Backing up your data is very important and has to be done every time you quit using the Medisoft program. It makes a copy of your data files made at a specific point in time that can be used to restore data.
Restoring data is the process of retrieving data from backup storage devices. Need to be done when you start the Medisoft program.
Rebuilding indexes is the process that checks and verifies data and corrects any internal problems with the data. It should be done once a month.
Packing data is the deletion of vacant slots form the database. If there is to much space being used on the hard disk than you should pack your data.
Purging data is the process of deleting files of patient who are no longer seen by the provider in a practice.
If the balance listed on the screen is not accurate than you should recalculate the balances. Recalculating balances is the process of updating balances to reflect the most recent changes made to the data.
