard White
says it very well, The Cherokee are probably the most tragic instance of what could have succeeded in
American Indian policy and didn t. All these things that Americans would proudly see as the hallmarks
of civilization are going to the West by Indian people. They do everything they were asked except one
thing. What the Cherokees ultimately ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In order to be civilized Cherokee men had to cease hunting and attend to either the fields of herd
livestock. This was due to the view by the settlers that the Cherokee men were lazy because the
settlers viewed hunting as fun and a sport. Because many felt that working in the fields was something
that is a woman s job many turned to herding livestock as an alternative. Cherokee women were told
that they could no longer work in the fields but should work in the household as a subservient. Many
of the Cherokee had a hard time with this as well because they felt that the women settlers were lazy
and they did not want their women to be the same way. Soon though many Cherokee women began
working in the household, cooking, cleaning, or sewing. The main way Cherokees could be
considered civilized was to accept Christianity. The U.S. government sent missionaries into Indian
Territory to build schools. At these schools though they not only taught literature, math, and English,
but they also taught young Cherokees how to read using the Bible and

Inside Out By Pete Docter
INSIDE OUT DIRECTED BY PETE DOCTER Inside out is a disney cartoon film directed by Pete
Docter. It follows the story of a preteen girl named Riley and her emotions that are represented as
characters in the film, with an angle of meeting the little voices inside your head . Representing the
five major emotions are the characters Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust and Fear, who take us on a
journey through the brightly coloured, amazing, exhilarating wonderland of Riley s mind, conquering
many troubles along the way. I thoroughly enjoyed this film and found that although aimed at a
younger audience I think it touches on very relevant topics that are essential for life, such as
individuality and acceptance of others, that are both resourceful and important for everyone of all ages
to know and learn about making it an appealing and enjoyable film for all. The concept of acceptance
of others was definitely present throughout the entire film, however the full effect and realisation of
this concept didn t come into play till towards the end of movie when I felt personally, a realisation
sensation stuck. In the beginning of the film we are introduced to the characters who represent Riley s
emotions. Although each are responsible for certain areas of Riley in particular, it is strongly apparent
that the emotion Joy is the ringleader within the group, and takes pride in being so. Joy however is a
character that contradicts another one of the emotions Sadness, as you would expect.

World War I And The Treaty Of Versailles
Have you ever wondered why World War II happened despite World War I being the war to end all
wars? World War I lasted four years and was very gruesome. Much of the Western Front was
destroyed and about 10 million people died. Germany ended the war by ceasing fire and making an
armistice on November 11, 1918. The Allied Power had successfully defeated the Central Powers and
America had accomplished their goal to end the war. After the surrender from Germany, the Allied
Power met up to make a treaty with Germany, however, Germany was not invited to come and
negotiate. The Treaty of Versailles would soon be created and it would put most of the blame of World
War I on Germany. The Treaty of Versailles contributed to the onset of World War II ... Show more

There were four main leaders during the Versailles Conference and they were: Woodrow Wilson,
George Clemenceau, David Lloyd George, and Vittorio Orlando. Each of them had major goals that
would benefit them since the war was on their land. Vittorio Orlando, the Prime Minister of Italy,
worked to get the extra land for Italy. Originally, they would not have been able to do this since Italy
was originally an ally of Germany, but they switched over to the Allied Powers in 1915 and declared
war on Germany. Italy was promised land as a reward for helping out and switching over to the Allied
Powers. David Lloyd George, the Prime Minister of Great Britain, asked for justice and not for
revenge. He wanted Germany to pay for the damages done to Britain s military, Germany s colonies,
and for Gremany to be stipped of its navy. He also helped Wilson and Clemenceau compromise.
George Clemenceau, the Prime Minister of France, wanted both revenge and to punish the Germans.
He wanted Germany to pay for the damage done during the war and to weaken Germany so that they
could never invade France again. He also wanted Germany to give up Rhineland, Alsace Lorraine, and
the Saar. Lastly, he wanted Germany to be totally and permanently disarmed so that it could not attack
other nations. Woodrow Wilson, the President of the United States of America, just wanted to end the
war by making a fair peace treaty. He devised the

North Middle School Dress Code These are some things I suggest be included in the new dress code:
Leggings may not be worn without a skirt, dress, shorts, etc. Only beanie hats are allowed Tank tops
don t have a set minimum width for straps, as long as it has straps First off, I believe leggings should
not be worn without a skirt, dress, shorts, etc. Students may wear leggings in gym, but for a regular
school schedule, they are not permitted. Leggings are not pants, therefore, they should not be worn as
pants. They were simply meant to be an undergarment to keep legs warm under a dress or skirt.
Sweatpants are allowed, and are an excellent alternative to leggings. Many believe hats should not be

Framing And Reframing
Framing and reframing plays a dynamic role in conflict development. Reframing may cause a shift in
the development of the conflict this will affect the conflict management or the resolution of the
conflict. Framing is built on assumptions we implement whereas reframing challenges these
assumptions to draw alternative solutions. Reframing is a way to identify what is important to you or
others rather than focusing on negative actions or emotions of yourself or others. Focusing on the
positive action, emotion and values will shift our thinking from the negativities and this will allow the
person to be less stressed and more relaxed. For example here is a negative statement and it s positive
reframe. Statement: David never shares information.

