2. Common Convention of the Posters is the [oREC] to show that it is a
faux found however the vast majority of these posters are showing
this in different ways, most show close ups of a character or two.
3. What’s really noticeable about the design of these posters is that there's
usually a subject placed central on the poster with a screaming expression.
This tends to signify a horror thriller genre. If there isn't a screaming person,
its usually an enigmatic entity of sorts. Many Faux Founds in general tend
to use the oREC symbol as this is a common aspect shared among all found
footage films.
4. So bearing in mind what real up to date found
footage posters generally consist of, so I set to
work testing out different way of portraying OUR
found footage film. (trailer really)
Here is my first attempt at our poster..
My logic behind it is, 4 friends shown
being happy etc, with the Rec Sign
commonly found once again in Found
footage films. Of which I then
proceeded to go and add the static
lines, date and title. I then decided to
add in the enigmatic entity which to
be honest seemed awesome but really
wasn’t plus the light in the
background caused problems.
5. Attempt two.
Upon evaluation, attempt one looked scrappy and had
too much going on. So for attempt two I tried to keep it
relatively simple, I decided to add the central shouting
figure as it was a very common convention of these type
of posters. I also tried to keep the enigmatic entity, but
tried my best to make it un-noticeable at first glance.

6. Attempt Three
Above is a photo of me which I gave a distinct
blue tint too and cut out my eyes for a somewhat
spooky paranormal effect. Then the main aspect
below is the ground of the forest scene where
Francis's demise occurs. I then simply put my
spooky figure in theLCDscreen of my camera
and proceeded to add Photoshop filters to give it
that vintage, authentic look.
