- Highly customizable.
- Not all themes are BP compatible. GenesisBuddy makes any Genesis framework theme BP compatible.Components can be activated individually, so you can have groups but no forums (for example).
- BuddyPress is a pick-and-choose solution. Each component can be activated separately.
- Setup your profile fields. This is almost entirely customizable. The only requirements are first & last name.Choose type of field, field name, and if it’s required or not. You even get to chunk your fields into groups such as “Education” and “About Me”.
- A view of the “base” and some custom profile fields.
- A mature user profile with @mentions activity stream.
- Groups are much like fb groups. They can also have forums.
- The “forums” with a view of how each group forum ties into the main forum system.