Essay on Elizabeth Blackwell
We define moral courage as the ability to act rightly in the face of popular opposition, shame, scandal,
or discouragement. When we say a person has moral courage, we speak of things like ethics, good and
evil, right and wrong. This is the kind of person who does bold things. They do these things not
because they are trying to make a name for themselves or impress their peers, but because it is the
right thing to do. A person with moral courage stands up in the face of adversity. There are many
examples of moral courage throughout the history of our country. Certainly, we would think that
Abraham Lincoln was a man of moral courage. He was the leader of our country, and took a stance on
slavery that was not popular to everybody. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This made her more than a match for her brothers and sisters. She didn t think sickness of any kind
was a cause for pampering. She did not have the beauty or cleverness of her sisters, or even the
popularity, but she had a toughness about her that none of her siblings had. But the physical strength
and toughness could not make up for the many frustrations that Blackwell faced growing up. She was
always the odd one, or the one who was left out. She wrote many of her private thoughts in a journal.
One time she wrote that it felt strange to be left completely out of sight. Other times she wrote that she
would be punished for doing things that her brothers and sisters did, and got away with. Even though
Elizabeth Blackwell was a good student, she finished her formal schooling in June of 1836, she did
not shine at social gatherings like her sisters did. She wrote in her journal that she was afraid that she
would never dance gracefully, or that she was an extra spoke in the wheel. She even wrote one time
that a hermit s life was better suited for her. There was one activity that Elizabeth poured her heart and
soul into much more than others. This was the anti slavery movement. All the older members of the
family were involved as well. Anti slavery was the one area of community life in which women were
permitted full participation.

Dr. Bronner s Magic Soaps
Executive Summary Dr. Bronner s Magic Soaps has the capability to expand into Tanzania based on
its key resources and strengths in the company. Tanzania is the right country to enter because of recent
economic and urban development with a need for the product. Dr. Bronner s will have to be aware of
the competitive rivalry and threat of substitutes in the industry to be successful. Also, the political,
economical and social factors must be taken seriously before entering.
Introduction
Dr. Bronner s Magic Soap, the number one selling organic soap in North America has expanded into
twenty nine different countries. However, an expansion into Tanzania would be the first movement
into a country in Africa for the family owned business. There is great complexity in expanding into a
new country, but certainly when it is a new continent. After analyzing the company and the product in
the first installment, I will be now evaluating the country and the industry using a Porter s five forces
analysis and PESTLE analysis.
Country Analysis Tanzania is a developing nation located in East Africa in the African Great Lakes
region. Despite its low per capita income, Tanzania has established a significant growth rate in the last
several years. There are several reasons Dr. Bronner s Magic Soap should invest in the country due to
projected economic development, future urbanization, intriguing cities to invest, and a serious need
for the product.

Poe Hawthorne
Comparison/ Contrast of Poe/ Hawthorne Poe and Hawthorne are the most significant American
writers of 19th century. They have their own way of relating to their audiences that s varied and
similar at the same time. Poe s writing involves the reader emotionally. Hawthorne on the other hand
considers author s imagination important and paints a picture based on it. These innovative thoughts
and experimentations in language have forever changed what we appreciate in writing. Poe and
Hawthorne used various techniques in their writing including symbolism, allegory, suspense,
characterization and great use of setting to make it very real to the reader. Both gothic writers set a

Hooper s state of mind. These authors uses of language skills show not only their excellent command
of the English language but also their great desire to find the perfect word to fit their story and their
style of writing.
The greatest underlying difference in Poe and Hawthorne s stories are their categorized styles.
Hawthorne is an author drawn to writings of romance, which holds broad guidelines. He uses his
unexplained happenings as part of this genre. Hawthorne uses his characters to portray his belief that
the truth of life comes from the human heart. Hawthorne s romantic literature likes to use the
extraordinary. The importance of nature plays a strong role when the secrecy and evil of the woods are
described and gossiped about in The Scarlet Letter. All of these aspects portray stories built on the
romance theory, which Hawthorne helped to develop.
Poe s writing style was much like that of Hawthorne s, but drew from the darker side of romance
creations. This gothic mood believed in the dark truths of the human heart, which are the ends and
motivations for many of his stories. Human corruption and violence ends in murder in The Black Cat .
Gothic writings move more into the supernatural side, which lets observer of the see a living person in

The Tyger Diction
Culminating Activity: The Tyger In the poem The Tyger William Blake displays a whimsical tone
throughout the story. Throughout the poem the author makes deep connections to heaven and hell and
the heavens sending things down to earth. William Blake uses the literary devices syntax, diction,
figurative language and imagery to construct the whimsical tone and the beauty of this world. The
authors use of syntax helps the reader feel like there in a children s story reading about a mythical
creature. The author repeats the first and last stanzas of the poem. The first and last stanzas say Tyger,

