Sps e portfolio setup quick guide
1. LOGGING IN
1. Log in to your ePortfolio account through the SPS ePortfolio Resource Website. To access from
Blackboard click on the ‘ePortfolio’ tab. Then, on the homepage, select the green ‘Login’ button.
2. You will be prompted to enter your username and password, then click ‘Log In.’ (If you’re new to ePortfolios,
you will need to accept the terms and conditions.) Once you log in, please update your password by clicking
on your name in the upper-right side of the screen.
CREATING YOUR Course ePORTFOLIO
1. After logging into Digication scroll down to My Courses. Select the course for which you wish to create your
ePortfolio.
2. Click on the e-Portfolios tab.

2. 3. Navigate to your instructor’s template and click on the Create e-Portfolio From Template >> button.
4. Fill in the title using first name last name course name and section FA12 (e.g. Jane Doe CC 401.02 SP12).

5. DO NOT click on the section that reads "Choose a Template," the template has already been selected for
you. Making any changes to this portion will result in an incorrect template selection.

3. 6. Skip the “Choose a Theme” section. You can always go back to your ePortfolio Settings to customize the
directory icon, header image, and custom CSS, and footer of your ePortfolio.
7. Leave the permissions for your ePortfolio set to "Private within CUNY Online" and do not remove your course
from additional permissions before the end of the course (this will allow everyone in your course including your
instructor to see your ePortfolio). If you do not feel comfortable sharing your ePortfolio outside of your class you
can change the main permissions to “Private to me.”
8. Choose whether you want to allow others to tag pages within your ePortfolio.
9. Set the comments settings per your professor’s instructions.
*If your instructor hasn’t provided this
information we recommend allowing comments
from Registered Users and Do not show
comments until after they have been
approved.
10. Click the Create New e-Portfolio
button to create your ePortfolio.
Once your ePortfolio has been
created, you will be taken to
your new ePortfolio!
