1. REJUVENATING SMILES
INTRODUCTION
Esthetic or cosmetic dentistry has become
one of the main arena of dental practice
nowadays. Esthetic is ‘something which is
pleasing in appearance’ and cosmetic
means ‘serving to beautify the body’.
These terms have almost become
synonymous in use, redefining our goal in
dental esthetics; to produce a result which
would be considered “bright, beautiful, but
believable”.

5. GINGIVAL VENEERS

•Can be used as an interim measure in cases where final treatment
planning decisions are delayed and can be used as a root coverage
after inflammation has been controlled.
• Gum veneers provide lip support, restores gingival architecture and
replaces lost interdental papilla
• Commonly used types are –acrylic resin veneer or flexible silicon
gingival mask.

6. CONCLUSION
Close attention to proper case diagnosis and to the steps
involved in the surgical procedure are crucial in maximizing
the predictability of these soft tissue procedures, in
achieving and optimizing the esthetic outcomes for the
patient .