The poem is depicting heaven and hell when it talks about the deeps and the skies . When Blake talks
about the deeps and the skies it makes the the poem have a dreamy magical feeling. When the poem is
about a tiger and then the poet talks about heaven and hell it makes the reader envision the forest a
bright tyger and objects coming down from the skies and from the ground. Also imagery is used when
Blake declares the stars threw down their spears . This depicts that the heavens are throwing down
objects at the lion. This gives the poem a scared feeling and a magical component because the heavens
can not literally throw things down to earth so the must be using magic or dreaming that the heavens
can do that. Another use of imagery is when the author refers to the lamb making the reader think
about children s bible stories and pictures that depict a lion or a lamb. In this case the reader can make
the connection that the tyger is the lion and in the bible story the lion is the king of the world or God.
When the poet changes the main characters meaning or characteristics it allows the reader s
imagination to explore and dream up what the story is actually meaning and relate it to their whimsical
childhood stories.

Love Is A Powerful Human Emotion
Love is a powerful human emotion. Everyone will experience love at some point in their life. It is
almost impossible to avoid love. From loving your parents as a baby to loving your first pet, you will
encounter it. Every human being is capable of love but unfortunately, many have crippled themselves
with all kinds of stupid belief systems, opinions, philosophies, ideologies everything except life. If
you are life, it is very natural to love (Sandhguru). The four young lovers in A Midsummer Night s
Dream encountered love and ended up doing anything to keep that love.
In the beginning of A Midsummer Night s Dream Hermia and her father, Egeus, are arguing over who
she should marry. Back in these times a father could decide who his daughter marries whether she
loves the man or not. Hermia has fallen in love with Lysander but her father wants her to marry
Demetrius. The love Hermia feels for Lysander is so strong that she doesn t care what her father
thinks. Hermia and Lysander form a plan to escape Athens and go into the woods where they can love
freely. In A Midsummer Night s Dream, Athens represents the physically grounded world of facts,
while the woods represent the metaphysical world of the poet s imagination (Ritcher). The
consequences of these actions do not even occur to Hermia and Lysander because the power of love
blinds them. Hermia does not realize that she is breaking Athenian law by not wanting to marry the
man her father has chosen for her. But again

Stalin Darkness At Noon Analysis
Stalin consciously and purposefully conducted a series of purges of the Bolshevik party in the 1930s.
These purges, and the Show Trials that accompanied them, solidified his cult of personality and
control of the country. Old Bolsheviks who opposed him in the past or could do so in the future were
arrested, made an example of, and typically executed. Stalin and his Politburo truly believed that
many people were out to get them, and anyone who was not on Stalin s side was against him. Often
the accused were convicted due to inaccurate or fraudulent evidence. Although Stalin was the main
perpetrator of these Purges, this essay examines the role of the accused in Darkness at Noon by Arthur
Koestler, and Last Letter to Stalin by Nikolai Bukharin, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Both figures believe that throughout their entire life, their loyalty to the party has been unhindered, yet
question the system after being convicted and interrogated. During a scene in the novel where
Rubashov lectures Richard, a young German communist, Rubashov tells him, The Party can never be
mistaken...it is the embodiment of the revolutionary idea in history...knows no scruples and no
hesitation...makes no mistakes...he who has not absolute faith in history does not belong in the Party s
ranks (Koestler, p 43). Rubashov s beliefs mimic Bukharin s unyielding stance on communist
principles and party policies. Bukharin says, I know all too well that great plans, great ideas and great
interests take precedence over everything, and I know that it would be petty for me to place the
question of my own person on a par with the universal historical tasks resting, first and foremost, on
your shoulders. In these two men, the realization is that the party is the ultimate goal, individual
people can be wrong but the Communist party can never be mistaken. Not believing in these ideals is
a direct opposition to the party itself. Later in the novel Rubashov realizes that that Party s policies are
actually going against the ideals the revolution stood for when he tells Ivanov, in the interest of a just
distribution of land we deliberately let die of starvation about five million farmers...we sent about ten
million people to do forced labor...Our engineers work wight he constant knowledge that an error in
calculation may take them to prison or the scaffold...we whip the groaning masses of the country
towards a theoretical future happiness (Koestler p 163). This is where we see a split in the ideologies
of Bukharin and Rubashov. While Rubashov has lost belief in the party system, Bukharin still justifies
Stalin s actions. He still thinks there is something great and bold about the

The Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt
The Muslim Brotherhood has been part politics in Egypt for more than 80 years. It was originally
formed by Hassan al Banna in 1928. The Muslim Brotherhood is a combination religious and political
group based on the belief that Islam is not just a religion, but a way of life. It dictates a separation
from secularism, returning to the rules of the Quran based on healthy families, communities, and
states. The brotherhood focused on two key principles. They are (1), the introduction of the Islamic
Sharia or way of life or principles, by controlling the affairs of state and society, and (2), working to
achieve unification of the Islamic countries and states, mainly among the Arab states, and liberating
them from foreign imperialism. The group concentrated on religion, education and social services. As
its membership grew, it moved into the political sphere, organizing protests against the Egyptian
government. The Brotherhood is the oldest and largest opposition group in Egypt. It has had
widespread support among Egypt s middle classes, and its members control many of the country s
professional organizations. Up until 2011, under Egyptian law, it banned all parties based solely on
religion. Sayyid Qutb, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood in the 1950s and 1960s, developed the
doctrine of jihad, and the radical group Hamas. It is believed to be an offshoot of the Palestinian
Muslim Brotherhood. Egypt s Islamists and the Muslim Brotherhood have a history of perseverance.

theories of development include Jean Piaget, Lev Vygotsky, and Erik Erikson. Along with the theories
of development, there are theories of learning. The four main theories include cognitive,
constructivism, social cognitive, and situative. First and foremost, Jean Piaget can be considered a
pioneer in psychology. His theory is considered one of the most influential and comprehensive
theories of cognitive development. This theory focuses on how nature and development influence
human intelligence. Piaget also describes how crucial a child s environment is when the child is
maturing and interacting with changes throughout their life. Different life changes can teach a child
right or wrong, cause and effect, and a comprehensive learning about how time and space work. In
Piaget s theory, he discusses the four stages to cognitive development: sensorimotor, preoperational,
concrete operational, and formal operational. The sensorimotor stage is how a child orients himself
with the constant physical movements and actions along with a corresponding stimulus representing
the same thing. Therefore, a child is only aware of something that is right in front of them. For

The Pros And Cons Of African Americans In Reconstruction
The Civil War ended in 1865 and while the thirteenth amendment was being passed lots of African
Americans faced problems. With the death of Abraham Lincoln, Andrew Johnson became president
and while he worked with Lincoln he lacked Lincoln s critical thinking and thought that African
Americans shouldn t be involved in reconstruction. The definition of freedom is the power or right one
has to speak and think as one wants without restraint. Although African Americans were still being
treated like vermin by whites and struggled economically they were politically free. In the year 1866,
the Civil rights act was passed and it allowed African Americans to own property and be treated
equally in court. The only problem with that was the south refused to obey the laws. Once Johnson
pulled all the men out of the south who were suppose to protect the rights of African Americans
everything fell apart. Henry Adams was traveling and six miles south of town he was beaten by four
white men with sticks. The men threatened to kill every Negro that claimed he did not belong to
anyone. On his way to Shreveport, he noticed twelve colored men and women beat, shot and hung (
doc D). So, while blacks were free many people in the South believed the there way of life was better
and continued to treat African Americans poorly. It got to the point where President Johnson came up
with new rules for African Americans that they would abide by. These new rules were called the Black
Codes (C). The Black

Introduction
Throughout the course of one s academic and professional career, one will be required to create,
present, and receive needed information via numerous presentations which utilize slide deck software
such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Apple s Keynote. In this project, I will discuss the
effective use of these applications to create presentations which effectively utilize elements of visual
design to effectively communicate with an audience. My interest in this topic comes from my
experience as both a student and a professional. In these capacities, I have regularly experience both
the audience and the presenter side of slide shows and I have seen how this method of disseminating
information can both excite and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Technology has given anyone with basic computer knowledge the ability to create multimodal blended
structure slide decks, and then distribute this media throughout the internet. I utilized The Non
Designer s Design Book because it emphasizes the four basic principles of good visual design, which
can easily be applied to create slide based presentations. These four principles include contrast,
repetition, alignment and proximity. The proper implementation of the principles are key to the
creation of an effective slideshow presentation. Another influential reading from our course which I
am able to apply to my project is Visual Language for Designers. The main points I take from this
reading, which are applicable to this project are the idea of minimalism in a low fidelity visual and the
idea of reducing the quantity of elements in a visual.
For this project, I also utilized other sources which dealt directly with the effective use of visual in
presentations. One valuable project resource was a 2014 TEDx talk given by David JP Phillips entitle
How to Avoid Death by PowerPoint. The main points taken from this source include the limitation of
one topic per slide, the importance of the size of visuals in presentations, the ability to capture the
attention of an audience with the effective use of

Big Dat An Essential Part Of Every Business Operation
Introduction:
You may have heard the term Big Data often these days and the importance of analytics attached to it.
The availability of good data set and analytics of it provide organizations ability to understand
consumer behavior and future prospects. This has now become an essential part of every business
operation. Data itself is not a new thing to humans, written records have been in existence since 4th
millennium BC. What has changed recently is that with digital inventions and significant growth in
internet access, most people are on the electronic grid for longer periods and spending lot of time on
emails, messaging, entertainment and social media applications. This huge growth in data generation
has given birth to the concept of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For most organizations, data analysis is a challenging task, as first it require dealing with both
structured and unstructured forms of data. Then an organization may have to deal with data stored
across many separate silos (as various groups such as sales marketing; operations and supply chain
management etc., may have separate IT systems). It is also quite possible that most of the silo systems
do not talk to each other, this is especially true of the legacy platforms which may have technical
challenges in connecting to each other or may require use of special software interfaces. Lastly the
volume of data is large to process and the traditional tools may not be effective to do such analysis. To
handle various types of data (structured and unstructured) and large data volumes, many vendors have
developed specialized software which can perform predictive analysis, data mining, forecasting and
optimization. Together these tools are referred to as high performance analytics.
In comparison to the traditional business intelligence, big data does provide major improvements.
Traditional business intelligence is top down approach whereas big data is bottom up and empowers
end users with a valuable analysis thus enabling them to take prompt and smart business decisions.
The value generated from big data analytics is applicable to all sectors. The advantages of big data
analytics are huge but it also raise serious concerns

Single Point Incremental Forming Of Conventional Holes...
Single Point Incremental Forming Conventional hole flanging is a forming procedure used to make
round or awry flanges. In this procedure, a holed sheet, inflexibly settle to a pass on with a clear
holder, is plastically distorted chiefly by bending and circumferential extending with a punch. In hole
flanging by single point incremental forming (SPIF), a level sheet with a pre cut hole is shaped by a
solitary point rotating instrument that continuously delivers a smooth, round flanged lip. The forming
device is driven by a CNC machine taking after continuously a pre built up direction. The material is
currently predominantly distorted by a mix of circumferential and outspread extending and bending.
There are numerous modern utilizations of this procedure, for example, fortifying the edge of the
holes, enhancing its appearance or giving extra backing to joining sheet parts to tubes, among others.
Single Point Incremental Forming (SPIF) is an as of late incredible sheet metal part creation procedure
that is step by step developing towards modern applicability. In this procedure a sheet metal part is
shaped in a stepwise manner by a CNC controlled spherical rotating tool without the requirement for a
supporting (fractional) die. This system permits a moderately quick and shabby production of small
series of sheet metal parts.
In the SPIF procedure generic, freestyle shapes can be created utilizing a standard, circular, CNC
controlled instrument. The procedure begins

Quality Of Life And Health Organization
Background:
Currently, quality of life (QOL) as a measure of individuals subjective feelings on various aspects of

There s more than one way you can make money selling on Amazon. I m going to tell you about the

books but a whole range of things) on the exact same ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It costs 86p plus a referral fee for each sale. You are also restricted to the product categories you can
sell in. However, the advantage is that it costs virtually nothing to start and there are no ongoing
charges if, initially, you don t sell very much.
Selling a lot is for professional sellers who expect to sell more than 35 items a month. You pay a 28.75
monthly fixed fee and a referral fee. You can sell in all the Amazon product categories.
It isn t always viable to list low price, low volume products as a sell a little seller. To do that you need
to be a sell a lot seller! However, I d recommend you take the selling a little route to start out with.
You can always upgrade later.
Choose your option, then fill in the online form.
Pro Merchant Sellers
Once you are selling a lot you will probably also want to become what Amazon call a Pro Merchant
Seller. Pro Merchants have access to volume selling and bulk listing tools. There is a web interface
that allows you to more easily manage your product descriptions, inventory and orders. You will also
be able to export and import information to and from your account.
Once you get up and running the selling a lot/Pro Merchant option will work out much cheaper and,
importantly, will allow you to work on tighter margins and make money from sales that those who sell
just a little can t.

Essay On Women In The Great Gatsby
Throughout literature women are often displayed as idealized characters. Women in the eyes of society
are plagued with the stereotype of being kind, nurturing, and tender individuals while men are
established as ambitious, assertive, and tough. However, when the time comes for women to possess
the qualities of men and men of women, a turnaround of events can occur. Women were the
individuals that then shape the males into their ending personna. Shakespeare s Macbeth, George
Orwell s Nineteen Eighty Four, and F. Scott Fitzgerald s The Great Gatsby demonstrated the reversal
of gender roles through portraying women as the instigator of the male character s ultimate demise. In

how he made his riches. It is later learned that he gained his money dishonestly. Gatsby did this with

drove Gatsby into having the ambition of becoming rich. Daisy had even chosen Tom Buchanan to

Gatsby since Gatsby was not rich at the time they met. She even exaggerates her greed by killing
Myrtle and uses Tom to blame Gatsby to keep her life of wealth. Nick says They were careless people,
Tom and Daisy they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their

Solution Focused Brief Therapy Essay
Introduction
The emergence of Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) marked a changing of the guard within the
realm of psychotherapy. For the previous century, the profession had been dominated by theories and
practices, which was focused on unearthing a client s repressed memories or family issues in hopes of
identifying cracks in their mental and/or their emotional foundation that needed to be fixed. The
change in perspective and approach presented by Steven de Shazer and his counterparts provided
therapist and clients alike an opportunity to center in on the presenting issue, instead of prolonging the
process in search of hidden truths. While de Shazer presented an alternative thought process to the
therapeutic process, his model was the culmination of various therapist and models continuing to push
the envelope.
Historical Background
The American psychiatrist, Milton Erickson had been credited as one of the pioneers for stepping
away from conventional thinking. He suggested therapy must be intensive and required a long term
commitment. In fact, his stance of successful therapy often did not necessitate a lengthy therapeutic
relationship along with a small change by the client was the catalyst needed to bring about larger
change are both cornerstones in SFBT (Visser, 2013). Psychiatrist Gregory Bateson was responsible
for two significant contributions in the development of SFBT. The first was his view that the social

The Hours Theme
Michael Cunningham s The Hours tells the story of three women, each from different eras of society,
yet connected through the internal conflicts which they face. Laura Brown, one of the novel s three
protagonists, lives the white middle class American dream. However, throughout the novel her mental
health begins to deteriorate due to the oppressive lifestyle which she feels society has forced upon her.
The Virginia Woolf portrayed by Cunningham, was in fact historically accurate to the original Virginia
Woolf. Wolf struggled with mental illness throughout her lifetime and the idea of breaking the mold of
traditional women s roles. Unlike Laura Brown and Virginia Woolf, Clarissa Vaughn enjoys all of the
freedoms which the late twentieth century allows, but is still left questioning if her life of a
conventional wife and mother is lacking something. Character, to some extent is determined by
destiny, however, when society places limitations on an individual s free will, it will always create a
desire to break away from the mold. Above all other characters in The Hours , Laura Brown
challenges her destiny like no other. The post war society of America in the 1950s clearly defined the
roles in which women were expected to fill. Unlike most of the women which share her similar
suburban lifestyle, Laura feels dissatisfied with her life consisting of solely marriage and motherhood.
Throughout the course of the novel, Laura searches for an escape from this traditional way of

  • 2. Natural Lashes Persuasive Speech Beautiful, long lashes are one of the top beauty aspects desired by women worldwide. Unfortunately, not everyone can have full luscious lashes like the celebrities we see strutting their stuff on the red carpet. Full, healthy lashes can take about two months to regrow and generally last about three months before naturally falling out. Unhealthy lashes fall out at a much higher frequency due to their generally brittle, dry state. However, there are some easy to implement strategies which can make a real, and noticeable, impact to the growth of your own natural lashes, making them fuller, healthier and more attractive. • 3. Jfk Assassination Theory John F. Kennedy was only the fourth president to die by assassination in a nation that was less than 200 years old(Betsy). There are three theories that this essay will explore.Thyat the CIA played a part in planning the assassination another one is that Lee Harvey Oswald was a CIA agent at the time and the theory that Cuba was behind the assassination. In the history books and the knowledge in everybody s head is that Lee Harvey Oswald was a lone shooter, but in the rest of this essay you`ll see that there are many more possible versions for what happened. But one thing for sure is that JFK died at the hands of somebody. On November 22, 1963, John F. Kennedy was on his way to speak at a luncheon. As the car turned off Main Street at Dealey Plaza ,people heard gunfire coming from the Texas School Book Depository. People watched in horror as the president was shot in the neck and head (Death of a President). Just a few minutes later, the car arrived at Parkland Memorial hospital, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After the Bay of Pigs incident people suspected Cuba of being behind the assassination, but Fidel Castro wanted to make sure he wasn t blamed, so he made a statement saying that this is absurd and nobody under his control had any ideas of organizing the death of the president of the United States and if he had heard of the plan he would ve put a stop to it (Watkins). There is no evidence proving that Lee Harvey Oswald had any connection with Cuba when he committed the assassination of JFK. The only evidence to prove this theory is that he tried to get a visa to go to Cuba, but he was allegedly rejected because the government thought he was an undercover provocateur. (Lewis). There are many different theories as to what happened, but many people believe that the attempt would have had to come from a close source if they knew exactly when the best time that they can shoot and fatally hit the president ... • 4. To The Virgins To Make Much Of Time Poem *Hook*. While both poems, To the Virgins, to Make Much of Time by Robert Herrick and Spring by Enda St. Vincent Millay, rely on the imagery of nature and poem structure to present their theme, the meaning of the techniques are very different. *Thesis, here state actual literary devices* In the poem To the Virgins, to Make Much of Time , Herrick presents life as something that is beautiful and should be taken advantage of. Herrick utilizes the imagery of nature to propose the meaning of life and instructions to make it the best. Carpe Diem is an expression where one seizes the day, just as one gather ye rose buds while ye may (line 1). Herrick creates an image of a field filled with rose buds that needs to be plucked, rose buds illustrating ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Vincent Millay spring is conveyed as the opposite, death and a meaningless life. The natural imagery that Millay applies to the poem is very dark and tense. On the surface the smell of the earth is good (line 8), it is apparent that there is no death (line 9) in spring, but the truth is under ground are the brains of men [,] eaten by maggots [,] life in itself is nothing (line 11 14). The image that is created in this poem fluctuates as first we are presents with a lie, that spring is beautiful in its entirety. However, Millay reveals the truth of spring by talking about its weaknesses. Although natural is related to beauty, in this poem Millay utilizes the natural essence of the underground earth and maggots to create a very horrific and intense profile of spring. In addition the plot twist surprises the reader not only through the words but also by the sudden change in the visualization. This surprise quickly makes the reader visualize spring as death, the underground and maggots , instead of the smell of the earth and absence of death Millay appropriately utilize the imagery of nature to promote the theme of how spring signifies death and a pointless life. Furthermore this signifies that image and existence of death overwhelms the beauty that life ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. What Are The Barriers To The Use Of Evidence Based Practice Evidence based practice is the practice of making clinical decisions based off the best available research evidence coupled with the nurse s own expertise, while also taking into account, the patient s assessments and own personal preferences. This use of research has proven effective at providing better outcomes and lower healthcare costs, yet there are several barriers, such as time, education, and support, which prevent nurses from consistently using evidence based practice (AJN, 2012). The top three barriers to the use of evidence based practice are lack of time, education, and support in implementing new practices and using them consistently. One of the main barriers in using evidence based practice is the lack of time in order to implement it into the nurse s days. In one study, many respondents said that, both at work and outside of work hours, time was just not there (Brown, Wickline, Ecoff, Glaser, 2009). In another study done many years later, time continued to be a main concern for nurses and that they just didn t feel like it should be expected for them to keep up with the research (Tacia, Biskupski, Pheley, Lehto, 2015). Many of these restraints on time can easily be addressed though. Some issues, such as, short staffing can be fixed, while others would take more work to address, such as, not having enough time at home to research due to familial obligations. Setting aside specific time in the workday for nurse s to research or hiring more nurses in order to split the work load and allow more time in between tasks for research could also be solutions to this specific barrier. Another important barrier is nursing education. Nurses who graduated many years ago were not taught evidence based practice and even current schools focus too much researching rather than how to implement current research into care (AJN, 2012). This lack of knowledge on how to implement may stem from the lack of knowledge on how to read and interpret research data or that nurses might feel overwhelmed due to the fact that there is so much and might not know how to narrow what is important or how to read all of it (Brown et al., 2009). In the Tacia study (2015), advanced care nurses could easily point out ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Many Cherokee even embraced the civilization program, abandoning their own beliefs so that they may be accepted by white settlers. Unfortunately for the Cherokee though, the settlers would never accept them as an equal citizen. A quote from historian Richard White says it very well, The Cherokee are probably the most tragic instance of what could have succeeded in American Indian policy and didn t. This was due to the view by the settlers that the Cherokee men were lazy because the settlers viewed hunting as fun and a sport. Cherokee women were told that they could no longer work in the fields but should work in the household as a subservient. Many of the Cherokee had a hard time with this as well because they felt that the women settlers were lazy and they did not want their women to be the same way. Soon though many Cherokee women began working in the household, cooking, cleaning, or sewing. The main way Cherokees could be considered civilized was to accept Christianity. • 9. Inside Out By Pete Docter INSIDE OUT DIRECTED BY PETE DOCTER Inside out is a disney cartoon film directed by Pete Docter. It follows the story of a preteen girl named Riley and her emotions that are represented as characters in the film, with an angle of meeting the little voices inside your head . Representing the five major emotions are the characters Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust and Fear, who take us on a journey through the brightly coloured, amazing, exhilarating wonderland of Riley s mind, conquering many troubles along the way. I thoroughly enjoyed this film and found that although aimed at a younger audience I think it touches on very relevant topics that are essential for life, such as individuality and acceptance of others, that are both resourceful and important for everyone of all ages to know and learn about making it an appealing and enjoyable film for all. The concept of acceptance of others was definitely present throughout the entire film, however the full effect and realisation of this concept didn t come into play till towards the end of movie when I felt personally, a realisation sensation stuck. In the beginning of the film we are introduced to the characters who represent Riley s emotions. Although each are responsible for certain areas of Riley in particular, it is strongly apparent that the emotion Joy is the ringleader within the group, and takes pride in being so. World War I lasted four years and was very gruesome. Much of the Western Front was destroyed and about 10 million people died. Germany ended the war by ceasing fire and making an armistice on November 11, 1918. The Allied Power had successfully defeated the Central Powers and America had accomplished their goal to end the war. After the surrender from Germany, the Allied Power met up to make a treaty with Germany, however, Germany was not invited to come and negotiate. The Treaty of Versailles would soon be created and it would put most of the blame of World War I on Germany. The Treaty of Versailles contributed to the onset of World War II ... Each of them had major goals that would benefit them since the war was on their land. Vittorio Orlando, the Prime Minister of Italy, worked to get the extra land for Italy. Originally, they would not have been able to do this since Italy was originally an ally of Germany, but they switched over to the Allied Powers in 1915 and declared war on Germany. Italy was promised land as a reward for helping out and switching over to the Allied Powers. David Lloyd George, the Prime Minister of Great Britain, asked for justice and not for revenge. He wanted Germany to pay for the damages done to Britain s military, Germany s colonies, and for Gremany to be stipped of its navy. He also helped Wilson and Clemenceau compromise. George Clemenceau, the Prime Minister of France, wanted both revenge and to punish the Germans. He wanted Germany to pay for the damage done during the war and to weaken Germany so that they could never invade France again. He also wanted Germany to give up Rhineland, Alsace Lorraine, and the Saar. Lastly, he wanted Germany to be totally and permanently disarmed so that it could not attack other nations. • 13. Essay on Elizabeth Blackwell We define moral courage as the ability to act rightly in the face of popular opposition, shame, scandal, or discouragement. When we say a person has moral courage, we speak of things like ethics, good and evil, right and wrong. This is the kind of person who does bold things. They do these things not because they are trying to make a name for themselves or impress their peers, but because it is the right thing to do. A person with moral courage stands up in the face of adversity. There are many examples of moral courage throughout the history of our country. Certainly, we would think that Abraham Lincoln was a man of moral courage. He was the leader of our country, and took a stance on slavery that was not popular to everybody. ... But the physical strength and toughness could not make up for the many frustrations that Blackwell faced growing up. She was always the odd one, or the one who was left out. She wrote many of her private thoughts in a journal. One time she wrote that it felt strange to be left completely out of sight. Other times she wrote that she would be punished for doing things that her brothers and sisters did, and got away with. Even though Elizabeth Blackwell was a good student, she finished her formal schooling in June of 1836, she did not shine at social gatherings like her sisters did. She wrote in her journal that she was afraid that she would never dance gracefully, or that she was an extra spoke in the wheel. She even wrote one time that a hermit s life was better suited for her. There was one activity that Elizabeth poured her heart and soul into much more than others. This was the anti slavery movement. Every human being is capable of love but unfortunately, many have crippled themselves with all kinds of stupid belief systems, opinions, philosophies, ideologies everything except life. If you are life, it is very natural to love (Sandhguru). The four young lovers in A Midsummer Night s Dream encountered love and ended up doing anything to keep that love. In the beginning of A Midsummer Night s Dream Hermia and her father, Egeus, are arguing over who she should marry. Back in these times a father could decide who his daughter marries whether she loves the man or not. Hermia has fallen in love with Lysander but her father wants her to marry Demetrius. The love Hermia feels for Lysander is so strong that she doesn t care what her father thinks. Hermia and Lysander form a plan to escape Athens and go into the woods where they can love freely. In A Midsummer Night s Dream, Athens represents the physically grounded world of facts, while the woods represent the metaphysical world of the poet s imagination (Ritcher). The consequences of these actions do not even occur to Hermia and Lysander because the power of love blinds them. Rubashov s beliefs mimic Bukharin s unyielding stance on communist principles and party policies. Bukharin says, I know all too well that great plans, great ideas and great interests take precedence over everything, and I know that it would be petty for me to place the question of my own person on a par with the universal historical tasks resting, first and foremost, on your shoulders. In these two men, the realization is that the party is the ultimate goal, individual people can be wrong but the Communist party can never be mistaken. His theory is considered one of the most influential and comprehensive theories of cognitive development. This theory focuses on how nature and development influence human intelligence. Piaget also describes how crucial a child s environment is when the child is maturing and interacting with changes throughout their life. Different life changes can teach a child right or wrong, cause and effect, and a comprehensive learning about how time and space work. In Piaget s theory, he discusses the four stages to cognitive development: sensorimotor, preoperational, concrete operational, and formal operational. The sensorimotor stage is how a child orients himself with the constant physical movements and actions along with a corresponding stimulus representing the same thing. For the previous century, the profession had been dominated by theories and practices, which was focused on unearthing a client s repressed memories or family issues in hopes of identifying cracks in their mental and/or their emotional foundation that needed to be fixed. The change in perspective and approach presented by Steven de Shazer and his counterparts provided therapist and clients alike an opportunity to center in on the presenting issue, instead of prolonging the process in search of hidden truths. Unlike Laura Brown and Virginia Woolf, Clarissa Vaughn enjoys all of the freedoms which the late twentieth century allows, but is still left questioning if her life of a conventional wife and mother is lacking something. Character, to some extent is determined by destiny, however, when society places limitations on an individual s free will, it will always create a desire to break away from the mold. Above all other characters in The Hours , Laura Brown challenges her destiny like no other. The post war society of America in the 1950s clearly defined the roles in which women were expected to fill. Unlike most of the women which share her similar suburban lifestyle, Laura feels dissatisfied with her life consisting of solely marriage and motherhood. Throughout the course of the novel, Laura searches for an escape from this traditional way of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
